The D-Ring Choker is a collar manufactured by Inferno. The collar is made from leather, has a D-ring on the front, and clasps with buttons on the back. In terms of width, the collar is less than an inch wide (3/4 of an inch), and when it comes to length, this collar is sixteen inches in length. It doesn’t come in any sort of particular packaging.

I want a collar for my submissive that would be comfortable for long-term use, would look cute on him, and would hopefully have a d-ring – just for my amusement. This collar fit all of the above criteria, so I decided it might be a good candidate for an attempt. The last collar we tried didn’t have a d-ring, and the one before that was ridiculously itchy.
In order for the submissive to wear a collar long-term, he needs to have it be relatively thin in size. After all, two-inch thick collars, while sexy, tend to scratch up the neck after being worn for four or five hours at a time. He enjoys laying around in his collar (and sometimes with a leash attached), so it had to be smaller in size. I’m amazingly happy to report that this collar is very comfortable. While it does have rivets on the inside of the collar, those rivets are covered by smooth metal. The leather the collar is made out of is one layer of supple, pretty leather. The collar is very flexible, and it bends with your neck when you move.
This collar is amazingly cute on my kinky partner. I’m not exactly sure why. He put it on, and I went “awww” and made him go look at himself in the mirror. He agrees; it’s one of the most attractive collars on him that we have. I think it has something to do with proportions. Most other collars are really large in width and cover his entire neck. With this one, it looks more like a kinky necklace that shows ownership instead of a giant sex prop. It ends up looking ridiculously sexy.
Each one of the buttons on the back are positioned about an inch apart, so this collar should fit a variety of neck sizes. It is a bit tight on the partner, even on the loosest setting, so I imagine this collar was made with a slimmer neck. However, with the sixteen inches in total length, you should easily be able to adjust this down to fourteen inches as well. Since it fastens with the buttons on the back of the collar, you just have to snap it into the size you want to wear it. Unlike other snap collars where the leftover portion can get itchy, this one’s extra portion ends up just laying right behind the collar itself and usually doesn’t cause a problem.
The d-ring is nice and basic. The collar does have a lot of rivets along the front, but since this collar is just one piece of leather, it doesn’t really serve a purpose; they are just for decoration. The leather is relatively medium sized; it’s not thick, but it’s not thin either. On the front, there is a metal piece that attaches the d-ring to the collar. Instead of hanging suspended in the air like some rings do on collars, this one actually lays flat against the skin when not in use. Since the collar is fastened with button snaps and the leather isn’t too thick, I wouldn’t put your full body strength into it, but with a leash, you should easily be able to “control” your partner using this d-ring for a bit of bondage fun.
I’m not amazingly impressed by the quality in itself, but I’m very impressed by the quality for the price. Ten dollars for something made from actual leather? That’s rare. It’s even more rare when you consider that it’s nice, softened leather along with metal buckles all over it. Will it hold up to full-body strength? No. Will it hold up to most use? Yes, it will. Will it hold up for a long time to come? Definitely yes. It also works great as a fashion collar, but it really is a great collar for BDSM too.
I wasn’t expecting to love this collar as much as I do. But I do. I love it. It looks amazing on the submissive, and it is easily now our favorite long-term collar. It’s just perfect.
