Lovense Domi 2 Review

lovense_domi_2_review

Today, you get a Lovense Domi 2 review over a toy I purchased myself – on a whim. I’ve been ultimately-supremely jealous of my malesub’s ability to play with all of the remote-controlled and music-controlled toys. There’s the ClubVibe 3.OH and the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Lux lately – both which have been reliable enough and powerful enough for easy orgasms. While my journey into remote-controlled toys has been insanely lackluster at best. Owning a vagina apparently means the majority of the market is filled with shit that isn’t going to work. My We-Vibe Moxie has led to enough “break-down crying in frustration” sex sessions that it’s been “banned” from sex. And when most of my vibrators “work” as expected, they aren’t strong enough to get me off – or positioned into the right spot. So, yes, it’s definitely a sore spot.

Enter the Lovense Domi 2. After pulling out the Lovense Hush, Gush, and Max to play with that aforementioned penis-owning sub, I wondered if Lovense’s Domi 2 was a good fit for me. And you know what? I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the Lovense Domi 2 and its features. It’s the first app-controlled toy for a vagina that feels like the app adds a TON of functionality to the vibrator itself, and the Domi 2 is amazing enough that I use it often without the app. It gets charged after every use (because I want it ready for the next use) – that’s how much I love this wand massager.

Honest-to-god, out of all of the online “app-controlled” toys we own, Lovense is, BY FAR, the most fluid. We’ve done We-Connect, Vibease, Satisfyer, and five other branded sex toy apps. (We just haven’t tried OhMiBod since our OhMiBod sex toys aren’t cell-phone compatible!)

I open the app, open the “toy” selection, and choose which toys it’s commanding today. (It can only command two at once, and we have more than two, so I just slide the “on/off” commands for each toy). It connects within seconds. Honestly, in the hundreds of times we’ve used Lovense toys, I’ve never fussed with the connection. It’s never been an issue. It does the thing, and it does it well.

Once the vibrator is connected, you can pretty much go to town in any way you want. ALL of their toys allow for the same control options. Each toy might “interpret” the options a bit differently (for example, their Lovense Max remote control penis stroker has a squeezing function in addition to vibrations where a squeezing function is absent on their vibrators) – but all of the app functionality options are available for every toy type.

Lovense Domi 2 Review: The Serious POWER

Now let’s touch on the vibrator itself because the Domi 2 is BADASS. While it’s a mini wand vibrator, it’s jampacked with power. Like, holywow, it’s jam-packed with power. It’s easily up there with the most powerful wand massagers I’ve used. I don’t think it’s quite putting out the same power as the Hitachi Magic Wand, but it’s pretty damn close. Like 85% of the way there – and that might be just my perception of it. After all, the Domi 2 has a MUCH smaller head than the Hitachi Magic Wand (a head that easily fits between the vaginal lips, if you’re curious!), so comparing the exact vibrations is definitely up to perception.

After literally sitting down with friends and making them try four different wand massagers after I’d written this draft, the Domi 2 was voted the strongest by every person there. It beat out the Hitachi Rechargeable, the Le Wand Rechargeable (full-size), and the Le Wand Petite. The general consensus was that it probably uses a comparably powerful motor to the Hitachi Rechargeable – but because the Hitachi is so much larger (with a larger head) the vibrations on the Hitachi feel more diffused (and lighter) while the Domi 2 vibrations are SO focused.

The Domi 2’s slim size is so fantastic for me too – especially with its wireless design. Not only does it slide between bodies pretty well during intercourse, but it also has a slim enough head to slide between the vaginal lips for direct clitoral contact. It’s an easy hand-hold without being unwieldy. It’s lightweight, and it’s strong. Like…it’s just amazing for me.

Between the fact that it nestles between the lips and its power, this easily is a “I can orgasm from start to finish in less than a minute if I want to” type of toy. I don’t often use it that way, but it’s definitely a viable option. The Domi 2’s vibrations don’t decrease in intensity if I press or grind against it, and really, I rarely take it off the second-highest vibration power. It’s just a powerful little toy with deep and rumbly vibrations.

Noise-wise, the power does require a bit of noise. The Domi 2 has a bit of a “whiny” noise to it – much more-so than, really, any other vibrators. It’s not loud enough to annoy me or bother me at all (I’m looking at you, Lovense Max), but it does exist. The noise level is loud enough to be easily audible in the same room, and it’d likely be audible outside of a closed door. It’s not the type of toy you want to pick out for discretion. Unlike most Lovense toys, the Lovense Domi 2 isn’t going to be traveling in public with you anytime soon – even though its awesome capabilities (covered in this Lovense Domi 2 review) probably wish you could. (I know I wish I could!)

