The latest iteration of We-Vibe’s couple’s vibrators, the We-Vibe Chorus is a rechargeable silicone vibrator crafted to add pleasure during intercourse. Equipped with Squeeze Control, AnkorLink connectivity, and a bendable design (their big selling points this time), the We-Vibe Chorus is an adjustable vibrator designed to slide into the vagina for g-spot and clitoral stimulation. It’s also app-control compatible (with the We-Connect app) and waterproof. The We-Vibe Chorus includes the We-Vibe Chorus itself, the remote for the Chorus, a storage dock that doubles as a charging dock, an informational booklet, and a sample-sized packet of We-Vibe Lube. The We-Vibe Chorus is available in three different colors.

Design of the We-Vibe Chorus

Haven’t seen a couple’s vibrator like this before? Essentially, it’s a U-shaped vibrator designed for use in the vagina. One end of this slim vibrator slips into the vagina while the other end stays outside of the vagina and rests against the clitoris. It’s designed to pleasure both the clitoris and the internal part of the vagina at the same time (depending on your anatomy, it might hit your g-spot). The slim design of the We-Vibe Chorus is crafted to be small enough to allow a penis to slip in alongside the vibrator – hence the category of “couple’s vibrator”. It’s designed to be worn during intercourse, but it certainly doesn’t have to be. The design does tend to slip out with a lot of walking and moving around, though, so it’s definitely a stationary type of toy.

The We-Vibe Chorus is one of the prettier We-Vibes I’ve ever seen or owned. The pink material has a sparkly shimmer to it that I’m honestly in-love with. Its worlds of difference away from the matte purple We-Vibe toys of ol’. This shimmer looks modern and pretty, and honestly, just plain pretty. I LOVE the look of it. (And I love that the remote of the We-Vibe Chorus shares the exact same design and materials. The silicone covering the remote makes it so easy to grip.)

The We-Vibe Chorus also comes equipped with their new bendable, adjustable-fit design. More about that later.

Vibrations of the We-Vibe Chorus

I don’t see much of a change in the vibrations of the We-Vibe Chorus versus previous iterations like the We-Vibe 4. That is, the vibrations are still a-okay. The size of the Chorus is definitely a limiting factor for vibration strength. (Considering We-Vibe is known for shoving some really impressively powerful vibrations into small packages though [looking at you We-Vibe Tango and We-Vibe Rave], this is surprising.)

The vibrations on the We-Vibe Chorus are a bit on the buzzier side, and, at least for me, aren’t strong enough for orgasm unless I add rubbing the toy against me at the same time (which, with its design for use during intercourse with rubbing, could be a good fit for you). Vibrations are entirely focused in the clitoral, out-of-the-body portion of the Chorus, and if the internal portion has a motor (and I think it does), it’s noticeably less powerful than the clitoral portion. If you own the We-Vibe Rave, the Chorus is putting out about 50% of the Rave’s power (though the Rave is one of more-powerful g-spot toys I know about!)

That being said, my penetrative, penis-owning partner was more-than-enthused about the power of the internal vibrations, and it got him off much more quickly than usual. It adds a lot to penetrative sex – even if it isn’t the power I’m used to for g-spot or clitoral pleasure in other sex toys. The idea is that it adds more pleasure to penetrative sex – but it maybe isn’t the best vibrator for solo stimulation of those areas.

The ten vibration modes are a fantastic mixture of steady speeds and patterns. You get 4 steady and 6 pattern. The patterns are pretty neat, and I actually use them on a vibrator (for once). I especially love the patterns that play “back and forth” between the internal and external motors. It’s a bit hard to count the exact speeds/patterns because the We-Vibe Chorus remembers the last setting you used it on. So when you turn it back on, it will be right back onto that setting.

Noise-wise, the We-Vibe Chorus is on the softer side. It definitely has some noise, but with the air conditioner on, it can’t be heard outside of a closed door. It gets even quieter when inserted (so if you’re really worried about noise, wait to turn it on until its in the body). It isn’t distracting during use, and it just sounds like low-level vibration.

We-Vibe Chorus Squeeze Control Review

The We-Vibe Chorus has two stand-out features: the Squeeze controls and the multi-point adjustable “fit”. Let’s split those out.

The “Squeeze” control is a brand new way to control the We-Vibe Chorus. Instead of fussing with buttons, the ergonomic remote has pressure-sensitive sensors built into the remote itself. Squeeze the remote, and the vibrator will increase in vibrational intensity. When you’re in the middle of passionate sex, you don’t have to worry about finding or locating buttons on the remote. You just squeeze, and the We-Vibe Chorus gets stronger from the *current* vibration setting that you’re on. (i.e. If you were already on an intensity 6, it’ll increase from there. If you were on an intensity 1, it’ll increase from there.) The We-Vibe Chorus only increases the intensity for the duration of the squeeze.

