Welcome to my Mercy Industries review – where I’ll be sharing my experience with the gorgeous Leather Bow Collar with Engraved Pendant.
See, there are a lot of ways you can explore bondage out there, and I gotta admit: one of my favorites has to be the “custom”-made way. Not only does this collar function for actual bondage, but it simultaneously functions as a decorative piece of “jewelry” to showcase our dynamic – and match some of our favorite outfits.
Featuring a custom, engraved tag on the front, the Blush Pink and Rose Gold Leather collar is a statement piece in your bondage gear – and makes the outfit you’re wearing. Crafted with three layers of luxurious, soft nappa leather in contrasting black and pink colors and matching rose gold hardware, everything about the collar makes for a serious eye-catching look.
Not falling short on the bondage possibilities, this leather collar also includes three D-rings. Not in the standard places (to avoid interrupting the beautiful, streamlined look of the front of the collar!), the three D-rings are located on each side of the collar – and in the back of the collar, near the buckle. This ensures the engraved pendant (which can be double-sided or single sided!) and bow remain the star of the visual showcase of the collar. I’m in love with the design.
The Mercy Industries Leather Bow Collar also comes with a matching 30″ leash; not only does this make it easy to get started on your kink scenes ASAP, but it also ensures your leash will match. It’s a win-win!
The BDSM collar is 1.5″ in width – and the length is irrelevant. That’s because the Mercy Industries Leather Bow Collar is custom-made to your measurements. The collar will be the perfect size for you! If you choose not to go the custom route (your choice!), the standard collar is adjustable to fit 12″ to 16.5″.
While you’re at it, this beautiful engraved pendant BDSM collar can also feature a standard buckle fastener or a lockable buckle fastener. It’s entirely up to you and what you need out of your kink gear.
So, let’s dive straight into this Mercy Industries collar review!
Our Mercy Industries Collar Specs
Since this BDSM collar is custom-made, it only seems fair that I give you the basics about the collar shown in the photos:
The words engraved are “Beta Puppy” in font 5. It has a single-side engraving.
It was made to fit a neck circumference of 15″.
And it features a standard, non-locking buckle for easy on and off purposes.

Your Custom-Made BDSM Collar Options
One of the things I love the most about Mercy Industries’ business model is how customizable your new kink collar is – and the majority of the customization is entirely free!
You can customize:
The Engraving: What do you want the collar wearer to wear as a badge of pride? “Cock slut”? “Sex kitten”? “Mine”? “Slave”? It’s up to you. Go with a shorter message to make it easier to read at a distance – or encourage getting up-close if you go with a longer message. Mercy Industries can fit 8-10 characters per line (depending on the font) and up to three lines per side of the pendant.
Engraving Sides: Do you want engraving on one side or both sides of the heart-shaped pendant? While one side primarily displays at all times, if you have a certain message you want the wearer to hold close to their heart, you can easily customize both sides of this collar pendant.
Engraving Font: Are you a font snob? Or just going for a certain “feel”? After all, Comic Sans isn’t going to portray a feeling of erotic submission. Not only can you choose the exact words, but you can choose the font as well. We went with Font 5 for a feminine touch.
The Length of the Collar: Tired of collars that are too tight – or have way too much extra slack? Customize the exact length of your collar at no cost to you. Ensure your collar is going to fit you like a second skin.
The Buckle: Do you prefer locking bondage gear for your scenes – or just find the extra locking functionality unnecessary? Whichever you prefer, you can pick and choose the buckle on your collar.
Not only do you get to make so many different customizations, but despite being hand-made, Mercy Industries doesn’t require a long lead time to craft your new kink collar. Their standard turnaround time is about 5 days – so you can custom-order a gorgeous collar, and it’ll likely be shipped out within the week. Uh, hello, that’s awesome.
Custom-Made, Matching Gear from Mercy Industries
And when you fall in love with your collar (like we did!), Mercy Industries offers other matching kink gear in the same color scheme.
This particular, luxurious, blush pink and black combination can work for all of the rest of your bondage gear too. Gear like:
Oh, and you can choose the matching rose gold hardware and go with the lockable buckles on all of those items if you want, too.
Again, custom BDSM gear just makes me swoon!
Mercy Industries Review: Let’s Talk about Durability
One of the first questions I generally have with any new toy is “how long is this going to last – and will it hold up to the play I want to throw at it?”
Happy to report, that isn’t much of a concern with the Mercy Industries collar. It’s a beautiful collar that happens to have the quality, excellence in building, and materials to make it a durable collar as well.
That is to say, this Mercy Industries collar isn’t just for show. You can throw pretty much anything at it. The leather is thick and all of the bondage points are sturdily riveted. In fact, I honestly can’t imagine any type of bondage play you’d throw at it that would hurt the collar; the human being would tap out long before the collar began to give.
