It isn’t often that you can find sex kits designed for a specific sexual activity – with zero “spice it up with this kinky toy” elements. In fact, the number of kits that qualify under that description I can probably count on both hands – and this Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review has given me another kit to add to that count.

Most couple’s sex kits out there focus on kink. Most notably, those kits are designed to be beginner-friendly options for exploring the world of kink when you’re looking for kink advice on what to try.

On the other side, a lot of sex kits are just amalgamations of various products – usually for a value price. They don’t necessarily fit together in a cohesive “theme”, and if they have a theme, it’s something like “for him” or “for her”. Fun Factory’s kits change that, though – including this Blow & Glow sex kit.

Everything about the Blow & Glow Fun Factory set kit is designed for pleasuring a penis – specifically via oral sex. Everything about the kit is designed to increase education – or pleasure – while providing a blowjob to someone else with a penis. (Though you could definitely adjust the kit to work for someone with a clitoris, it’s definitely designed with the penis in mind)

This blow job sex kit includes:

  • Fun Factory Manta penis vibrator
  • Fun Factory NOS cock ring
  • GLOW Massage Candle
  • The cutest sex toy scrunchie known to man
  • 3 penis pleasure educational videos, 2 vulva pleasure educational videos, and 1 sex position video (via online access) taught by Ashley Manta (XBIZ’s 2020 Sexpert of the Year)

So, let’s dive into each part of the kit:

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review: Fun Factory Manta

One of the big sex toys within the kit, let’s look at the Manta – through the blowjob-enhancing lens that the kit focuses on.

I think one of my favorite things about the Fun Factory Manta is simply how easily it wraps around a penis. Unlike the NOS, which requires a bit more finagling and time to slide on and off, the Fun Factory Manta can flop onto the shaft of the penis with ease – especially once a few smears of lube are involved. This makes it ridiculously versatile during a blowjob.

I can use it at the base while my mouth is pleasuring the rest of the shaft, or if my mouth needs a break, it’s just a slide down the shaft to get the Fun Factory Manta positioned along the frenulum while I let my jaw recover. If I decide I don’t want the Manta on the penis at all, it’s as simple as popping it off of the shaft; the super-flexible wrap-around wings make that really simple to do.

Essentially, it turns the Fun Factory Manta into a pretty fantastic blowjob addition. I can start the blowjob without it – and just pull out the Manta if it’s proving hard to get him to orgasm. I can use the Manta, all on its own, stroking up and down the shaft like a sex-toy-assisted handjob. I can use the Manta at the base while using my mouth on the rest, or I can simply use the Manta along the frenulum and it does all of the “heavy lifting” for me. (What can I say? Sometimes I’m lazy.)

(And best yet, the Manta works fantastically for getting him to orgasm while he’s solo too! He’s used it for solo masturbation, and he can just leave it in place along the tip while it vibrates him to the precipice – virtually no effort required.)

The super-flexible wing design of the Manta does allow it to work for a huge variety of penis sizes. It fits almost all penis sizes as long as you’re over 1″ in length. Even then, it could work just fine if you’re shorter; you’ll just have excess toy available for use.

Width is also extremely flexible. The wings and the entire material supporting the “wings” is pretty movable. This means it could wrap around a wide variety of shafts pretty well. (It honestly wraps around my water bottle with serious ease). If you have a particularly thin penis, you might find that you get the majority of your sensations from the base of the Manta pressing into the shaft (versus the wings), but you could easily use a second hand to provide enough pressure to wrap the wings around the penis the rest of the way if need be.

(You could also use a hair tie wrapped around the Manta’s wings to get the tightness you want, but a tie would reduce some of the movability of the Manta.)

It also works with a flaccid penis. You’ll likely need your fingers to help “hold” the penis in place along the Manta if it’s flaccid, but it will vibrate the shaft all the same. (It still feels pretty fantastic while flaccid, he says.)

