Have you ever thought about plastic wrap bondage? When you think of bondage, your brain probably goes straight to cuffs or beautiful, elaborate rope work. Surprisingly enough, though, saran wrap bondage is a common bondage tool in the world of kinksters.
It makes sense if you think about it. You can get cling wrap anywhere, can store it without raising suspicion, spend virtually no money on it, cut through it as you please, see through it, and toss it when you’re done.
How to Do Plastic Wrap Bondage
Ready to try these saran wrap bondage for yourself? Well, not quite so fast! There are some things you should know before you go wrapping yourself in plastic wrap bondage with that last roll meant for tomorrow’s dinner.
To avoid retyping everything I’ve already written out previously (because I’m that helpful!), I really recommend starting with these articles:

When you’re done, come back here to jump straight into plastic wrap bondage positions.
“Prayer”: Plastic Wrap Bondage Position

One of the easiest ways to explore with plastic wrap is with the arms. They’re really easy to manipulate, the receiver can see what’s going on for reassurance, and it still ends in really nice, secure bondage.
Simply instruct the bound person to place their two forearms alongside each other while clasping their hands together. For most people, a standard grocery store plastic wrap box will be about the perfect size to cover the entire forearm, but if it’s a bit long, leave most of the excess towards the hands to avoid uncomfortable elbow pinching.
People with larger chests may find it difficult to get their arms into this position. If that’s the case, you can still get a lot of the same restraint feeling by placing the arms horizontally (think the “I Dream of Jeannie” position. Yes, that just dated me.)
No matter how you achieve it, though, you end up binding the arms together for impromptu “wrist cuffs” as a great introduction to plastic wrap bondage.
“Pet Play”: Plastic Wrap Bondage Position

If you or your partner are into pet play, this position is pretty easy to achieve, and it leaves the bound person crawling around like a pet.
Simply have the bound person fold their arm and leg then wrap the saran wrap around the limb. Most people can not get their heels to touch their butt in this position, but the plastic wrap bondage can help support the lower leg at the angle that feels most comfortable for the bound person.
Even if you aren’t into pet play, though, this hobbled position prohibits comfortable, easy movement for the bound person. The “ass up” position also has a lot of sexual qualities to it, and this position can easily transition to intercourse – if you’ve both negotiated that and are into it.
Do be careful with the joints on this one, though. The human body wasn’t really meant to place full body weight on top of the elbows and knees for long periods of time. Doing this on a soft surface (like on top of a bed, carpet, or pillows) or wearing kneepads or elbow pads can help.
Transition out of the face down position when needed. Just have the person gently flop onto their side. From there, they can roll onto their back. For most people, the weight of their limbs will then just, naturally, spread the limbs out to the side, exposing between their thighs like this:

See? If anything, moving to the laying-down version has even more uses if you both had genital play in mind.
“Legs Together”
After your excursion with the arms, you can try the same plastic wrap bondage idea with the legs.
Simply have the bound partner place their legs next to one another, and then saran wrap all along the length of their legs.
As you can imagine, wrapping a roll of cling wrap around the legs requires having access around the legs. Your bound partner can raise their legs for you (but this will be serious ab work!). Allowing the bound partner to rest their heels on a wall, chair, or your shoulder can allow for quicker wrapping.
If you’re going for self-bondage, a legs-only position like this one can be one of the most accessible. It leaves your hands free to bind yourself (and pleasure yourself, if desired!) while still enjoying the feel of restraint. Plus, if you’re someone who enjoys adult sex chat online, your hands are still free to use a computer or phone too!
If you plan on being in this position for a long time, consider adding a folded washcloth or towel between the ankles and the knees as you wrap. These bony structures can get really irritated when rubbing against each other – especially in the hot, sweaty confines of plastic wrap bondage.

