Always and Forever is a pornographic movie that runs about an hour and a half and includes five different sex scenes. The movie was directed by Michael Raven and stars Jessica Drake with supporting roles by Barrett Blade, Mikayla Mendez, Scarlett Fay, Scott Styles, Nicole Ray, Rocco Reed, and Randy Spears. It was produced by Wicked Pictures. The DVD was released in late 2008. The DVD is a one-disk set and is the size of a regular DVD case. It comes with a DVD sleeve that looks the exact same as the dvd packaging.
I requested this DVD for review from Better Sex because the packaging looked interesting. Upon further inspection, I noticed that it was a feature movie and seemed to have a pretty decent plot – that a woman falls ill and can’t contact her long-supportive boyfriend. After many failed attempts at contacting him, she starts dating again and her career takes off. Of course, there’s a catch – right before she’s about to get married to another man, it turns out that her original supportive boyfriend never actually abandoned her. Of course, along the way, there’s tons of sex. There’s always tons of sex. It’s a porn, after all.
The movie starts off with Jessica Drake (the main character) complaining to her boyfriend Ryan (Barrett Blade) that she’s feeling stressed about her writing. Of course, he’s going to help her “relax”. The movie gets into the sex pretty quickly which is good if you don’t want a slow start. Jessica and Barrett seem to have a playful charisma in their dialogue that was nice to watch, and it seemed to continue into the sex scene. Both of them did remind of a newlywed couple during the sex scene with lots of giggling, playing around, and smiling though. It just includes the basic oral sex and vaginal sex, but it was nice to see the playfulness of the two characters. The sex scene was about perfect in length at about 8 minutes total.
Afterwards, more of the plot continues. We find out that Jessica is feeling depressed even though she’s a great writer and has a ton of money. After that revelation, we watch as Ryan and Jessica have dinner with her father (Randy Spears) and her father’s new girlfriend (Mikayla Mendez). The dinner is hilarious since the father’s girlfriend plays a really stupid, uninformed character while the rest of the table is discussing politics. After the dinner scene, when Ryan and Jessica leave, we watch the “parents” have sex. Randy lays back while Jessica does most of the foreplay work and sex work. (Even in doggy style. He makes her push back onto him.) She seems to be enjoying it though and during the scene, it seems like her character likes to flaunt her sexuality. I can’t say that I detected any special chemistry between the characters though that made it feel “real”. It just felt like two porn actors having sex. This scene runs about ten minutes.
After that, during a meeting with an interviewer, Jessica starts to fall ill and stumbles over all of her words, embarrassing herself. It turns out she has regular bouts of depression but doesn’t want to take medication because it harms her writing career. She has her best friend over to try and make herself feel better, and later that night, the best friend (Scarlett Fay) and her boyfriend (Rocco Reed) start to get playful on Jessica’s couch. (Which is kinda weird ’cause they were watching a horror movie, and it’s still on in the background.) The scene was pretty slow-moving and sensual, and it does seem like both actors really enjoyed themselves. They give each other oral sex then move straight into intercourse. After the foreplay, the sensual touching and loving stopped which was really unfortunate. The rough humping just made the scene look like every other porn scene ever produced.
When the scene is done, Ryan comes home to find Jessica curled up in a corner crying and ends up consoling her. Ryan takes Jessica to her father who is a therapist to help with the depression. The father’s girlfriend, when Ryan continues to try and call and get ahold with Jessica, the father’s girlfriend keeps telling him Jessica wants nothing to do with him. So he tries coming over. Same message. Jessica keeps asking if he’s tried to contact her, and the father’s girlfriend lies over and over. After awhile, Jessica and Ryan give up, assuming the other doesn’t want them.
In the next scene, Jessica gets involved with Scott Styles – the therapist who helped her. The scene starts off with Jessica giving him a blowjob while the voiceover talks about how she still loved Ryan (this is two years later), but how Scott proposed, and she had a different type of love for him. Of course, after him receiving the blowjob for the majority of the scene, she slides on top of him for some vaginal sex. Nothing that amazing – in fact, the scene isn’t arousing either. I actually feel like she’s not even enjoying it either. There’s a lot of porn moaning, but she looks bored. (Though he does keep saying “Kiss Me”, so she goes from giving him head to kissing him.) It’s about a ten minute scene.
Soon after, it cuts out to a conversation between Scott and Jessica; we see that she isn’t quite so fond of him. That night, Ryan calls Jessica, and they talk it all out and find out that the father’s girlfriend got in the way of everything. Jessica’s now engaged to be married, so no matter how much she likes Ryan, she can’t call off the wedding. ….or can she? Of course, I’m not going to spoil whether she does or not, but it’s a decent plot.
The movie ends with an odd sex scene between Nicole Ray and Barrett Blade. I loved Barrett’s playful attitude towards the sex, and the two of them made a pretty decent sex scene with this one. Unfortunately, it turns out the camera guy didn’t shut the outdoor window before filming this, so there are light blue window streaks all over the scene thoughout the scene. She’s a little annoyingly loud, but I suppose most guys will like the scene; I wasn’t fond though.
The sex scenes were all pretty basic. During porns, I always find myself wishing that they could find some way to make their sex unique or creative, so I don’t find myself feeling like it’s the same scene I’ve watched but with different people. Oral sex with fake moaning then move onto vaginal sex then ejaculate to the face. I’m sure that’s how everyone has sex every time, right? Of course not. I wish they’d add more substance to the sex scenes – this movie included. The music was pretty good, and it framed the sex and the plot well.
I’m not sure how I feel about the plot. I feel like, for a porn movie, it was a little heavy, but it was pretty enjoyable as well. I felt like the main character (Jessica) was an idiot though – who doesn’t attempt to contact the love of their dreams for a month then assumes they abandoned them? The guy she got engaged to was such a dick though too, that I can’t believe she dated him. However, the characters actually had some pretty good acting, and the movie and the characters were realistic for an adult movie.
The chapters feature allows you to select your chapter by sex scene. It doesn’t give names, but it gives a small moving clip of the sex scene. Only five chapters (representing the five sex scenes) are in the chapter selection feature.
Special Features include a bonus sex scene, a behind the scenes feature, a photo gallery, trailers of other Wicked movies, and other promotional material for Wicked. The bonus sex scene features Jessica Drake and Derrick Pierce from the movie “Seduction”.
For the most part, Always and Forever was a run-of-the-mill porn with a decent plot. If you enjoy watching porn for the plots, this is worth the watch (especially the ending!), but if you purely want the sex scenes, they just aren’t unique enough to recommend. I did enjoy the plot for plot’s sake though – I’m just not sure how I feel about it having been in a porn. (I think it would have done better without the sex.)
