Tired of holding your sex toys? Wish there was a way to enjoy them without involving your hands? If so, you might have looked at a Liberator sex toy mount. They offer an entire line of options, but one of the most popular is the BonBon. So now you’re probably left wondering: How to Use a Liberator BonBon sex toy mount – and is it a good fit for what you need?

What is the Liberator Bon Bon?

The Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount is a half-circle-shaped piece of sex furniture crafted by Liberator.

It is made up of three distinct parts:

  • high-density foam
  • water-resistant cover to protect the high-density foam
  • external, outermost, washable cover to feel fantastic on your skin during use

Like all of Liberator’s offerings, the entirety of the inside of the Bon Bon is high-density, supportive foam.

Covering that supportive foam, there’s a water-resistant, nylon-y feeling cover. Since you’re using this sex position aid for sex, this cover is there to protect the innermost high-density foam from moisture damage. There’s no reason to remove this cover or have much interaction with it because…

The Liberator BonBon with the outer cover partially unzipped. This showcases the blue outer cover loose around the shape with the firm, secure moisture-proof interior snug against the material. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

Outside the nylon-y feeling cover, there’s a skin-friendly, super-soft “Velvish” (their material name) cover. This cover feels a bit like a mix of microfiber and suede material, and it feels gentle against the skin. This cover will be removed regularly by the zipper that zips up all along the bottom of the Bon Bon.

That’s how the Liberator Bon Bon is machine-washable. You simply unzip this outermost cover after every use, and you toss it into the washing machine like a favorite blanket you had sex on. When it’s dry, it simply zips back on top of that water-resistant layer to make the Bon Bon feel sexy again.

This basic two-cover premise is how almost all of the Liberator shapes and sex furniture are crafted.

The biggest difference between standard Liberator items and the sex toy mounts is a large chasm built into the high-density foam. In the case of the Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount, this feels like a deep hole that goes downwards into the middle of the Bon Bon.

The entire outer cover for the Liberator BonBon is completely removed and laying in a pile next to the BonBon. The BonBon sits on the bed in just its moisture-proof liner that's snug to the shape and showcases the gigantic hole built into the top of the shape. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

The nylon-y feeling cover follows this hole with built-in excess material that gets pushed down into this hole to continue protecting the high-density foam inside the hole.

The outermost, Velvish cover does not go into the hole. Instead, it’s a slit opening that allows you to access the hole like sticking a body part through an opening in two curtains.

How Does the Liberator Bon Bon Sex Toy Mount Work?

The entire Bon Bon sex toy mount shape is made of high-density foam. That means, when Liberator cut a small hole in the center, the foam around it compresses into that chasm.

It’s easiest to think of it like a gooey, creamy pot of food. When you take a scoop out to eat, the food around it will settle in to take up some of the missing room.

That is the magical property by which the sex toy mount will work.

A hand is stuck in the Liberator BonBon with all four fingers. The person's hand disappears all the way down to their knuckles, showcasing how deep the internal pocket is. Only their thumb can be seen since the rest are inside the BonBon. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

Any sex toy you slide into the top of the Bon Bon sex toy mount will be “held” in place by the snug material surrounding it. Between the high-density foam encroaching on the empty chasm and the simple friction of material differences, the Bon Bon sex toy mount can hold sex toys in place within its chasm.

This is what allows the Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount to “hold” toys that don’t even have a flared base. You’re essentially sliding them into an extra snug blanket burrito inside the depths of a sex toy mount – and then the tip of that sex toy protrudes out the top of the Bon Bon for your enjoyment.

A vibrator without a flared base shown partially tucked into the hole in the middle of the BonBon. This showcases where it would go to fit inside the BonBon without a base. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

This “secure” blanket burrito is way more powerful than you’d initially imagine. If I slide my four fingers into the Bon Bon’s hole and simply let it hang off my fingers, you can easily hold it up in the air without making any other motions to support it. It’s a very snug fit. You don’t even have to curl your fingers inside the Bon Bon to hold it in the air.

I wouldn’t say it’s as tight as if you’ve fisted someone, but it’s definitely as snug as a 4-finger penetration on someone who’s on the edge of being able to take your fist.

A person's four fingers are stuck inside the Liberator BonBon. The "grip" on their fingers is so tight that they're able to lift the BonBon entirely away from the bed, and it hovers a foot off the bed with just the grip that the BonBon has on their fingers as the only thing holding it off the bed. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

If your toy has a flared base, the sex toy mount’s fit is even more secure. Instead of tucking that wide flare into the depths of the BonBon, you simply tuck the edges of that dildo into the opening of that Velvish layer’s slit. As a tight opening in the material, the flare of the base will stay underneath that layer, and you’ll have a dildo anchored inside the BonBon.

A realistic dildo is shown in the Liberator BonBon. My fingers spread the outer cover's material, showcasing how the round base is held against the shape by help of the slit in the BonBon's cover. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

It’s easier to understand in action, though, so I recommend reading the steps below to get a full idea of what’s going on.

What Toys Does the Liberator Bon Bon Fit?

