Designed to be beautifully decorative around the neck, the Flower Choker is a 2-layer “collar” made from PVC and PU leather. The collar is 2cm wide, and it adjusts in length between 29cm and 39cm. The collar is available in multiple faux leather and metal combinations including pink/gold, black/gold, white/gold, and silver combinations. The choker collar features a single O-ring on the front of the collar as well as four decorative solid flowers and metal “spikes”. The collar has fit on three adult humans’ necks.

The Flower Choker comes packaged in a little, pink, tulle drawstring bag that’s inside of a discreet, completely-plain brown box. This is a really cute way to receive the collar, and the brown box is decently sturdy – and will work pretty well for long-term storage of your new decorative collar.

The collar is absolutely gorgeous. It’s really hard to argue that point. It looks slim and feminine on any neck you really put it on – any gender identification. The Flower Choker Collar from Little Space is available in multiple colors, but all of the colors follow a similar design. The collar has an O-ring on the front that’s held in place by two unmovable U-shaped metal points. On either side of that, there’s a cute plastic rose. On either side of those roses is a small metal spike. Then another rose. Then another spike. Then the back-side of the collar – which features three D-rings to help hold the excess collar length (from whatever your neck size is) in place. The collar features a regular, non-locking buckle that helps hold the collar in place as well.

The coloration of your collar really depends on which color you choose on the Little Space website. However, no matter which color you choose, the entire collar seems to follow the same color scheme. As-in, with this black/gold Flower Choker, all of the collar parts and roses are black while all of the hardware is gold. With the pink/gold collar, all of the collar parts and roses are pink while all of the hardware is gold. It’s honestly a beautiful coloration set-up, and I absolutely love how it looks. It *looks* adorable.

The O-ring on the front of the collar is definitely designed more for decoration than intense tugging and play. Since the O-ring is held down on two horizontal points on the front of the collar, tugging at the O-ring affects the actual collar itself. With most collars, since the O-ring or D-ring is held down by a single point of contact or two verticle points of contact, tugging at the collar tends to just pull the collar as a whole. Since the two points of the D-ring are horizontal on this collar, it doesn’t behave the same. When something pulls on the bottom of the O-ring – like a leash would – it causes the bottom of the collar to “lift up” which causes the top of the collar to “push in” – and that pushes straight into the skin. Tugging someone around on a leash basically means that the vinyl edges of this collar are constantly pushing, relatively roughly, into the soft skin of the neck. It’s not a particularly great set-up.

That being said, the O-ring seems to be very firmly attached. So while the tugging is likely to harm the bottom, it doesn’t seem like you’re going to break the collar while doing it. So a little bit of gentle tugging is probably okay if you’d like, but I’d avoid any long scenes where the O-ring has any pressure on it.

I’ve taken some photos that show some of the ‘invisible vinyl’ that lines some areas of the collar. I have to be honest: I have no idea why someone chose to add that vinyl to the edges of the collar. My guess would be that the roses and other decorative aspects needed something “firmer” to be attached to than the thin faux leather material. This vinyl isn’t the end of the world, but it’s just that – a strap of vinyl. When wearing the collar, if you look down, the collar’s vinyl edges just poke you in the neck. It’s not painful – but it’s annoying. The edges of the vinyl are smooth, so they don’t seem to pose a safety risk of any type; it’s just a really odd sensation that “punishes” you for looking down. It’s also worth noting that, for visual purposes, the vinyl on the collar does not go entirely around the collar. The vinyl – which extends above and below the collar’s visible fabric – goes until the end of the decorative portion of the collar, and it does not extend into the back buckles of the collar. Depending on how thick your neck is, this means the vinyl may end slightly behind your ears when wearing the collar. This isn’t a problem, but if you’re planning on photographing from that angle, it might be an annoyance for you.

In addition, I’ve included some photos of the interior of the collar as well. As you can see, all of the internal screws are uncovered and left to touch the skin. This isn’t the end of the world – but especially with sweating or long-term wear, it can become noticeably itchy. Most collars tend to use another layer of material along the skin-touching-side to prevent this – or use flat rivets to help reduce the sensation if there isn’t more material. It’s surprising that this collar chooses not to – but then again, when you save money, corners have to be cut somewhere, and that’s where this DDLG collar cuts in (in addition to the vinyl). I suppose I should just be pretty thankful that the little flowers aren’t glued onto the faux leather. While the collar is noticeably itchy, it does seem to hold its beautiful shape and decorations nicely, and that’s why you want to buy it, right? To look pretty?

You shouldn’t do anything that requires any in-depth cleaning of the collar. The flowers, while beautiful, are filled with tons of crevices that would be difficult to successfully clean. Try to keep any bodily fluids off of them. For sweat from wearing the collar, though, the vinyl definitely comes in handy here as the collar wipes up really nicely and very easily. Just avoid getting too much mess on the external side of the collar – because it won’t be that easy to clean up.

Overall, the Flower Choker Little Space Life choker collar isn’t a bad collar – it’s just very noticeably a decorative one. Don’t expect to get long-term wearing sessions out of this collar because – while beautiful – the itch-factor of the collar is very real, and it will drive you nuts very quickly. That being said, the collar’s decorative elements are decently durable, and they’ll continue to stick around the collar for awhile. So as long as you’re buying this beautiful collar for short-term wear with minimal play and lots of pretty photos, you’re going to be pretty damn happy with it. It’s beautiful, it photographs SO well, and it’s just plain cute. Thanks to LittleSpace Life for providing this feminine collar for my Flower Choker review.
