With a pair of luscious lips wrapped around a hollow air suction hole, this vibrator has a really unique design. How does it work? What pleasure can it offer? Join me for this AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Air Pulse review to find out!

Designed as an approachable option for newbies, the lips of the Kiss surround a hollow air suction hole. According to AVIDLOVE PLAY, everything that’s red uses 20-degree solid silicone and ABS components. The base is a painted metallic plastic with a gold-tone finish.

A single button to control all of the sensations is located right behind the “top lip” of the toy. This button controls the air pulse’s 3 steady intensities and 7 patterned modes.

The Kiss is about 4″ in total height. The lip face is slightly under 2.25″ in height with a width of 2.25″. The circular (not oval!) air pulse hole is built-in and is not interchangable. It is an impressively exact circle at 0.5″ in diameter in all directions.

How Does the AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Pleasure You?

The AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss has a lot of material near its tip. Its real claim to fame, though, is that circle in the center of all of the material.

That hollow circle in the middle is the Kiss’s air suction hole. That means that hollow opening at the center of the tip is the workhorse of this toy. Place that opening around any small, sensitive area, and press down lightly to create a light “seal”. Once you do that, the toy uses suction to gently “pull” at the area inside of that hollow tip.

It’s designed to replicate the feeling of a lover wrapping their lips around your clitoris and providing light suction.

(If you’re new to air suction toys, my How to Use a Clit Suction Toy guide can help!)

The lips around the hollow air pulse hole provide a firm pressure point to grind against. Through my AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Air Pulse review, I’ve experimented with different ways to hold the toy and see what sensations the “lips” can provide.

The lips don’t move, and since the toy isn’t equipped with vibrations, they don’t vibrate either. They simply sit, at rest, around the air suction hole.

If you’re someone who likes to grind to orgasm, the lips’ semi-firm silicone provides a great surface for pressing up against. If the visual of a pair of lips pressed between your legs does it for you, those lips hold the perfect firmness for grinding against. (I wish my partner’s mouth could always be this firm!)

Made from semi-firm silicone, the lips do not flex away from the hole. If you need more space around the air suction hole to get a good seal, this can be a problem.

Let’s Talk Pleasure: AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Air Pulse Review

The Kiss focuses on air suction sensations. Place the tip around a small, sensitive area, and it’ll lightly “suck” on the area, providing pleasurable sensations.

Unlike some competitors, the Kiss does provide suction. It isn’t just a vibrator in disguise. I can feel the gentle pulsing on my clit and on my hand. You’re experiencing genuine air suction sensations with the Kiss.

However, I struggle to orgasm with the Kiss. The highest intensity just isn’t strong enough. It doesn’t help that the next level, after the highest intensity, is a patterned mode. If I get focused on trying to orgasm, watching some porn, and I forget that I’m already on the highest setting, I push the button, trying to squeak out a bit more power and…it moves onto a patterned mode that has lots of pauses in it, pushing me even further from orgasm.

If you accidentally push into patterned modes and want to go back to steady modes, you’ll need to click through all 7 patterned modes OR press-and-hold the toy to turn it off and then press-and-hold the toy to turn it back on. When it pops back on, it goes back to the softest level of steady air suction sensations. Two more clicks will get you back to the strongest setting of steady suction again.

My hand holds the toy to the side, showcasing how wide the lips are in addition to the lack of protrusion of the toy's air suction hole compared to the lips themselves.

Getting a good seal with the Kiss is also a bit of an endeavor. The large silicone lips that surround the hole are wide. 2.25″ in width, to be exact. The air suction hole for the toy only protrudes away from those lips a couple of millimeters. That means I need to make space for the air suction hole and those toy’s lips in-between my labia. It’s definitely a two-handed, “spread the labia” endeavor, and I’m limited in what motions I can make with the Kiss because of the lack of space.

That being said, the toy’s silicone lips don’t hurt. They’re made from a plushy (but rigid; they won’t fold in) silicone that doesn’t have any sharp edges. I don’t feel any pain on the labia as the lips keep them spread, but it’s definitely a pressure. If you’re into that pressure, this is actually going to be a positive for you.

After all of those AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Air Pulse review trials, I was a bit curious: how does that wide face plate compare to “the” standard Rose vibrator? The lips are wider and taller in footprint than a standard Rose. That being said, they’re similar to a Rose. If you’ve never had an issue getting a “good” fit with the Rose, you’ll probably find the same success with the Kiss.

The Kiss’s Button Placement

I’ve spent a lot of time trialing this one for my AVIDLOVE PLAY Kiss Air Pulse review. I really wanted to figure out how to fit it into my masturbation routine.

I’ve found I naturally want to hold the vibrator near its gold-plated base with a duck-bill-like grip. This feels really comfortable, gives me a bit of extra “length” to reduce the strain of holding everything in place, and feels natural. Every time I pick up the toy, my hand naturally wants to go there.

Unfortunately, the button to control the modes on the opposite end of the vibrator, far away from where my fingers can reach. No matter how I try, I can’t get anywhere near the buttons while using a single hand. If I want to press the button, I need to pull in a second hand to push the button, or bring in that second hand to hold the toy temporarily so I can hold the Kiss differently for regular button pushing.

Every time I pick up the Kiss, it remains a two-handed toy. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to be aware of.

If you have larger hands than I do, or prefer to use your air suction toys with a heavier hand, you might not experience the same thing.

My hand covers up the top of the toy, putting it in shadows. This is make it dark enough to see that the top of the toy features an LED backlit button when you're using it.

Can I Use It With Roommates Around?

The Kiss’s noise level sits on the borderline between “okay for roommates” and “better if they’re out”.

With the door shut and moderately loud music, I can drown out the noise of the Kiss from anyone outside of the room. I wouldn’t use the Kiss in a room with someone else, and you need moderately loud music (not “background music” volume). If you get that music going, though, it’s hard to hear outside that closed door.

Making it easier to plan for, I didn’t notice the Kiss‘s noise changing in volume as you use the different intensities. It stays at about the exact same noise level whether you’re using the softest intensity or the strongest pattern. If you use it in different areas or on different body parts, though, you might find some variance.

The Kiss is ever-so-slightly louder if it’s not pressed into skin. It’s a minor difference. For the most discreet experience, don’t turn the toy on until it’s already pressed into your skin.

In case of an emergency discovery, though, a quick press-and-hold on the single button will turn off the toy within a second. It’s a very intuitive set-up for anyone with sex toy experience, letting you fall back on the first thing you’ll think of if someone walks in.

The magnetic charging cord is shown magnetized to the charging port area of the toy. The other end of the charging cable is a USB.

Summary

If you like the visuals of the Kiss, it’s worth considering. The Kiss provides genuine suction with a lips-forward visual that I’ve never seen in another sex toy. The straightforward control button makes it easy for anyone to get into the groove in seconds – though it’s a two-handed job to press that button.

Focused on air suction, though, the lips are ornamentational only. The toy doesn’t have any other movements or vibrations that transfer through those wide lips. If you’re someone who loves the feel of a mouth spreading apart your labia, you’ll probably fall in love with the Kiss. If you struggle to find enough room for air suction toys with wide faceplates, though, the Kiss is one of the widest I’ve seen.

If you think this toy is for you, the AVIDLOVE PLAY discount code “MISTRESS25” will save you 25% off of your total purchase.
