The Sexy Rendez Vous game is a sexy romance game for two. It includes a gameboard, 10 Rendez Vous scenario cards, 2 game pieces, a dice, and the instructions. The idea of the game is that you move around the board while enjoying sexy and romantic ideas that will bring the two of you closer together.
The box that it comes in is pretty small, but it is sturdy. It is one of those boxes where you can lift the lid off to expose all of the pieces inside of the box. The box is made of cardboard, but it is thick and sturdy, and it should hold up if you place other items on top of it. It’s about the size of a small book, so it also can be hidden easily. The box is very tasteful and discreet, so you don’t have to go to large lengths to hide it.
The game is intended, as you could probably guess, for two players. Because of the small board and the limited amount of cards, you may want to keep it at two players as well. You can certainly play it with more players, but you may find yourself reusing actions or redoing things on the board. If you’re okay with that, then you’ll be fine. As the game only comes with two game player pieces, though, you’ll need more pieces. You may also need to modify rules as you’re playing depending on what works best for you.
The rules are pretty simple. You take turns rolling the dice, and then the number on the dice is how many spaces you move. Each one of the spaces includes a little picture on it. The instructions will tell you what each one of the pictures means that you’re supposed to do. If it includes the “Sexy Rendez Vous” words on it, you’re supposed to pick out one of the ten cards and perform the action on the card. The “winner” is the first one to make it to the end of the board, but there doesn’t seem to be a reward listed in the instructions for the winner.
The game itself is pretty basic. The board is very small (it’s shorter in height than the vibrator I have out on my desk right now!), so it definitely makes it easy to hide. There are only ten of the Sexy Rendez Vous cards which leads to repetition if you want to replay the game, and the rules and the game are very, very simple. Because of the small size and affordable price, it would actually make a pretty good travel game because you’d probably only play it once while traveling anyway. Because some of the cards do require external items (sensual sex or in control domination), you might have to improvise on what you use for props though.
Something that is unique to this game is that it is relatively easy for non-English speakers to play. Each one of the cards’s instructions is given in multiple languages on the instructions, and most of the board game spots are pictures which makes it really easy to play without needing to be able to read the text. As I haven’t seen many non-English erotic games out there, this may be a reason for you want to pick it up.
With 25 spaces on the board and a six-number dice, it doesn’t take too long to get through the game. It only took us about twenty minutes to make it through the game. It really doesn’t take long at all, but again, it depends on what you roll on your dice and how long you choose to act out some of the actions.
I don’t want to give them all away, but some of the actions include things like: Marathon sex, Taking off clothing or lingerie, Kissing your lover in a new way, impersonating a stripper, blindfolding your lover, making a toast to celebrate your love, and others. I must say that the choices aren’t very original. They are probably things that you could come up with on your own or things that you may have thought about doing before. I would have loved to see more original choices in the game.
During play, you’ll probably end up repeating a lot of the same actions – especially if you play this game multiple times or want to play it more than once. It’s not a bad game for the first time, but the replayability on this game isn’t very high. We found that, on our third playthrough, we were finding ourselves a bit bored by the choices. Plus, how many “new places you’ve never kissed before” can you find?
Overall, I’m not too fond of the game. There just isn’t enough pieces or cards to really have this game be replayable and interesting. It is, however, a very affordable option if you want an adult board game to play. If you want something that will have a lot of replayability or will really get you doing things you don’t normally do, though, I’d recommend that you check out a different adult game.
