The Liberator Jaz Mini is a small sex positioning pillow made from Liberator and sold by Adam and Eve. This is a small, pillow that slightly resembles the Liberator Wedge but has a smaller price tag. The inside is still filled with the Liberator foam while the outside, instead of being microfiber like the other covers of Liberator products, is Microsuede. The pillow is fifteen inches wide, thirteen inches long, and raises you six inches off of the ground with a slight elevation in the pillow. Underneath the Microsuede outer layer (which is gray with a hint of black) is an inner, water-resistant layer that protects the foam from messes and lubricant.
There isn’t really any specific packaging. The Jaz just comes with a small piece of cardboard wrapped around the body of the Jaz Mini that shows a blonde girl in her underwear playing around on the Jaz Mini. It will give you some good position ideas and also is extremely easy to remove and recycle.
The Jaz Mini is a neat piece that differentiates itself from other Liberator shapes in both price and size. It’s cheaper than any other Liberator pieces and also is much smaller for travel. In fact, it’s actually small enough to be able to fit into luggage for hotels or kink conventions which is something none of the other sex shapes can claim.
Unlike the other, large Liberator shapes, this one is extremely discreet since you can hide it without much problem (hiding the Ramp or Wedge poses much more a problem.) (A small note: The MicroSuede of the Jaz Mini is not intended to provide a no-slip surface with other Liberator Microfiber covers. It provides a slight grip, but nothing like the other Microfiber-to-Microfiber covers.)
However, with small size does come some disadvantages that you won’t find with some of the larger shapes. The biggest problem is that this shape limits the body shapes that can use it. People with large bodies, large booties, or wide hips are going to find this sex furniture not as helpful. However, if your body shape fits, you’re perfectly good to go, and in all honestly, this shape probably works just as good, if not better, than the expensive Wedge alternative. (Plus, this one comes in some cute colors.)
The shape problem with this is that this doesn’t really support plus-size people well. Because it’s only six inches off from the ground, there is a lot less material for this to resist compression compared to the Wedge which has a full nine. This means that, when your heavier weight compresses the foam, you end up at an angle that isn’t nearly as useful because it’s down at two or three inches instead of the full six that it should be. The submissive, who is 140 pounds, can easily shove his hips on this and it stays up nicely at the full six inches. However, I weigh twice his weight, and it doesn’t nearly hold as nicely for my bigger-body weight.
Aside from the squishing factor, you also have to take into account the physical width of the pillow. It’s fifteen inches in width. For most people of a smaller frame (I’d say most women of a size 10 or less should easily fit on this, but it seriously depends on your hip size.) For fifteen inches across, it just doesn’t work for me. My hips are so much wider than fifteen inches that it’s nearly useless for me.
However, I’m not considering that a con. You shouldn’t either. Make an informed decision when you purchase which means looking into the tiny size of the Jaz as well as the width of the pillow. When I requested it, I knew all of that, and that’s why I intended on using this for the submissive. For a (slimmer) male who enjoys pegging and anal, this little pillow can be a lot more useful than a larger shape like the Wedge. The Wedge elevates the hips higher and makes it a bit more uncomfortable for me to give anal play as well as touch their penis. However, the Jaz gives you a good elevation at a lower height and lower angle which makes anal play easier and keeps you easily reach as well. Plus, this can also be used as something to bend over during doggy style.
It can also be used for elevating the hips for a missionary position to make sex better. I have to say that, while I can’t vouch for the Jaz Mini in particular, the Liberator Wedge, which is like this one, makes sex ten times better for me. It elevates the hips so the penetrating partner can enter more easily as well as makes sex go more smoothly because there isn’t quite so much friction caused by the awkward angle. (I’m talking about the bad kind of friction created around the outside of the entrance because of awkward rubbing.) Plus, for a lot of people during vaginal sex (myself included) the elevation of the hips allows for the g-spot to be hit during sex without much effort on either partner’s part.
Since the MicroSuede cover is removable and easy to clean, this works out being a worry-free toy. You just unzip the cover by the zipper that runs the bottom length of the pillow, and throw the cover in the wash. Let it dry, then put it back on. You can also remove the water-resistant cover, but there’s really no reason to. It just needs to be wiped down. Because of the water-resistant cover that lies underneath the outer cover, you don’t have to worry about getting lubricant or bodily fluids on the cushion. For storage, we just keep it out in the open, but you could easily throw this in a clothing drawer, the back of the closet, under the bed, or pretty much anywhere – it’s pretty small!
I’d recommend this for any couple that has regular sex and wants to enjoy new sensations. It makes sex much more pleasurable for me. For those who want extra support in elevating the hips for both anal and vaginal positions, this a great choice that hides easily. However, if you are of a bigger body frame, this may not work well for elevating the hips. (Though it would work just fine as a head pillow for watching some partner-on-top action.)