Want to read more about the Fun Factory Manta? These reviews have you covered:

  • Miss Ruby says: “I’m someone that always likes to edge my partner during oral sex, controlling exactly if and when he’s allowed to orgasm. It’s been a challenge to keep things in rein because the process speeds up so much when we incorporate the Manta. So this has proved pretty amazing, and no complaints from him…”
  • Laurieann from Backwoods Bedroom says: “So, at last, it seems we’ve found what we’ve been looking for. My partner, someone who has never shown an affinity toward vibrations, absolutely loves the Manta. It has made him and I both believers.”
  • SquirrelMonk says: “The Fun Factory Manta could use a slightly more powerful motor and a vastly improved button design. But it’s still, by far, the best penis vibrator I’ve ever tried.”

Fairy lights in the background are romantically blurred out. The protective film is still on the single Fun Factory NOS button. (I hate removing protective film, okay?)

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review: Fun Factory NOS

The other half of the sex toy component of the Blow & Glow Fun Factory Kit is the Fun Factory NOS.

When it comes to blowjobs, the NOS is a-okay. Its design was crafted to pleasure both partners during penis-in-vagina intercourse (more on that later), but it can definitely be worn around the base of the penis in order to add vibrations to the shaft – and to help the penis stay hard during oral sex. We definitely noticed a difference in hardness when he was wearing it, and that was a pleasant surprise; it’s definitely fun to experience the penis at various forms of hardness. (That’s a whole post to itself.)

Vibrations-wise, during a blowjob, though, it wasn’t our favorite. The Manta is much-more-versatile during oral sex, and it was nice to be able to move around the center of the vibrations with the Manta. The NOS feels much more stationary. It gets tight where you put it (which is the point of a cock ring), and it doesn’t just slide around to where I want it. Essentially, we had to keep it on the base of the penis – or dedicate time to removing it – during oral sex. It isn’t nearly as flexible as the Manta penis vibrator is.

For that reason, I wonder if the Fun Factory NOS was included to add the “glow” half of the experience – where you might have intercourse afterwards? Or as a finger-grippable vibrator that can be used on a penis but can also be used with your hands? I’ll admit I’m not entirely sure on this one. But let’s talk about what the NOS was specifically designed for then:

The NOS was designed for coupled, penis-in-vagina intercourse. Its marketing materials specifically talk about how all aspects of the NOS were designed to help couples “cum together” by delaying the ejaculation response on the penis (through its targeted design) and increasing clitoral pleasure through the surround-sound pleasure system on the clit – all at the same time.

To that end, it works. It helps delay his orgasm a bit more than usual – though he finds the fit to be a bit too snug for his personal preferences. The vibrator felt nice – but not particularly orgasmic – during intercourse, and I found that I enjoyed the sensations of the physical arms “grinding” up against my clit more than actually having the vibrations on. I did enjoy one vibration mode, though.

That vibration mode is “Flirt Mode”. This vibration mode, essentially, is just a giant randomizer in a 5-minute setting. This giant, 5-minute randomizer keeps the vibrations on the cock ring continually changing. This helps prevent some of that “getting used to vibrations” that can happen with vibrations – especially vibrations on the more powerful end of things.

I love “Flirt Mode” for when we’re trying to add pleasure to incourse. However, we quickly flip it off of Flirt Mode if we’re going for edging – or controlling the final orgasm. The constantly flipping patterns do as it advertises: flirts – which can be the antithesis of trying to continually build more and more stimulation to get to orgasm.

Everything aside, my biggest complaint about the NOS is the button on the cock ring. It’s (surprisingly) difficult to press. It reminds me of a lot of the frustration I had around the Jejoue G-Ki – where I loved the toy itself but was so grumpy when trying to operate the toy. I’ve found that using the mid-point of your finger – and holding the cock ring to provide leverage – helps make the single button on the shaft a bit easier to press.