Especially if you follow these plastic wrap bondage positions in order, this will likely be one of your first experiences with needing multiple rolls of plastic wrap. If that’s the case, when you swap rolls, make sure to overlap a few wraps of the new roll with a bit of the previous roll. This helps maintain the stuck-to-itself properties you’re going for with plastic wrap bondage.
Keep in mind that this position will make it difficult for the person to spread their legs. This can make it harder to access the clitoris, vagina, or bum. If those spots are on the wishlist menu, this can be a great way to explore adding knife play or tearing to your scene – or to get practice with your safety shears.
“Hands Behind the Back”: Plastic Wrap Bondage Position

In love with the “traditional” shibari look of the Takate Kote? You can replicate a lot of it with plastic wrap bondage!
In this position, the bound person simply crosses their arms behind their back. From there, the wrapper then wraps cling wrap around the person’s entire upper body.
To make this position more sustainable for long play sessions, I recommend leaving the arms out of the majority of the wraps (as pictured). With less restriction, this lets the person wiggle their arms around and swap around which arm is on top. This can help keep the arms from going to sleep.
(To get a similar “flavor” of position without the same necessary flexibility, the bound person can also leave their arms resting at their sides. This may make sitting difficult, but it will allow for standing and laying comfortably.)
The “Hands Behind the Back” position is fantastic for when you plan to keep the bound partner upright with a lot of focus on the chest. If the person is standing, the genitals can also be easily accessed.
If you choose to do this position while standing, ensure the bound person has a simple way to keep their balance. With their arms tied like this, any fall will likely have them landing on their floating ribs or their face. Neither of those are good options. Doing this position up against a wall or alongside a saran wrap suspension can be a good way to maintain safety here.
The “Hands Behind the Back” position can NOT transition into any position where the person lays on their back. This will place serious stress on the shoulders and will feel really crappy. Shred the plastic wrap bondage before laying the bound person on their back if that’s where your BDSM scene takes you.
“Spread on a Chair”
If you have access to an armless chair, you can start using it as a piece of bondage furniture for this position. The bound person simply sits on a chair, and then snug cling wrap is used to keep their legs “spread” while sitting on the chair.
(Since this position is so crotch-focused, I’d highly recommend a chair with a backrest that allows the bound partner to lean their upper body backwards some. This can give you more space to worth with between the thighs.)
This is one of the cling wrap positions I’d recommend a double wrap for. Essentially, if you only wrap from the thigh to the chair, the thigh wraps will try to wiggle their way up the thighs, putting unexpected, uneven pressure at the tops of the thighs as the cling wrap bunches up.
You can help alleviate this by doing wraps on just the thighs ahead of time. These “just the thighs” wraps will not bind anything; you’re literally just wrapping the thighs in a little plastic wrap blankie.
This provides a sticky surface for the thighs (to help keep your next layer in position) in addition to adding a light layer of “armor” to prevent any wiggled plastic wrap from digging into the skin. This is especially helpful with all of the wiggling that this position can encourage.
For real, though, if you have a Good Girl Chair or Queening Chair, this can be pretty much a gold mine of a plastic wrap bondage position. You can easily sit your captive, bound in their chair, in front of any porn (like domination live porn), and they’ll simply be “forced” to watch. ;)
Plan ahead if you want penetration on the menu. Accessing the butt or vagina can be difficult in this position (they are, y’know, sitting on them), so get creative with butt plugs or vaginal vibrators before the bondage goes on. Clitoris and penile access are usually very on the table, though!
“Face Hidden, Ass Out”

