Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash Review

An erotic, wine red collar with multiple bondage points? Why yes, it’s real! This Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash review will tell you all about it!

The Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar is meticulously crafted from red Japanese cowhide leather and black lambskin nappa leather. All metal, included the 3 foldable D-rings on the front of the collar, include rose gold plating for a cohesive look.

Like all collars, the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash has an adjustable design. There are 9 strap holes that allow the collar to be adjusted to fit a circumference of 14.2″ to 18.9″. Once worn, the collar takes up about 1.8″ of neck height.

Making it easy to color-match your gear (and to start playing right away!), this collar also includes a rose gold chain leash. The leash has a total length of 42″, perfect for tugging someone around while still allowing a little bit of room between the two of you.

Both the red collar and the red leash lay out on a tiled surface. All three D-rings are sticking out from the collar. The color of the leather and metal perfectly match on both items. Image for my Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash review.

This Looks Like Liebe Seele’s Work…?

Good eye!

When I first saw the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash, I also thought it looked like a Liebe Seele original. (I’d say that’s how you, as a BDSM gear manufacturer, start to know you’re making a name for yourself!)

That is the case! While the packaging and marketing for this collar doesn’t have any mention of the leatherworker, the “Liebe Seele” logo is branded on the tail end fastening strap itself, like all Liebe Seele products. (Another”point” for Liebe Seele; I knew exactly where to look on their gear to find their branding.)

The Noblesse Collection appears to be made up of the Wine Red collection from Liebe Seele. (I’ve reviewed a few pieces of the set!)

That means this is a whole ‘nother new place to get your hands on some of the high-quality gear that Liebe Seele crafts! As MEO.de boasts, this gear is made from Japanese cowhide leather and lambskin nappa leather with the same attention to detail that I’ve seen on every other piece of gear from the manufacturer.

So now that you know you’re getting quality, let’s talk about the specifics.

Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash Review: How’s the Comfort?

This collection of Noblesse gear tends to be made with a drier, slippery-er leather than some of the other gear I’ve used. I noticed it on the cuffs, and I notice the same thing on the collar.

It’s interesting, really: it makes for a dry-feeling leather that feels slightly different than any other leather gear that I’ve handled. You may need to condition it, honestly, after its long journey in the warehouse and factory, but I’m reviewing the collar as-is, before any conditioning.

(What a cute way to “welcome” your collar into your home, though, with a session to require the future-wearer to lovingly condition and care for the collar to prepare it for the place around their neck!)

With that in mind, this BDSM collar slips and slides around the neck pretty nicely when everyone is dry. As sweat pools under the collar, the collar tends to use that to “grip” itself in place, and it does a lot less slipping.

(While testing for our Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash review, we noticed that the collar would swivel to face whichever bondage point it was being tugged on at the beginning of the BDSM scene, but that tendency to move the collar via a hard point calmed down after we were already into the scene and getting some moisture on the leather.)

The collar is propped up, shooting through the empty circle of the collar when it's fastened shut into a loop. This showcases the unpadded design of the collar as well as the multi-layer leather design. Two of the D-rings can be viewed, and they're unfolded and protruding away from the collar's surface. Luckily for us, there are no internal rivets on the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar. The inside of the collar has been finished with a layer of lambskin nappa leather, protecting the wearer from all of the rivets that help fasten those D-rings in place. As the collar swivels, it causes no discomfort. It just twists, thanks to this protective layer.

This extra, internal, protective layer of nappa leather keeps the collar comfortable – even as things get sweaty. There is no rivet to provide a different “sensation” on the neck. There are no changes in smoothness where the differing texture might get you (literally) scratching under the collar. It’s all one uniform piece that presses up against the neck.

That nappa leather also feels pretty darn nice. It has a slight plushiness to it (but not much). It’s smooth and unobtrusive, and that’s exactly what you want to allow the wearer to focus on wearing the collar instead of being distracted by the sensations of it.

We’ve worn this collar for short, quick sessions, and we’ve worn it for a lingerie shoot (with the waist cuff and the wrist and ankle restraints!). We’ve worn it for an afternoon of BDSM classes, and we’ve worn it for a service evening.

With the light padding, this collar wouldn’t be my first choice for lots of tugging and pressure on the neck. Regular pulls (with the leash) are fine, but I wouldn’t use this as an anchor point for other, heavier objects that would continually pull on the neck. The lack of padding in the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar keeps everything really comfortable for long-term wear, but it doesn’t offer much plushness against pressure points when a lot of tugging is applied.

This works just fine for everyday, standard uses of the collar, but if there’s a scene with constant pulling on the leash, you’ll find that the corresponding back-of-the-neck spot will get sore on your wearer relatively quickly.

I’d keep this one for regular, leashed play and choose a plushier, hardier collar for scenes where neck-tugging is a center point of your play.

Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash Review: Bondage Possibilities

This dark red BDSM collar includes three different D-rings. These D-rings are placed along the front side of the collar, relatively close together. The exact placement will vary based on your neck size, but using the adam’s apple as 6 o’clock, the D-rings are at 8, 6, and 4 on a clock face.

