Nothing particularly exciting to report about the toy’s design. What you see is what you get on this one. No hidden surprises. The BestVibe silicone wand massager is covered in a silky smooth layer of silicone – just how it looks. Your fingers (honestly) will just glide over the surface of the toy. There’s a seam along the head of the massager, but it’s likely not something that you’ll notice during use. It’s not sharp or painful – just noticeable. The handle of the massager is covered in the same silky-soft material – but it has a nice texturing that makes it easier to hold. The wand massager has a movable head, and the vibrations tend to stay about the same in intensity when pressure is applied to the head.
The 8 Speeds 20 Frequency Wand Massager is a rechargeable toy. Using the included USB cord, you plug the toy in (from the base) to charge it. A charging light flashes to let you know that the toy is charging, and when the battery is good to go, the light will turn off. It’s a pretty simple – yet effective – system.
If you’re looking for simple controls, this vibrator has it. The silicone wand massager comes equipped with three simple push-button controls on the shaft of the massager. Each button responds with a pleasant “click” noise when you press it. There’s an on/off button, a button to increase the vibration intensity, and a button to change into patterns of vibrations. Each one of the patterns *CAN* be adjusted in intensity by pressing the intensity button while the vibrator is in the pattern mode you want. This might be one of the first vibrators I’ve ever met that *starts* on the highest steady vibrations settings. If you press through the control button enough, the vibrator will start to increase vibrations instead of decreasing them – but it’s like 10 button presses. So it goes Highest to Lowest to Highest to Lowest if you press the button long enough. This is an interesting design.
On one hand, if you ever want the strongest settings, there’s no easier way than turning off the toy and then turning it back on. Then you’re at the highest spot. On the other hand, most people don’t tend to to *decrease* vibrations as they’re using a sex toy. On the contrary, most people tend to gradually increase vibrations as their pleasure goes higher and higher. So, to be functional for that, you need to turn on the toy, click through the intensity button a ton of times until you reach the bottom of the intensities, and THEN click to raise it up as you use it during your masturbation session. And for the price, the 8 Speeds 20 Frequency Vibrating AV Magic Wand Massager isn’t a bad vibrator. It puts out some decent vibrations. I wouldn’t say that the vibrations are the strongest out there, but they’re decently on-par for a cheaper and smaller wand massager. They’re not particularly buzzy, but they aren’t particularly rumbly either. If you’re used to battery-operated toys or bullet vibrators, you’re going to love the power of the 8 Speeds 20 Frequency Vibrating Wand Massager. If you’re used to other high-end wand massagers, this toy will likely pale in comparison. It really just depends on your point of reference. That being said, assuming your body doesn’t numb to vibrations easily, this affordable wand massager should be a decent option that should be able to get you to orgasm.
Now, it’s not going to get you to orgasm particularly quietly. Like most wand massagers, this Bestvibe silicone wand massager isn’t quiet. When used within the same room, there’s really no reliable way to hide the noise. When used in a room with the door shut, you’ll want a decent-volume television or music to hide the noise of it – but it’s definitely possible to hide.
We also need to talk about the handle. The handle is definitely nice to hold – but at the same time, it’s one of the biggest downsides to this silicone wand vibrator. Because of the design, the vibrations from the head of the massager are felt just as intensely within the handle of the toy. I’d say it’s close to 80% of the vibrational strength can be felt in your hand while holding your toy. This becomes a problem just because of hand numbness if you’re holding the toy for awhile. Vibrations on your sensitive areas can feel pleasurable. Constant vibrations on a hand? Less-so. It definitely gets distracting within a few minutes. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind that sensation, this might not be a problem for you. If you do, though, just be aware of that. Overall, the 8 Speed 20 Frequency Vibrating AV Wand Massager does a decent job at a very-affordable price.