Utilize that same, armless chair as an upper body support for this vulnerable, ass-heavy position.
Have the bound partner kneel in front of the chair (preferably with something soft under their knees like carpet, folded blankets, towels, or pillows), and saran wrap their torso. I recommend keeping the bound person’s arms neutrally hanging next to the body, but you can also leave the arms out of the wrap or wrap the arms behind the back. You can also bind the arms in front of the body (pictured), but this limits how long the person can stay in the position as the arms fall asleep.
Once the torso is nicely wrapped up, the bound person then simply lays their upper body onto the chair. A deep chair, with lots of space for the upper body, can be really helpful here. If your chair isn’t playing nice with their upper body, you can use a couch too – but you won’t be able to add additional saran wrap.
Think of your already-done chest wrap as your first layer. If your chair allows it (a folding chair was pretty hostile to it for us), you can then add more layers of cling wrap to bind the person to the seat of the chair itself. This will keep them from getting up or moving around while their ass remains nicely positioned for whatever you both have in mind. It’s sorta like all of that “stuck” porn – only you’ve manufactured the “stuck” for yourselves!
This position can be great for starting dressed and then pulling down undies/pants for play. It has a really hot, surrendered, taboo feel to it. Highly recommend. Just make sure to protect those knees!
“Leg to Arm”: Plastic Wrap Bondage Position
Now we’re starting to get innovative here!
If you want, you can use the same “wrap around two limbs” design that you’ve practiced before to simply wrap the forearm to the calf or thigh as pictured above. To do this, the bound partner will either sit (or lay on their back) with their arms pressed against their legs. Then the binding partner simply wraps the cling wrap snugly around the limbs. Boom! Bondage!
Most people will find it most fun to do both sides, but there’s nothing wrong with simply doing one side, either. This can reduce the stretch and strain on the bottom while still offering a strong feeling of restraint.
In the photo above, you can easily imagine a Top doing things to this bound person’s body while just one side is restrained. The “off-balance” vibe can also be fun to mess with.
Especially when laying on the back, this position leads to a very spread, vulnerable placement that can make it easy to play between the legs and with the chest. (I’m also imagining a sadist standing next to the bound person, gripping the extended leg firmly and tickling the bottoms of the feet too. It’s just all about how you want to play it!)
(Sorta) Full-Body Mummification with Plastic Wrap Bondage

You can make a mummification position work with plastic wrap bondage as well. This, personally, is my favorite way to do “mummification” because it’s so much safer, offers more access where you want it, and so much easier to do solo.
A “traditional” mummification will have the bound person restrained from ankle to shoulder, unable to move or feel air on any part of their body. For those with safe equipment to do so, the face may also be included within the bondage. For kinksters who love levels of complete sensory deprivation, there’s really no better option than a complete full body mummification.
And if you’re patient, you can do a full mummification (without the face!) with cling wrap bondage. To do it safely, it requires a team of people who help steady the bound person while they’re standing – because if the bound person lays or sits for safety, the bondage will be impossible to get onto those areas.
That’s why I like this nice middle ground. I use two long wraps on either side of the hips, but I leave the middle hinging area outside of the cling wrap bondage.
This means I can lay my partner down on their back while I do all of their legs (like we talked about above). When the legs are done, I help them sit up, and I can do all of their upper body while they safely sit on their butt, legs already done. Once both sides are done, I help them lay down again, and they’re pretty well mummified – but without the safety risk of falling!
As you can see by the pictures, this also has the lovely benefit of leaving the hips entirely out of the bondage. This means you have pretty good access to most of the bits between the thighs. If you plan ahead, you could even put a strap-on harness on the bound person (or enjoy their bio dick) and “ride” them while they’re nicely bound up and unable to escape.

I also recommend that washcloth trick (mentioned above) for the legs on this one. It can really helpful with unwanted pain. Simply tuck a folded washcloth or towel between the knee and ankle joints before wrapping as bone-on-bone action doesn’t feel particularly pleasant.
A Vibrator Between the Legs

Now, if you’re someone who likes to be nice to your bound partner, your “mummy” could be nicely snuggled up with a wand massager as shown. When wrapping the legs, simply slide a wand massager in between the thighs, pressed up firmly against the body.
Your cling wrap abilities really have to be “on point” with this one, though. You need the wraps snug enough to keep the vibrator where you want it without being so tight that it’s uncomfortable to your bound partner. You may find that doing a single wrap (position below this) with just the wand massager before starting this double-leg version may help keep the wand massager exactly where you want it.
Some people will wrap the wand in a pseudo “harness” onto their partner, using the hips as an anchor point to really pull the wand snugly against the body. (Imagine a strap-on harness – only it’s strapping a vibrator onto the body instead!) This requires a lot of twisting of the saran wrap – and can be pretty difficult for people new to saran wrap – so I really wouldn’t recommend it.
Keep in mind: it’s hot inside plastic wrap bondage. That’s also the case for an electronic toy. There’s no breathing room or fresh air. This can cause your vibe (especially Magic Wands, as pictured, which are known for heating up during use) to get pretty hot. Make sure to check in regularly with your partner, and only power on the vibrator when you’re actively trying to use it. Most vibes will shut off before approaching dangerous temperatures, but don’t rely solely on that safety mechanism. Check in often about the vibrator’s literal heat on your partner’s skin to avoid accidental burns.
You’ll also want to plan ahead in your bondage plans. Once that wand massager is in there, you’re going to have a hard time changing the vibration intensities. The buttons will be all snuggled up inside plastic wrap. Set it to an intensity your partner can tolerate for long periods of time or use a remote-controlled vibrator or app-controlled vibrator to be able to swap up the settings easily.
If you’re using the power of a wand massager (as shown), less can be more with this scene. Some people can get numb from long periods of constant vibrations – and that’s probably not what you’re going for! Patterns can be helpful here as it keeps the skin from constantly receiving stimulation.
I’d recommend sticking with wand massagers because you really need the size to help secure them in cling wrap. However, you could go with insertable/penetrating toys instead to eliminate the need to worry about saran wrapping a toy to the body in the first place.
“Vibe to Thigh”: Plastic Wrap Bondage Position