On the bright side, it means you’re never going to accidentally switch the vibration intensities. (By “never”, I mean never. It’s difficult to press with a thumb and with its low profile to the vibrator, you’d have to be doing some intense stuff in order to swap the vibrations unintentionally).

Multiple people have reviewed the Fun Factory NOS at this point – despite it being a relative newcomer (new this year!) to the sex toy scene. Some great Fun Factory NOS reviews include:

  • Adam from Obsession Rouge says: “Would I recommend the NOS cock ring? Yes if you have an erect penis circumference of 5-5.5″ but not if you have a circumference of 6 inches or more”.
  • Joan Price says: “N?S is a great addition to anyone’s sex toy collection. Don’t expect it to magically provide the rare simultaneous orgasm. But do recognize it as an effective, versatile little sex toy.” while talking about her use of it during oral and handheld use.
  • Aliyah Moore from Sexual Alpha says: “Despite the unfortunate button placement, we found The N?S Ring to be a high-quality cock ring that greatly enhances both partner’s experience during sex. It’s best for those who crave strong vibes, men wanting to improve their stamina, or ladies who need clit-stimulation to orgasm. “

The text on the lid of the GLOW Massage candle reads: "Rosewood, chamomile, ylang ylang. All-natural. Recyclable. 4 fl oz. For external use only."

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review: Massage Candle

I have to say: a massage candle in this set was an interesting and unexpected touch. I’m not sure I generally consider a massage candle as a standard part of a blowjob kit. I appreciate the fact that Fun Factory is getting away from the “people with penises never appreciate romance” trope that’s been common in the sex industry for years – though I’m still a bit confused as to the exact role in this candle in this kit.

The videos help you give better oral sex, the scrunchie holds back hair, and the Fun Factory NOS or Manta can be used during the blowjob itself. But this candle? It’s a whole bunch of question marks for me. Is the idea to romance the penis-owner before the blowjob? I could see that (and again, a nice touch that they aren’t relying on tired tropes).

The educational videos with Ashley Manta never touched on or mentioned the candle from what I saw, so it’s mostly a guessing game for me.

Outside of whether this candle even “belongs” in this kit, the candle itself is pretty good quality. It works, perfectly, as a massage candle. The wax melts down pretty quickly, and since the candle tin has these nice, rounded edges in its square design, each one of the four corners works pretty well as a pour spout for getting the wax onto your partner. Zero complaints here. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do without being difficult to use.

The scent is pretty strong too – which is going to be a huge plus if you like pine-y and citrus scents. I tend to stick with “cozy” scents like vanilla or rose, so this isn’t my scent profile, but the scent is extremely potent when sitting out doing nothing and especially potent when burning.

And when you’re done with it, the container is recyclable. Booya!

(FYI, in case you’ve never used a massage candle before, I have how to use a massage candle instructions right here on Kinky World – but there’s also a sticker on the bottom of the candle that explains how to use it. The sex ed videos do not mention the candle at all.)

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Kit review. Image shows the included sexy scrunchie. The scrunchie is wrapped around the shaft of the Fun Factory Manta vibrator to give it some realistic fluff. The picture easily shows multiple labia and pomegranate views as well as the text "Here for It" in multiple spots.

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review: Scrunchie

I’m kinda in love with this scrunchie. This is probably for a few reasons – most of them being that “sex positive scrunchie” is a first in my fashion closet. I especially love that the Fun Factory scrunchie is pretty sex-filled, but for the brief moment anyone in public will see it, it just looks like a multi-color scrunchie. Essentially, it’s very public-appropriate despite the fact that it’s covered in genitals.

Speaking of the design, it IS covered in genitals. Its illustrated design shows off a banana, a basic-design penis (shaft and balls), a basic-design vulva (clit, urethra, vaginal entrance, labia), a pomegranate, and the text “HERE FOR IT” in all caps.

That all being said, the material of the scrunchie isn’t what I generally expect from a scrunchie. It doesn’t have the same high-quality, nice-on-the-fingers feel as scrunchies you can get from your local big box store, and it doesn’t have nearly the same amount of ruffles either. There are also loose threads on my brand-new scrunchie.

