It’s big.

b-Vibe has become my go-to recommendation for remote controlled butt plugs with a physical remote. Honestly, they’re the gold standard. That is, their shape isn’t necessarily designed to target the prostate. As you can see, it doesn’t have any curvature to it. It’s simply a tapered tip (for easier insertion) that leads into the big, oval shape that makes up the plug.

On the bright side, the XXL Vibrating Jewel Plug, in particular, is so freakin’ huge that it hits the prostate by sheer size and luck. If we put him on his back, and he tucks his hips, pulling his ankles towards his shoulders, it nestles the XXL Vibrating Jewel Plug up against the prostate, and he can still enjoy a lot of the same sensations as some of our prostate plugs.

Sometimes, butt plugs like to phone it on the vibration intensity.

That isn’t the case with this b-Vibe butt plug. It might be because of the extra-large size (which makes for more room for a larger vibration motor), but the b-Vibe XXL Vibrating Jewel Plug is decently strong.

Those vibrations are primarily felt at the tapered tip of the toy, but during wear, you can still feel it at the entrance. (As the non-wearer, I can also feel those vibrations at the base of the plug too, when I use my hands to move it around)

Not just annoying buzzing, the vibrations here are pretty good on the “rumbly” scale. They will overstimulate your bits after awhile of constant vibration. Popping it onto one of the patterns and occasionally swapping the patterns means that we can play with this vibrating butt plug for awhile without numbness. The vibrations can be felt nicely throughout the lower body when it’s on, and as long as you’re conscious about swapping settings, we’ve managed to play with this one for hours while keeping things feeling great (instead of a little buzzingly numbed).

I’m not normally a fan of vibration patterns, but we tried them out for this b-Vibe XXL Vibrating Jewel Plug review. I’m glad we did because we really like them. Let’s Talk about the Jewel

For the entire review, I’ve pretty much ignored the jewel that’s built into the base of the plug. I’mma be honest with you – I pretty much always ignore it.

I love the look of the b-Vibe Jeweled line on virtually every other plug. I think the XXL got the short end of the stick, though, with this black gem. It doesn’t really catch the light or “shine” in the same way that the other colors of the series do. Unless you’re actively pointing your asshole to a window (we have 100% tried this), you don’t really get much of a gem appearance to it. Just looks a bit like a textured base.

However, that “textured base” hasn’t gotten in the way of any of our enjoyment of the plug. It’s recessed into the base itself, so it doesn’t poke out and scratch any of his underwear fabric. That recessed base extends into the gem’s surface itself, adding extra security to keep the gem in place. The gem’s base cleans up really easily, and they’ve minimized deep crevices around the gem that would make for annoying cleaning.

And the gem isn’t scratchy at all. When handling and inserting the plug, I honestly forget it’s there.

Do I wish it was a different gem color? Yes. Is the gem thoughtfully placed into the plug so that it doesn’t disrupt all of the sex functions of the plug? Also yes.
