Welcome to my Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug review.

And I think this is the only T Shaped base glass plug I’ve ever seen. Continuing their streak of constant, new innovations, Crystal Delights has crafted a new anal plug design that has, previously, only been seen in silicone and softer materials.

Made entirely from thick glass (it’s not hollow!), the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Butt Plug is currently available in a single size. It is about 3.6″ in length with a bulb diameter of around 1.3″ at the thickest point. It weighs about 3.5oz. (All of these measurements are subject to slight variance as the toys are handmade.)

Instead of the standard circular base that most of the Crystal Delights butt plugs have, this glass butt plug offers a T Shaped Base. The base/handle has also been crafted with gently beveled edges for easier grip and slick, rounded corners for comfort.

Why even make a T Base glass plug to begin with? Let’s talk about it.

Why a T Handle Glass Plug?

About a decade ago, a few different butt plug manufacturers started transitioning to a T-shaped base. This long “line” of a base still prevented the butt plug from accidentally sliding into the butt – but it simultaneously offered less pressure on the skin between the cheeks. Instead of a round-shaped base that presses into both cheeks during wear, the T-shaped base simply rested between the cheeks.

The Crystal Delights T Handle Glass plug has gone with a similar method. While the vast majority of their beautiful glass butt plugs offer a circular base, the T Handle Glass Plug uses a base that looks much more like a line. While this removes Crystal Delight’s usual gems and designs at the base, it provides a different experience, wearing-wise.

Especially for people who do a lot of walking while wearing their butt plugs, a T Handle reduces the friction and chafing that can happen between the skin of the cheeks and the plug itself.

The T Shaped base also offers another benefit: easy gripping. Glass toys are known for getting a bit slippery with the smallest amount of lube. This can make them difficult to grip – especially with a tiny, circular base that provides minimal finger room to begin with.

A T Handle Glass Plug eliminates a lot of that problem by offering a larger, wider space for the fingers to get around. While a T Handle Base may be longer in one direction than a standard circular base, this length allows you to hook two fingers around either side of the stem for easier gripping.

This easier gripping can be a bonus for insertion or removal – but it can also be a beneficial part of your play as well. Especially if you tend to use your butt plug for thrusting, jiggling, or additional sensation, this T Shaped Base acts as an easy grip “handle” for easily controlling the plug.

Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug: How Comfortable Is It?

Okay, so I just finished telling you how much more comfortable T Handle plugs can be. Does that pan out for this particular plug?

It all depends on what you’re doing. We agree that the T Handle base is the clear winner if you’re going to be walking around with the plug. It reduces almost all of the friction against the cheeks, and he honestly forgets that the plug extends outside of the body. It reduces the usual butt plug “pain points” – and leaves all of the focus on the weighty, delicious internal sensations the plug offers. A tiny, tiny dab of water-based lube around the exterior of the plug really adds the final touch for sensationless external wear.

However, sitting isn’t as comfortable. The T-Shaped base appears to be thicker and a bit more pronounced than the usual, rounded plugs. This isn’t the end of the world, but if you have a tiny butt or small frame, this pronounced design makes it easier for the plug to contact the surface below you.

When wearing the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug out for public play, we had to ask to be reseated at a restaurant when they sat us at a table with wooden chairs. It was downright painful for him as the edges of the base pressed into the bones of his butt. Once we were reseated onto the plush surface of a booth, however, it was still noticeable but was tolerably uncomfortable.

On the few times I’ve taken the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug for a spin, I only notice this when I’m sat on a very hard surface (like a wooden dining chair) with my “ass meat” intentionally moved out of the way. My plus-sized butt appears to provide enough cushioning that the plug’s base doesn’t easily meet the surface underneath me.

So, this may only come up if you’re smaller framed and using the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug.

Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug: How Well Does It Stay In?

My biggest caution: watch how much lube you use with this plug. While I’m normally “team lube!” for almost everything, going ham with the lube on this butt plug can make it much, much harder to retain the plug. We saw a direct change in how well the plug stayed inside of the body depending on the liberal (or not-so-liberal) use of lube.

I recommend using the minimal amount of lube required for comfortable insertion – and bringing along the lube for reapplication as needed. Especially if you’re used to silicone toys, you’re going to be surprised how little lube is needed. A tiny squirt was the perfect sweet spot for us to cover the toy without too much.