I love the fact that I can come at the collar from almost all angles – and there’s a D-ring to match. I simultaneously use the left-side and right-side D-rings to “bind” my partner in place (especially when using a bondage board). The D-ring on the backside makes it great for letting my “extroverted puppy” partner lead me at kink events without getting tangled up.
Mercy Industries Blush Pink Leather Bow Collar Review: The Comfort
Made from sturdy leather, the Mercy Industries Blush Pink Leather Bow Collar is easy to put on – and just as easy to wear. You can expect the collar to slowly get even more comfortable as you continue to wear it – and the leather softens up and adjusts to your skin. I’ll admit, it’s a bit of a “solid” feel the first couple of times that you wear it, but within a few weeks of wearing, the leather had softened up dramatically.
With that in mind, even with the leather softened, this isn’t a thin collar. Built with thicker leather and designed to help hold up to rougher bondage use, the leather used for this Mercy Industries collar is thicker. Expect the collar to feel a bit weightier (though not the heaviest in our collection) and to induce sweating. This is a more-than-happy trade-off for us as we’ve fallen in love with the look and functionality of the collar, but it’s definitely something to be aware of.
We’ve also found that the bondage point residing on the back side of the collar adds comfort – in the best of ways. Instead of feeling pulled/dragged along by the collar constantly while we’re out, the back-side bondage point ensures he can lead and navigate while I still keep him on a leash – perfect for our introvert/extrovert pairing. (But more on that later)
The only detractor from comfort: the rivets on the interior of the collar are uncovered. That means that the rivets will have direct contact with your skin. Especially as the skin under the collar gets sweaty from long hours of wear, these spots near the rivets can get a bit itchy.
It’s also worth noting that the rivets also mean an extra step for cleaning. Especially if you’re using this collar for long-term scenes (or a play party or kink event), you’re going to get some sweat build-up on the collar. To keep your gorgeous leather collar looking gorgeous, that means cleaning the collar pretty regularly; preferably after each use but at least after every couple of uses. Since the rivets provide extra spaces for bacteria and grime to hide, a leather detail brush (or toothbrush) will be necessary.
Mercy Industries Blush Pink Leather Bow Collar Review: Engraving
I don’t know how you could have missed it, but just in case you did: one of the visual center points of this gorgeous pink and black collar is the heart-shaped charm, with engraving, on the front of the collar.
This charm dangles from the tiny ring on the front (not to be confused with an O-ring; this tiny ring is only for visually displaying the pendant).
The engraving is really beautiful, and it shows up as a nice black text against the metallic gold pendant. You can choose from multiple fonts to get the “feel” you’re going for. I went with the #5 font because I was going for a more romantic/sensual feel with the black and pink color combo.
The text displays best in well-lit areas. The black-on-gold text can disappear into the pendant a bit (and then it looks like just a cute, heart-shaped pendant; certainly not the worst thing in the world!) in the dark, but with the reflective surface of the heart, any rays of light make the text instantly “appear” when the light hits it.
A Bondage Point…on the Back?
Unlike most BDSM collars, the leash’s connecting point is actually on the backside of this collar. The pendant area on the front of the collar is not suitable for connecting the leash; it isn’t designed to be weight-bearing. Instead, there are multiple other D-rings (two on the sides, one on the back) designed to attach the included collar.
I absolutely love this feature. It seems counterintuitive, but this instantly just became our go-to collar for kink events because of this design. This femdom is definitely an introvert. My submissive partner is the extrovert – and the better navigator. So at kink events, he was generally on a leash, leading me around, while the leash pulled along the sides of his neck. Not with the Mercy Industries’ kink collar.
Instead, he can lead me around a kink space without causing any additional strain or pressure on his neck. He can slow down if he feels pressure on his neck, and I don’t have to constantly turn around to ensure he’s comfortable while we’re walking. I can still control his leash – but simultaneously, he can still be the one serving me by ensuring I know where the heck I’m going. Plus, with him in front, he becomes the defacto talker for any humans we meet; that’s a service worth its weight in gold for an introvert.
As another point, even if you’re not being led around by your pet sub who has better navigational skills than you do, this ensures you can leash your partner – while not interrupting the beautiful visual on the front of the collar. Instead of seeing a leash hanging from the front of the collar, the sole focal point on the collar is the beautiful custom tag and engraving – and the bow. This keeps things looking gorgeous – especially if your sub is dressed to the nines and wants to show off their outfit.
The bondage point in the back of the collar also keeps the leash away from the front side of the body. Depending on how often someone is using their hands – or tends to get tangled up in a leash, this can give them a lot of room to move around.