My *only* complaint about the Domi 2 is that the handle transfers a ton of the vibrations. You don’t get the brunt of the power of the vibe, but you definitely get at least 40% of the power. I have yet to have to stop using the vibrator because of entire-hand-numbness, but I’ve definitely noticed slight numbness in my hand which was slightly distracting to my use of the Domi 2. My preferred method to deal with this just includes avoiding using the Domi 2 for long, drawn-out masturbation sessions. Since the power of the wand is, well, so damn powerful, this works well. The power is easily enough for orgasm long before I start to get too aggravated about my hands.

As a note, the Lovense Domi 2 does have lights that surround the head of the massager. These lights are supposed to provide more of an “interactive” feeling when using the Lovense Domi 2 with a partner. These lights turn on when the wand massager is turned on, so it allows a third party to see when the toy is on. The lights aren’t light enough to really “brighten” up a dark room or anything else, and they’ve never felt annoying or distracting. They’re just some dim lights that show up when you turn on the toy.

Lovense Domi 2 Review: The App Features

And finally, let’s add more info about the app to this Lovense Domi 2 review: the Lovense App I LOVE. Out of all of the wireless control apps for vibrators I’ve used, the Lovense one blows the rest out of the park. I’ve never been frustrated by the app, and the app retains the same controls and features for every toy in the entire line. You won’t find a feature that’s only applicable to one of the toys (looking at you We-Vibe), and you won’t have the toy constantly disconnecting (and that’s for you Vibease). The app is insanely easy to use, offers a ton of different ways to interact with the vibrator, and has the type of control and fun that you’d like.

You might know that We-Vibe toys have some music capability to vibrate along to music? BUT only some toys. Their We-Vibe “Chorus” is currently a “coming soon” about it, and while the Moxie used to allow it, We-Vibe customer service says the only toy that allows it is the We-Vibe Sync. This seems odd at best because it shouldn’t be a hardware issue. All of their toys can vibrate to cell phone input. It should be a software issue – and since it’s built into the software for one of their toys, it should honestly “transfer” to other toys with minimal issues. Maybe this is their idea of a marketing point? Either way, after I saw the Moxie has music vibration, I assumed their other toys did too (because why strip the app of something that’s already built-in?”) But no, most We-Vibe toys do not vibrate to music.

Managing all of your Lovense devices through the App is really easy – as you can see here. You can only have two connected at a time, but you just flip the toggle, and it’ll switch ones are connected. It always automatically connects to the nearest toy as long as the toy is on. Honestly, it’s so flawless that I’ve never been frustrated or even had to mess with this screen.

The primary way most people will control their Lovense Domi 2 vibrator is through real-time control. This screen allows you to choose the vibrations the Domi 2 is currently putting out. You can adjust in constant real-time by pressing a spot on the screen, use a slider to determine how strong the vibrator is, or tap onto the screen to change the vibration strength. Depending on the way you choose to control it, you also get this nifty (but mostly useless) graph that shows the vibration strength the Domi 2 has been putting out.

The LovenseApp comes equipped with pre-built patterns. Honestly, there are a metric fuckton of different patterns for you to choose from as its community-submitted. So there’s a ton. You can also create and save a pattern of your own choosing for future use.

As seen above, you can see that the Lovense App allows you listen to music while messing with your vibrations as well. If you’re someone who has an audiobook downloaded or loves the background music with your masturbation, the App allows you to control the music directly from the app – no need to fuss around with multiple apps while focused on pleasure. It works pretty much flawlessly, and I have no complaints about it. I use it to regularly stream music from my phone to a Bluetooth speaker system for pleasure while using the Lovense Domi 2.

Above, you see the chat system as well. The LovenseApp has a built-in chat system. This system allows you to invite another person to control your Lovense toys in addition to chatting. It has text-based chat, but it also allows for sending of pictures, videos, other media, and even patterns you’ve created.

And when I don’t want to use the app? It’s as simple as just turning on the vibrator and pressing the button again, and ta-da! All the steady vibrations are right at my fingertips! The buttons on the Lovense Domi 2 press down really easily with a satisfying “click”, and it’s pretty much effortless to turn it on and use it.

Overall, I’m freakin’ in love with the Lovense Domi 2. It’s up there as my top-two wand massagers – mostly because of its remote-controlled options (like music vibration!) but also because the vibrations are insanely rumbly and powerful in this vibrator’s tiny little body. I didn’t expect to love it so much, but I think I finally have a remote-controlled toy that offers enough stimulation to orgasm without getting frustrated. Now Lovense just needs to make a panty/hands-free clitoral vibrator, and I’ll be a very happy woman. Thanks for reading my Lovense Domi 2 review.