Once we hit that sweet spot, with the help of snug underwear and avoiding strenuous activity, the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug stayed nicely within the body. It wouldn’t be our first pick for going on a multi-mile walk (I think it would slide out), but it worked fine for walking around a mall, sitting at restaurants, and generally taking a slow, casual gait.

If you’re regularly enjoying anal intercourse with a penis or “average”-sized toys, you may also want to size up to a larger Crystal Delights plug. The 1.3″ diameter works well for people who don’t take larger items regularly, but if you’re someone who enjoys anal stretching, this slimmer diameter may work against you. Its slimmer size may be more susceptible to slipping out of the butt if you regularly stretch beyond its size.

How Well Does This Glass T Base Toy Work for Active Play?

As I previously mentioned, one of the cool benefits of a T Shaped Base is a better grip. This better grip translates into easier active play.

• Active play = gripping, manipulating, and moving the plug for pleasurable sensations to happen
• Passive play = slipping the plug into the butt and letting your full-body movement of everyday life cause pleasurable sensations

In general, butt plugs aren’t always designed for active play. The design of a “plug” means that it is intentionally designed to stay inside of the butt once fully inserted. Compare this to a dildo which was specifically crafted to be moved around constantly.

However, some people really enjoy the sensation of a plug being manipulated. Once a plug is inserted, the full “bulb” can provide some luscious sensations – especially if the plug is moved around into the p-spot or g-spot. For people who really enjoy the sensations of penetration, the large bulb – partnered with the instant return to the slim retention area – can cause a lot of enjoyment as well.

In short, while butt plugs are designed for passive play, some people love them for active play too!

This is where a lot of the benefit of a T Shaped Butt Plug comes in. The handle at the base of this Crystal Delights plug makes it work better for gripping than any other glass plug I’ve played with. The additional bevels – which run the entire length of the plug’s base/handle, are surprisingly helpful. They looked gorgeous in pictures, but I wasn’t sold on their functionality until I used it.

Slickness is a major benefit of most glass sex toys. Depending on what you’re doing and where you’re using it, you may not even need to use lube (like in the vagina) – and if you do need lube, it might be a small amount. Glass toys just take whatever slickness you give them and extend it for a long, long time.

This is absolutely amazing when it comes to using a glass toy and enjoying its sensations – but it can be slightly problematic when it comes to handling the toy.

The Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug eliminates this issue in a way that’s virtually unseen of in glass anal plugs. This T-shaped handle lets you loop a finger around each end of the toy for easier handling. Partnered with the beveling, these two fingers stay in place pretty well to allow you to manipulate the plug without your fingers slipping all over the place.

If you’re looking for a really secure grip, I’d still recommend bringing a towel – or being very careful with lube application. But the Crystal Delights T Handle Plug offers better handling than virtually any other glass plug I’ve played with. It actually feels somewhat magical.

Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug Review: How Does It Feel?

So, we went this whole review without talking about how the plug feels – and that’s somewhat intentional.

This Crystal Delights butt plug feels great – but essentially the same as most of the other Crystal Delights plugs. That is, they do exactly what they claim to do, and they feel fantastic while doing it.

The magic of the Crystal Delights T Handle Glass Plug isn’t in the design of the internal, sensation bits. It’s in the anchor that keeps the toy outside of the body.

Choose which Crystal Delights toy you want based on that idea – not on the idea of the sensation itself.

If you want a butt plug that’s designed for lots of walking and hand manipulation of the toy itself (for thrusting or wiggling), go with the Crystal Delights T Shaped Glass Plug.

If you want a butt plug that offers beautiful visuals while inserted with a “classic” design that will feel more comfortable for hard surface sitting, go with one of the standard Crystal Delights plugs.

Either way, you get a toy that’s slippery, easy to insert, and feels amazing inside of the body.

(All that said, this glass plug, like the rest of them from Crystal Delights, feels really nice and filling while inserted. The tapered tip really helps with a smooth insertion – especially when partnered with the glass material. The slimmer retention area feels really comfortable while wearing it. The bulbous tip makes sure you can’t forget about the sensations of the plug – but in the best ways possible.)
