The Sexy Suction Cuffs are a product from Sportsheet’s Sex In the Shower series and is sold by GoodVibes. The basic gist is that the neoprene cuffs that Sportsheets uses are attached to a large suction cup that will stick onto your shower tiles (or any tiles, for that matter) and keep your lover attached. The suction cups are not your tiny window-hanging suction cups – these things are huge! The cuffs seem to come in purple and are attached to the suction cups through a well-constructed nylon strap that threads through the suction cup. The set comes with two separate cuffs – one for each wrist.
The packaging is basic – but it is pretty large. The box is definitely larger than any of my other cuffs have come in. I’d recommend taking these out of the box when you receive them and using something else for storage. The front of the box shows a naked woman attached to a tub while a man hovers over her. The packaging isn’t exactly discreet.
Each of the cuffs is made from neoprene (like my favorite strap-on harness!) which is waterproof. Neoprene is slightly plush, so the cuffs will be comfortable on your wrists during play without allowing you to squirm out. The outside of the neoprene is wrapped with the velcro that’s going to keep the cuffs on your wrists. Underneath the layer of the velcro lies a layer of nylon that runs underneath the velcro. The nylon goes straight from the cuff into the little loop on the back of the suction cup. The nylon seems to be strong and we haven’t had any problem with it ripping or anything like that. You also can not remove the cuff from the suction cup, so these will only be used in the shower.
These cuffs should fit a variety of wrist sizes. I’d say that it should fit every sized wrist that you can think of – however, for ankles (if you want to use them that way), you might have a problem if you happen to have larger ankles. (Like plus-sized person ankles. Not just large boned.)
Aside from that, the cuffs are pretty much interchangeable between wrists and ankles. (Though, again, I question what you are doing with the ankles. I suppose you could cuff your partner’s ankles to the wall above your bath faucet and make it pour over their genitals. That actually sounds like a fun idea.)
The cuffs seem to hold quite a bit of weight as long as you get them pressed firmly against the surface. Pulling with my full strength, I couldn’t dislodge the cuffs even though I wasn’t cuffed to them. However, if you just slide your fingernail under one of the suction cups, it pops right off. But pure force doesn’t seem to pull these off of anything. I was more concerned about pulling apart the bookshelf I stuck it to.
We had a couple of different surfaces that ended up working for bondage. For one, it does work great in our bathroom shower. We have a shower that doesn’t have any tiles on it – it has the siding, so it went up wherever we tried to put them up. Same in the bathtub. It stayed on and didn’t come off when tugged which was amazing. The only way that the cuffs will come off is if some air gets under the suction cup. This means that you just have to slide a fingernail underneath your suction cup, and it will release from the surface. These also worked just fine on the bookshelf we tried them on (as long as the wood was textured and not flat.) It also works just fine on flat countertops. It doesn’t work for textured walls though.

The cuffs will easily apply while wet without any adverse problems or any lack of stickiness. If you slightly dampen them, they’ll stay on a bit better, but if there’s a lot of water, they tend to slip around a bit more. If you plan on using this in actual standing or flowing water like underneath the surface of the bathwater or in direct spray of the shower, I recommend you stick it onto the surface first before anything gets wet – and push hard. If water breaks the seal, these won’t be as effective as they could be. However, water does seem to stay out of the way pretty nicely.
The cuffs are definitely comfortable. The neoprene layer, while not amazingly thick, is still think enough to be comfortable during use. If you accompany that with the fact that you can’t do *too* much pulling in these without pulling them off the wall, it works great.
I can’t really see any reason you’d need to specifically wash these if you do use them in the shower. Unless you get blood all over, the water from the shower should be enough to wash these as long as bodily fluids don’t get on them. For storage, make sure they are dry before you put them away. I wouldn’t keep them in the original box since it’s a bit bulky, but it should store anywhere you want it to.
The Sexy Suction Cuffs are a well-made product produced through the Sex In the Shower Series to make your bathtub time more fun. However, it will work great for use around the rest of the house, and where you normally don’t have anchor points for bondage, you’re going to find that these will provide some fun. Would it be possible to get out of these? Yes – your submissive could just unvelcro themselves or slide a finger underneath the suction cup. However, it does provide the feeling of bondage in places you normally wouldn’t try it like in the shower.