In order to fit into the Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount, your potential toy needs to:

  • be within 1.25″ – 3″ in diameter on the end that will slide into the Bon Bon
  • be designed to be used when pointed upright, towards the ceiling
  • if it has a flared base, it needs to be a somewhat slender (not thick in height) flared base
  • if it doesn’t have a flared base, it needs to be long enough to still be usable if you use 3″ of length
  • (optional) be able to hold itself upright when grasped only at the base (your toy will still fit, but it may not give the best “up and down” riding experience)

The Liberator Bon Bon is specifically designed to be used with firm vibrators (without flared bases, like a LELO Gigi) and dildos with and without flared bases.

It could, potentially, be used with butt plugs, but most people don’t enjoy “riding” their plugs.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to access the controls of any sex toy that you slide into the Bon Bon. They will be “hidden” within the Bon Bon. This may be a reason to lean towards a remote-controlled option if available.

What Toys Will Not Fit in the Liberator Bon Bon?

Any floppier toys, like anal beads, wouldn’t be able to hold their form well enough to protrude out the top of the Bon Bon sex toy mount. Extra-long toys, like full-sized wand massagers, will not have enough space to be fully inserted, though some shorter wand massagers may fit.

Toys with very large bases (like the BFG) or testicles at the base in lieu of a flared/suction cup base (like the Vac-U-Lock 8″ Ultraskyn Dildo) will not fit into the Bon Bon.

(If your dildo has super slender testicles – in height – it may fit, but it’ll be a tight squeeze. It may compress the material on your dildo or the high-density foam of the Bon Bon over time.)

Extra-slim toys without a flared base (under 1.25″ in diameter) will not be slim enough to come in contact with enough of the high-density foam in order to stay securely inside the mount. For example, my Bent Graduate will never, in a million years, stay firmly within the Bon Bon.

Extra-thick toys (beyond 3″ in diameter) will not be able to fit within the chasm or the slit cut within the Velvish material layer.

Most fantasy dildos (especially of the larger varieties) will not comfortably fit into the BonBon due to shaft diameter or extra-thick bases.

Will I Lose Sex Toy Length When Using the Liberator Bon Bon?

If you’re using a flared base dildo in the Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount, you will not “lose” much of its length. While the fabric of the outermost layer is very sturdy, it isn’t very thick. You can expect to lose less than 0.5″ of “length” off your dildo if anchoring it within the slit of the outermost layer.

However, if you’re using a vibrator/dildo without a flared base, more of the toy’s length needs to tuck inside the Bon Bon to have a secure fit. This will vary depending on how long your toy is, but you can expect to lose 2.5 to 3″ from the toy’s length to get it securely into the sex toy mount.

On the right, the vibrator has been inserted into the Bon Bon, showing that it lost about half of its full insertable length by being inserted into the BonBon.

How Does the Liberator Bon Bon Stay in Place?

You! You power it!

By sitting on top of the Bon Bon, your body weight anchors the mount in place.

A person straddles the Liberator BonBon. Their inner thighs rest and touch on the BonBon, and the BonBon places anything that was inserted into the BonBon ta the perfect height for humping. For my Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount article.

The Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount is ridiculously lightweight. Yeah, foam isn’t heavy. It weighs 3.3 pounds. You can toss this thing around as easily as a throw pillow.

While riding a sex toy on top of the Bon Bon, your knees (clamping around the shape) and the weight of your body (resting on top of it) help anchor it in place.

Unlike the Liberator Tula (which I’d recommend instead if you have tight hips that make it difficult to straddle), the Bon Bon is decently thick in width. Most people will find that their thighs and possibly the knees will rest against its surface naturally, anchoring the Bon Bon in place during use.

How to Use Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount?

How you’ll use the Liberator Bon Bon sex toy mount will vary based on whether your sex toy has a flared base or if it doesn’t have a flared base. Both options can work, but they secure into the Bon Bon differently depending on their base’s design.

How to Use the Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount with Flared Bases

  1. Slide one end of the sex toy’s flared base underneath the opening in the BonBon’s cover.
  2. Push the toy firmly against the fabric you’ve already slid it under in order to get more space on the not-secured side.
  3. Use your fingers to push the flared base underneath the other flap of cover, either pushing the sex toy’s base underneath the fabric or pulling the fabric overtop of the base.
  4. Settle the dildo in the center of the BonBon cover’s opening. Give it a firm upright tug to ensure it’s in place.
  5. You’re ready to play!

How to Use the Liberator BonBon Sex Toy Mount without a Flared Base

  1. Ensure your sex toy is lube-free and easy to grip. This will go easier if you wait to lube your toy until it’s already in the sex furniture.
  2. Find the opening in the BonBon, and slide a few fingers in to ensure the internal, moisture-resistant cover is slid into the hole itself, giving your toy space to fit.
  3. Line up the bottom of your toy with the opening of the hole.
  4. Use a bit of pressure to slide the toy into the Liberator BonBon sex toy mount. If the toy slides smoothly, keeping pushing until you meet a lot of resistance. This will let you know the toy is fully into the internal chamber of the BonBon.
  5. It should take a bit of pressure, but if it’s “opening a stuck jar” hard, remove the toy, and slide your full hand into the hole. Sometimes the moisture-resistant liner can bunch up at the opening, making it really difficult to slide the toy in. Once you’ve “cleared the way” with your fist, restart at 3, and it should slide in a lot easier.

(Do NOT use lube to help the toy slide in. Not only will this be a nightmare to clean, but it’ll reduce the grip of the BonBon, making it more likely that the toy will slide out during use. That defeats the point of the Bonbon!)