Essentially, I love it, but it definitely looks like it was a low-cost addition to the kit for Fun Factory – which is sad because I want this to last for years.

The vulva videos are titled "Tips for Vulva Massage", "How to Please the Vulva", and "Positions for Pleasure".

Fun Factory Blow and Glow Review: Sexpert Video Education

The Blow and Glow Kit “comes with” six sex education videos – which can only be accessed with an internet connection. The videos come with a URL (if you’d rather access them on a PC) as well as a QR code for viewing them on-the-go. All of these videos are hosted on Fun Factory within an embedded video playing platform.

Despite the name of the kit (“Blow and Glow”), three of these videos are focused on pleasuring the penis while three of these videos are focused on pleasuring someone with a vulva. Like the selection of the toys, the focus of the videos is clearly designed for committed, heterosexual couples.

That being said, that verbiage within the videos is not particularly gendered. Ashley Manta uses verbiage like “person with the balls” or “factory installed penis” instead of anything gendered. Sex position examples mention dildo-use as well as factory-installed penises – though it’s worth noting that all “sex positions” do focus on intercourse from the hips in some fashion (no thigh strap-on harnesses, for example). Hitting the g-spot AND prostate is mentioned during each discussion during sex position examples.

The production quality of these videos is freakin’ A+. This is “full production team” level of quality. There are multiple camera angles, perfectly-lit sets, multiple different sets, gelled lights, and more. The camera angle switches regularly to keep you visually engaged, and there are lots of close-ups when demonstrations are being shown and wide shots when Ashley is explaining. The production quality on this stuff is serious gold – and way above and beyond a lot of sex education options out there too. (Including the stuff that I regularly do, honestly. I just don’t have the ability to be running that much equipment at once!)

The demonstrations of techniques is really what takes this set of videos from “okay” to “amazing”. I’ve seen a lot of sex ed videos that talk about various pleasure ideas – but never goes into the bread and butter of things. That isn’t the case here.

For example, when Ashley Manta is discussing handjob techniques, she straight up has a 3D printed, gold penis that she strokes to demonstrate each one of the techniques. When we move on to blowjobs, she uses her mouth on a banana to demonstrate the techniques. (I wonder if using her mouth on the penis was deemed too sexual?) For vulva techniques, all of the finger techniques were shown on a 3D printed vulva while the vulva oral sex techniques are shown with an orange.

When Ashley Manta is exploring various positions and contexts, the video cuts out to a sensually-lit room where it shows the (non-pornographic) position between the sex educator, Ashley Manta, and adult performer, Lotus Lain (who is occasionally wearing a strap-on harness as well).

I LOVE the tips that Ashley Manta provides – but I also think these videos did miss some of the mark when partnered with this kit. A kit called “Blow & Glow” feels noticeably focused on the penis, and when partnered with a penis vibrator and a cock ring as the main points, it, again, feels pretty penis-focused. I appreciate the vulva education (most definitely!), but I’m surprised we didn’t go deeper into the penis for a kit designed for the penis.

I also was surprised by the lack of specific instructions for the toys in the kit. I actually love-love-loved this set of videos if we were only talking about the videos themselves, but as someone who just received a kit full of toys with the videos, it felt a bit lacking. Some of the content focuses on the fact that you “can” use the Manta or NOS during various techniques, but very-little demonstration is done with the toys. In many times, Ashley Manta just mentions the toys as they sit on a table next to her – and the toy isn’t demonstrated during the technique at all.

All of the 6 videos have amazing sex education within them, but I wonder if a 7th video, focusing entirely on “putting it all together”, might have really brought this video series together with the kit you receive with it. This final video would show a start-to-finish scene – or at least run you through all of the techniques you’ve learned and show you how to “add sensation” through the toys you now have in your hands.

