BSAtelier Max Poly Polyamory Silicone Dildo Review

UPDATE JANUARY 2024: The “Max Poly Polyamory” dildo from BSAtelier is no longer in production. This sex toy review remains as a reference for anyone interested in this dildo. While you’re here, why not read my beginner pegging positions, enema play 101, kinky driving service, and how to be a good submissive?

Perfect for showing your “polyamory pride”, the Max Poly BS Polyamory silicone dildo is a beautiful, curved dildo sold by SheVibe. With a total length of 8.5″, an insertable length of 7.5″, and a width from 1.57″ to 1.75″ (tip to base), this dildo is a pretty, handcrafted toy produced by dildo artisans in Madrid, Spain. (Dildo artisans is such a great phrase).

The dildo is made from medical-grade silicone, and it comes with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. The coloration of this particular dildo are the colors of the “Polyamory flag” – and BS Silicone makes other pride dildo colorations as well. The base is a standard flat base with no particular features.

The Max Poly BS Polyamory flag dildo comes in a see-through plastic bag. This bag is pretty minimal, but it’ll protect your dildo until it makes it to you. It’s entirely see-through, and it includes the BS logo on the front. It’s also a resealable bag, but somewhere in the process, someone stapled the bag shut, so it’s a whole lot harder to open the bag than the simple resealable closure. If you manage to save the bag, it can be pretty nicely used for long-term storage of the toy, though. The bag also includes a small piece of paper that includes instructions for safe use of the toy. Very eco-friendly packaging as well.

The Max Poly BS Polyamory flag dildo is nicely crafted and ready to play with. The toy is made from flexible – but not plushy – silicone. It won’t really bend in half, but it will curve a bit when pressure is applied to it. It doesn’t have much plushiness either. With that, it’ll feel exactly like the size it is. The dildo is entirely smooth – except for near the head. The head has a very pronounced “lip” to it that’s very noticeable during penetration – and in a good way. Especially if you have a shallower g-spot or p-spot, this pronounced head is going to feel particularly pleasurable.

The base of the dildo isn’t equipped with anything in particular. It doesn’t include a suction cup base. It doesn’t include a hole for a bullet vibrator or Vac-U-Lock harness use. It’s just a standard, flat, black base. The base is nice for holding the dildo upright, though. It honestly is one of the most stable dildo bases I’ve seen in awhile. It’s got a nice 0.5″ thickness to it and a bit of heft to it that makes it a great way to hold your dildo upright when you set it somewhere. Gentle bumps to the nightstand or the desk don’t tip it over like most toys. The base, while “basic”, does a good job, and it slips into strap-on harnesses very nicely too.

For those that don’t know, the colors on this dildo are the colors of the Polyamory “flag”. In addition to just being adorable, it makes it a simple way to proclaim your identity or “flag” your identity in public. My dildo, the Polyamory dildo, is made of a black, red, and blue coloring. The coloring is pretty distinct – except on one of the sides where the blue coloring bled into the red stripe underneath it. I’m honestly a bit surprised by this color bleed – and the fact that it was allowed outside of their manufacturing area like that. It definitely doesn’t affect the use of the dildo in the slightest, but it does affect the visual distinction of the colors on that side. I did not attempt to contact the company for a replacement or refund, so I’m unsure what their policy is on replacements for something like that.

The Poly dildo is just one of the few “flagging” and “pride” dildos that BSAtelier makes. Available in their standard Alex, GSpot, Max, and Bingo dildo designs, you can choose from rainbow pride, the queer flag, the trans flag, the bi flag, and the leather flag. Not all flags are available in all dildo types, but it’s a pretty good range of toys and flag offering combinations. As you can tell from the title, the toy featured in this review is the Poly flag in the Max dildo design.

The dildo shape itself is designed for g-spot stimulation of a shallower g-spot. It has a gentle curve towards the tip – and a nice, pronounced “head” that isn’t too commonly found outside of realistic-looking dildos. With the smooth silicone, the toy tends to slide in pretty easily and without much resistance – though you might consider using some extra added lubrication to make the experience even nicer.

The BSAtelier Max Poly dildo also walks a fun line between “too thin” and “too thick”. It’s definitely a bit thicker than many of the “slim” toys, but it’s not near the point of being “thick” either. This means, if you regularly play with biological penises or “average”-sized dildos, you’ll be able to feel as you penetrate with the Max Poly dildo – but it probably won’t feel stretching until maaaaaybe the 1.75″ at the base. But depending on your body, that may not feel particularly stretching either. So it likely won’t be a struggle to insert, but it also doesn’t feel particularly or overwhelming “filling”.

But that’s okay. The gentle curve towards the tip was definitely designed for g-spot sensation, and depending on the location of your g-spot, it can do just that. The dildo is made of a more-flexible type of silicone, so it doesn’t really stay “rigid” under pressure. This is not a particularly large dildo, so without the rigidity of stiffer silicone, it doesn’t tend to hit the g-spot if you have a deeper g-spot. If you have a shallower g-spot, however, you’re definitely in for a good time. Between the curvature of the dildo and the pronounced head that leaves for a pleasant sensation with every thrust, it does a pretty good job of hitting shallower g-spots. From experience, it also can do a great job with shallower p-spots as well!

As a pure silicone dildo with no electronic parts, the BSAtelier Max Poly dildo is really simple to take care of. Warm water and anti-bacterial baths will take care of the regular cleaning routine. For sterilization, you can always go into a water/bleach solution or some boiling water. Make sure to give a bit of special attention underneath the head of the dildo, but aside from that, the rest of the dildo is texture-free and very easy to keep clean. Water-based lubricant will be your lube of choice with this guy, and if you’re feeling it, it can be kept in the bag for long-term storage.

Overall, the BSAtelier Max Poly Dildo from BS Pleasure Toys, sold by SheVibe, is a fantastic way to show pride in your identification when playing with sex toys. It can be a great conversation starter, and it can be one of those dildos that’s so easy to get attached to because of the sentimental meaning behind it. At the same time, its curved tip and pronounced head do a great job of providing shallow g-spot stimulation – and the average girth should make it accessible to most people who enjoy penetration. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this flagging dildo for my Max Poly Silicone Dildo by BS review.
