Hide Your Vibe Pillow Review

The tag of the pillow. The *second* best place for your vibe. Wonder where the first is?

The Hide Your Vibe pillow is basically just your average-sized half-pillow (I think some people call them Throw pillows). It comes in multiple colors, but this sex toy store sells it in both cheetah print and black. The pillow is produced by Sportsheets. The outside of the pillow (mine is black) seems to be made from a velvety-soft felt. The inside is white and seems to be a thin, satin fabric with padding separating the outer cover from the inner satin. There’s a zipper along one entire side of a pillow that will allow you to get into the center portion for storage.

The inner satin lining can basically be described as a large circle if you imagine that the “lines” of your circle are hollow and filled with padding. The inner lining is not sewn onto the pillow anywhere, so it’d be possible to take it out and fill this pillow with regular padding if you wanted to. I’d say there’s about two or three inches (unsquished) on each side of the pillow of the padding.

There isn’t any special packaging with this Hide Your Vibe pillow. The only packaging that is included is a small tag on one of the corners that can be easily removed.

Can you tell this is a zipper? I can't.

The Hide Your Vibe pillow is amazingly discreet. The outside of the pillow definitely feels like a pillow, and the inside of the pillow provides enough padding that most people will not think this is anything but a pillow. One of the lengths of a side contains a (small) black zipper as well as a very small black zipper pull. Honestly, the zipper can be a little hard to pull open and shut, but it just takes a little bit of effort. It can frustrate me a little bit if I’m trying to get a toy out but the zipper won’t pull. When the zipper is closed, it’s near-impossible to see the zipper line which makes this really discreet.

While I honestly never had intended to lay down to nap on this pillow, it’s pillow. With two or three vibrators in the pillow, my head couldn’t feel the vibes at all – it only felt the padding. It felt like a slightly-flat throw pillow, but it was extremely comfortable to nap on, and it didn’t feel uncomfortable in the slightest. All of the vibes I placed in the pillow were on one “layer”, so if you start stacking toys up on top of each other, you might start to feel the toys more while laying on it.

Showing the padding of the pillow. That's my Rock Chick hidden away.

We wanted the black pillow because I wanted to place it out in the couch in our living room. I wanted something that could function as discreet sex toy storage but could still be used as a pillow when someone wanted to nap or wanted something comfortable for their head. This works perfectly for that. While you can’t store too many sex toys in here without it starting to feel uncomfortable as a pillow, this will easily hold most average sex toy user’s collections; just not mine. This should comfortably be able to fit three or four toys without being able to feel it while laying on it. It will fit rabbit vibrators, but I’d really say that placing the Hitachi in here is a bit of a stretch. (Literally. It will stretch out the pillow unnaturally.)

Showing, again, how much space there is.

The tag also suggests other things you can store in here including vibrators, diary, lubricant, condoms, massage oil, love letters, and other things like lingerie or something if you are going on a trip and are short on space. I’d honestly recommend against storing lubricants, massage oil, or condoms in this pillow unless you keep it in a separate plastic baggie – if the item leaks, that would be a large pain in the butt to attempt to clean out of here. The satin will be easy to clean, but if it gets on the black portion of the pillow, it won’t be as easy to wash. Placing a plastic baggie in the pillow willl make the pillow crinkle when moved though. It’s a soft crinkle, but it is something you can hear if you are paying attention.

Cleaning this out isn’t too bad, but I really don’t see a reason to need to clean this as long as you are careful. A damp washcloth on the inside should work okay to clean out any specific messes, but the inside satin is white, so be careful about that. If you want to, you should be able to remove the inside white satin to throw this pillow’s case into the washing machine. The tag doesn’t include any washing instructions though.

So how do I like it? I love it! It doesn’t work amazingly for me because of my huge collection to store all of it, but if you have just a few sex toys, you can easily find all of the storage room you need in this pillow. It functions just like a regular pillow, and none of your guests will be any the wiser. Even applying pressure onto the pillow will only reveal some very shallow lumps. If you are in need of sexy storage, I suggest you check out this sex toy store and pick up the Hide Your Vibe pillow.