Do be aware that heavy pressure on the leash (like your sub pulling away) in this configuration will put stress on the front of the neck. This is not the type of collar and leash set-up you’ll want to use for a struggle scene. Consider a different Mercy Industries collar – or in a pinch, use one of the side D-rings for a scene like that.
Mercy Industries Review: A Quick Visual Overview
Prefer to see things in real-time video? Let me give you a quick tour around this beautiful pink leather collar:
Mercy Industries Review: Let’s Talk about That Leash
As soon as you receive your Mercy Industries collar, you can jump straight into playing with it because your gorgeous, handmade collar also comes with a leash.
This leash is 30″ in length – which makes it good for close-distance leashing. You’ll probably want a longer leash if you’re “walking your pet” throughout a kink event, but if you’re playing around the home – or tugging on the leash during intercourse, this is pretty close to the perfect size.
Most important, however, the leash entirely matches the customized BDSM collar. It features the exact same leather. It features the exact same rose gold hardware. It just, simply, looks gorgeous when laying next to the collar itself.
The leash has one of those lobster clips that open up from both sides; you won’t be dealing with some tiny, dinky clip that can only fit 0.25″ into its grasp. Instead, this broad clip should be able to clip onto of the D-rings and O-rings you have around. Honest. While the Mercy Industries collar uses a standard, slender D-ring, the fact that the leash has such a wide-mouth clip ensures you can swap the leash over to any bondage item you own. I am 1000% in love with the choice of clip for the leash.
My only note about this Mercy Industries leash: it features a very wide and open “handle”. This gigantic opening easily slips off of my wrist. While I have a few leashes that feature small, tight openings that are harder to get my hand into, those leashes tend to stay in place if I loop them around my wrist to leave my hands free. The Mercy Industries leash will be a leash that you need to grip your hand onto. Otherwise, the large opening of the leash will simply slide off of your wrist with any tension.
Hand-Made from Australia
So, if you’re USA-side, let me be honest: you need to plan ahead for shopping from Mercy Industries. This isn’t really a bad thing; it just means that handmade, artisan gifts that come from Australia require a bit of forethought. Especially with the speed of shipping from Australia, you can expect things to take at least a month to make it to you.
The beautiful collar Mercy Industries shipped out on January 9th – and I had it in my hands on February 18th. That’s over a month to arrive.
However, throughout the entire process, the Australian Post kept me up-to-date. I received a tracking number with regular updates, and their postal system automatically sent out emails for big milestones like when the package had arrived in the US – and when it was released from customs. The longest leg of the journey was the package waiting its turn to receive a boat to go from Australia to United States – which took a good two or three weeks. (The backlog between the two countries is pretty big right now.)
I was really impressed by what the kink collar shipped in, however. It arrived in a sturdy, easy-open plain cardboard box. Inside the box, the collar was surrounded (with love!) by tissue paper and a sticker that clasped it all together. That’s to say: everything about the packaging is already perfect for gift-giving. You could receive this Pink Leather Bow Collar with Engraved Pendant, wrap up the perfectly-rectangular box in your favorite gift-wrap, and bam: you’re good to go with a gift!
(As an additional awesome point, the box itself was wrapped inside of a compostable stretchy plastic “sleeve”. So the actual packaging was pretty minimal and the box itself is recyclable. So A+ for reducing excess packaging.)
Final Thoughts on the Mercy Industries Collar
Mercy Industries Leather Bow Collar Review
Summary
The Pink Leather Bow Collar with Engraved Pendant offers a few unique benefits that are difficult to find anywhere else: pendant customization and the leash’s bondage point in the back of the collar. These two points work together for an erotic visual that’s extremely potent; not only is the bow and engraved pendant the star of the show, but the included leash doesn’t clip anywhere near the pendant which keeps all eyes on the beautiful pendant.
Not only that, but this black and pink bondage collar is sturdily made – and includes two extra bondage points to expand its versatile use in your scenes. The rose gold hardware makes it stand out in a sea of collars – alongside the beautifully engraved tag.
Do most collars tend to fit you oddly? That’s another reason to go with Mercy Industries. Mercy Industries is all about customization. Choose a different style, the perfect size, different colors, different text, and even adjust the buckles (locking or standard). Get cuffs, harnesses, collars, gags, and more: it’s all about providing everything you could possibly need to enjoy your erotic scenes – and making all of that kink gear as personalized as your play is.
So, needless to say, we really like the Mercy Industries collar for its quality, visuals, and customization. The Mercy Industries Bow Collar with Pendant stands out as a beautiful collar, and it’s one of the first ones we choose when we’re looking to make a feminine statement with any outfit.