Instead of securing your wand massager between the thighs, you can also secure it to one thigh, as shown. This works best with vibrators with large heads as the toy needs to extend far enough away from the thigh meat to actually hit the spots you’re aiming for.
To do this, simply have the bound partner hold their thigh upright while you press a wand massager against it. Turn on the massager, and communicate about where the right “spot” is as you try different spots on the thigh. Once you find that magic spot, cling wrap the wand massager to the thigh, being careful to get a good, snug fit around both (otherwise the wand will slip around).
As mentioned above, you’ll also want to ensure the wand massager is on a setting that your partner can tolerate. It may be difficult to press the buttons once the wand massager is in place.
This position requires the bound partner to leave their thigh in the spot where it was originally placed in order to enjoy the pleasurable vibrations. This makes it a perfect fit for any type of predicament play.
You could wrap a resistance band around their leg, anchored to an external point to the side. In order to get that wand to stay in the right place, they’d have to actively work their muscles against the resistance band.
In another option, you could put something painful or spiky underneath their heel. In order to get the wand massager in the right spot, they need to press their heel into the ground, but as soon as they pull their heel up to avoid the pain, the wand massager will be in the wrong spot.
There are a lot of fun ways to incorporate predicament bondage with this one, and the options only expand as you pile different bondage methods on top of this basic vibrator saran wrap bondage wrap.
Bonus: Get Even Kinkier with your Plastic Wrap Bondage Positions

As a final bonus, I want to remind you that one of the cool things about saran wrap is that you can add items in-between layers of saran wrap.
I’ve seen people do this for decorative purposes (like adorable flowers that will eventually adorn the entire bondage for a beautiful photo when they’re done). You can also do it for practical purposes, though.
In the photo above, we’ve made a little “baby carrier” for a partner’s stuffed animal – which could be a great tie-in if your bound partner enjoys littlespace or ABDL.
In that same vein, you could also use this for a punishment. Did they lose their sweatshirt again!? Saran wrap that sweatshirt onto their chest for the afternoon, forcing them to deal with its annoyance and a reminder of their inability to keep track of their possessions.
You can also use this functionality for service functions. A cooler full of drinks could be saran wrapped onto the person’s body. If you fasten a shelf to them, they can become a coaster or table for the evening. A hanging basket could be wrapped around their body with help of cling wrap, and they’ll be forced to be the walking trash can for the evening.
Honestly, the possibilities are endless. You simply need to make sure that you have a way to fasten the item onto their body with saran wrap.
If I wanted to turn my partner into the trashcan from above, I’d use a set of hanging baskets I have in my closet. They’re designed to snap into those wired closet organizers, so they have squared hooks at the top of the basket. I’d saran wrap my partner, ensuring multiple wraps ran perfectly underneath these hooks. I’d finish with a few wraps overtop of the hooks to secure it even more. The basket would then be hanging off my partner. It wouldn’t support a ton of weight, but it could definitely handle most empty cups of party garbage!
Get Creative with Plastic Wrap Bondage!
Remember: the coolest thing about plastic wrap bondage is just how freakin’ versatile it is. Don’t be afraid to experiment with new things and new positions. Saran wrap can achieve a lot of positions that a standard pair of cuffs may not be able to!
Just make sure to keep communication open with the bound partner and ensure everybody is comfortable, safe, and having a great time. As long as you’re doing that, you’re doing plastic wrap bondage right!