I imagine Fun Factory wanted to avoid the sex ed videos getting too long – or feeling too “salesy”, but I think adding in more practical steps to use the Manta and NOS wouldn’t have been a detractor. I think it really would have nailed the “sex ed” angle. The sex ed videos don’t mention the scrunchie or massage candle at all, either, so some how-to on that would have been fantastic.

That being said, I’m really, really impressed by the set of the videos – and I’m being a bit nit-picky.

The production quality is seriously, seriously high. (It’s modern, and it honestly looks even better than some of the full-length sex ed DVDs I’ve seen.) After watching the videos, you really come away with some practical, try-it-today suggestions – especially for handjobs on vulvas or penises. Ashley Manta makes all of their sex advice feel very relatable with the right mix of sensuality and straight advice.

While I think the videos did miss the mark a bit on really collaborating with the toys within the kit, I feel the six included videos are just as valuable as the toys themselves. Honest to god, this is some good sex education.

Final Thoughts

Altogether, this blowjob kit becomes an easy, one-purchase way to explore giving blowjobs. Not only does Fun Factory provide some serious education to ensure you’re getting the most from the toys, but it also includes so many tips, tricks, and games to make exploring the toys feel more approachable – even if these are your first sex toys. The additional massage candle and hair scrunchie are just a bonus treat.

The presentation makes this kit an A+ win too! It isn’t just a set of items that come to you in the same shipment box from the manufacturer – each in their individual packaging. Instead, all of the items are specifically packaged in a whole new kit – in all new packaging with all new product inserts and information.

Attention was paid to, quite literally, every surface of the kit – both in information and in reduced waste.

It’s hard to really explain exactly how amazing this blowjob kit ends up looking, but it’s the little things. When you open the Fun Factory NOS’s box, you’re met with a snugly-packed secondary box for the kit’s bonuses. When you open that box, the box’s lip says “Come together” and the massage candle and the scrunchie are sitting in a box of gold foil. When you remove box internal boxes from the Fun Factory Blow and Glow kit’s cardboard sleeve, you see that the entire inside of the outer packaging has text – which is where Fun Factory housed their Yes/No/Maybe list and another sex game to try.

The vast majority of this kit’s packaging is recyclable as well. Aside from the adorable foil streamers that welcome you to the massage candle, everything else is kept in cardboard boxes that can be easily broken down. Instruction manuals are made of paper (I really recommend keeping those though). The toys do not come in excess plastic wrap; they’re just snug in cardboard trays made just for them.

As someone who has been attempting to cut down on environmental waste lately, it’s just a gigantic breath of amazingly fresh air. They managed to make a kit that feels special and curated for you – but also work great for the Earth too.

Summary

The Fun Factory Blow and Glow kit is stuffed full of some serious value – particularly for a couple that has both a vulva and a penis within their relationship. While the toys definitely focus on penis pleasure (hence the name of the kit!), the sex education includes quite a bit of fantastic vulva pleasuring advice too to ensure everyone benefits a bit from this kit.

My favorite toy in the kit is, by far, the Fun Factory Manta. It’s extremely powerful and the unique design means it easily transitions to different stages of a blowjob to be the perfect helping hand (haha) during oral sex. It can do all of the work on its own (especially when placed on the frenulum), but it works anywhere on the shaft. Due to its flexible design, it can easily be removed (and readded) to the penis as you want too!

The sex education is also a serious shining star within the kit. While I wish the sex ed videos provided more direct instructions about how to use the toys within the kit, the production values of the videos and the information are a serious A+. The sex education is solid, and even for this sex nerd who spends all day in the world of sex, I actually picked up a new penis pleasuring technique.

I really wish the Fun Factory Scrunchie had a bit more quality behind it, though. I love the design, and I wish it would last longer!

The packaging of the kit is A+ – and I love how Earth-friendly it all is while still being packed full of games, info, and a fantastic opening experience.

Solid kit all-around. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to up your penis pleasuring abilities.