Each one of these D-rings folds in and out within the leather strip that holds the D-ring up against the neck. This means you can extend the D-ring when you want to use it, but you can also fold it back up against the collar when you don’t.

We found this extremely helpful, as my submissive is a very slender creature with protruding collarbones. A lot of BDSM collars with protruding D-rings can push down into his collarbones when at-rest. This one would have done the same – except we can easily fold in the D-rings to completely eliminate that frustration.

I do wish the D-rings were spaced out and further apart, but we honestly almost always use a single D-ring. Especially with the included leash, it simply makes sense.

But the 3 D-ring system does give you options if you wanted to use the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar as the centerpoint of any bondage that uses the neck to “anchor” someone. Two tethers could attach to the left and right sides of the collar, keeping the wearer’s neck in roughly the same place.

The Visuals!

The Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash is a beautiful coloration. I don’t often see dark, blood red bondage gear, and pairing with rose gold hardware really takes it up to the next level. In short, I’m in love with it.

The basic external color of the collar is this dark red. To take it up a notch, rivet straps, fastening strap, and internal leather of layer are all black. (This makes for a really pretty view when you view the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar from above, with a dual-color look.)

Standing out against this red and black coloration is the rose gold hardware. The rivets, fastening buckle, D-ring, and leash chain are all the same hue of rose gold, completely matching one another. Even the clip on the front side of the leash is that same rose gold coloration!

The only thing that interrupts the beautiful, cohesive visual of the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash is the slippery leather. If you have a wearer who’s on the skinnier spectrum, you’ll likely have a lot of excess material leftover when the collar is fully fastened. As you wear the collar and move around, you’ll probably find that the excess “tail” separates itself from the main circular line of the collar, interrupting the perfectly circular visual of the collar around the neck.

Clearly, this isn’t the end of the world, but it is something to keep an eye out for if you plan on taking sexting photos while wearing the collar. While this happens semi-often with most collars, the slippery leather of the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar does seem to make this happen even more often.

Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar with Leash: Let’s Talk about this Leash

The red and black coloration of this Noblesse bondage set means that any black leash would work with this collar.

However, the “rose gold hardware” aspect does make it a bit more difficult to perfectly color-match a leash.

That’s why it’s pretty fantastic that the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar actually comes with its own leash.

The included leash offers a thin, red cowhide leather handle with a full, long rose gold chain. At the end of the chain is a rose gold clip. This clip is medium in size, but it easily latches onto any of the 3 slender D-rings of the collar. (If you have hardy, thick D-rings on the rest of your gear, it may barely fit onto those D-rings.) For the included collar, though, it’s an easy fit.

The chain does make the expected metal-on-metal jingles when handled or piled. It does not make much of a jingle when fastened taut against the leash while tugging.

The wrist strap’s circumference is gigantic (about 3 times the size of my wrist), but I find that it makes it more comfortable. I usually loop it around my wrist then let the chain loop through the palm of my hand and exit between my pointer and middle fingers. This “anchors” the wrist strap around the thickest part of my wrist while simultaneously ensuring I don’t really have to “grip” the leash; it just hangs out on my wrist when I’m otherwise occupied with whatever kinky things we’re doing.

The leash chain is hardy AF, and I don’t see this breaking or having issues under play anytime soon. I’m trying to imagine how we’d snap it, and I think it’d probably snap mid-chain if you tried to use it to move a dishwasher or something. The clip and anchor point at the wrist strap are very sturdy.

As noted, though, if you don’t have the leash near you, any plain black leather leash will match the collar just fine. The metal hardware will be the hard thing to match, but you wouldn’t be too ugly with a black leather and silver clip.

Get the Full Collection

Knowing this beautiful collar was crafted by Liebe Seele, I had to wonder: does MEO.de sell the full collection that I know the manufacturer crafts?

The answer is yes!

Easy to find by searching for the “Noblesse” collection (MEO.de’s name for the coloration and collection), you can also get matching ankle cuffs, wrist cuffs, spreader bar, blindfold, and other accessories to add to your play.

Not only will they still be the impressive, high-quality you’ve come to know and love from any gear Liebe Seele makes, but it’ll also perfectly match your new collar, making for drool-worthy visuals. (Am I the only one who gets turned on by a cohesive outfit? I can’t imagine so.)

Summary

Looking for a BDSM collar that will turn heads? You probably want the unique coloration of the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar and its matching leash. The deep, dark wine red is simply gorgeous while the matching leash ensures your entire kinky ensemble will match.

Beauty doesn’t replace functionality, though, and the Noblesse BDSM Leather Collar set works great for bondage as well! With its lightweight, mostly-unpadded design, it doesn’t weigh down the wearer, and the finished interior lining means that it doesn’t feel scratchy or aggravating – even when you’re sweaty.

While I have a few qualms with it (like the 3 D-ring placement on the front of the collar being a bit close together), they’re mostly minor “quality of life” improvements that don’t affect the general functionality of this collar, and that is:

It’s a beautiful, high-quality, durable collar that will work fantastic for almost all general BDSM uses – especially if you’re looking for something to simply use to lead your partner around for hours on end.