(Honestly, if you play video games, it feels like a video game, fist-grip-hold, remote control. It feels VERY natural in the hand and honestly like a comfortable extension of your hands. It’s not small, and the silicone tacky-ness feeling of the silicone means it doesn’t slip out of your hands all that easily. If you throw some lube on it, it’ll be a bit more slippery, but for non-lubed hands, it stays there super nicely. It *feels* like a comfortable design that’s really nice to hold in your hands.)

This Squeeze Control is neat – but it has caveats. I see where We-Vibe was going with it. After all, having a control that’s literally as simple as squeezing definitely allows your mental focus to stay on the “pleasure at hand” with your partner. That being said, the Squeeze Control isn’t a light-handed experience. You need to squeeze with some intensity to get the vibrations to increase. This would work a-okay (for some bodies; not all!) if the vibrations stayed at the higher intensity once you squeezed it. (Like if there was a mode where squeezing the remote “stepped up” the intensity by one level – and stayed there). However, that isn’t the case. If you want the vibrations to stay at that level, you need to squeeze and hold. And hold. And hold. Getting the vibrations to double in strength takes enough force that my hand is literally in noticeable fatigue after five seconds. There’s no way I could keep that up long enough, realistically, to use that function to get me to orgasm – and to ride it out.

The We-Vibe Chorus did attempt to put in a way to solve this. When you’re in the Squeeze mode, there’s a button on the remote that will “lock” the intensity level wherever you have it currently squeezed to. However, this is the upper-most button – the button that requires me to slide the remote through my hand in order to reach this button. In addition to requiring mental focus to do this (which was the opposite of what this Squeeze control was designed to do), it required me to move my position on the vibrator’s remote – which decreased the vibrational intensity when I did it. So then I had it locked on a softer setting than I wanted in the first place.

All of this, of course, is in addition to the fact that, in order to use the Squeeze Control, you must hold the We-Vibe Chorus remote fully in a fist and keep it there to control the vibrations. This automatically means you’re down a hand to touch your partner or do anything else unless you want to put the remote down and let the vibrations go back to your “baseline” (which is an option).

So, while the Squeeze Control is awesome, it’s definitely more of a foreplay/cute feature to me than an orgasmic one. It’s not comfortable enough to maintain long-term during an entire session – not compared to just simply pressing the up and down arrows on the ergonomic remote and then setting the remote (which is large enough to find! Score!) to the side. It takes a noticeable amount of fist pressure to maintain the higher levels of vibration, and that amount of pressure is pretty distracting from the sex – which defeats the point of a seamless Squeeze control experience in the first place. At least for me.

We-Vibe Chorus Adjustable Design

Let’s talk about the We-Vibe Chorus’s second unique feature: the adjustable arms. This, I am in love with. I’ve always enjoyed the We-Vibe toys a-okay, but they were never overwhelmingly amazing. They never felt quite “right” for my anatomy. The adjustable arms on the We-Vibe Chorus help this feel like it’s much more of a personalized fit.

You see, this U-shaped vibrator has two points of adjustment. Each side of the vibrator (both the penetrating end and the external end) can be gently “bent” into a more extreme or less extreme angle from one another. As you can see in the photos, this gives your We-Vibe Chorus an entirely new shape. The bends aren’t particularly intense – and you’re supposed to avoid overbending it to avoid harming the Chorus.

Once the bends are made on the We-Vibe Chorus, though, it does an a-okay job staying in place. It won’t provide impressively firm pressure “against” an opposing force, but as long as the shape you twisted the toy into follows the shape of your anatomy, it pretty much will stay in that exact same shape. It will not hold up to any sort of extreme pressure against the angles, though. For example, if you’re hoping to use the Chorus to provide really firm pressure against your g-spot, it will not stay in any sort of extreme angle. It will just bend back to “normal” when in the face of most pressure.

It still isn’t quite long enough to hit my g-spot, but it definitely hits much better spots inside of my body than a non-bendable We-Vibe Chorus. I especially like how it fits better with the clitoral side. The “bend” on the clitoral side means that it provides a lot more pressure to the clitoris than the “loose” fit I find on non-bendable We-Vibes. It feels snug. It feels a lot more likely to stay in place if I was to use it during pegging or non-intercourse or masturbation positions (which I haven’t gotten to try, but it does seem like a better fit!). The bendable design definitely makes me enjoy the We-Vibe Chorus a lot more than previous We-Vibe iterations.

Other Ways to Control the We-Vibe Chorus

If you don’t want to use the “revolutionary” Squeeze Control, the We-Vibe Chorus also offers other ways to control the vibrator. First, you can use the buttons on the top of the remote control. This is, by far, my favorite way to control this silicone couple’s vibrator. With a remote that feels super comfortable in the hand, just press the buttons with your thumb, and you can instantly change the vibrations.

If that’s not up your alley, you can play with the We-Connect cell phone app. As I’m balls deep into the We-Vibe ecosystem anyway, the We-Connect app is already on my phone. I had a few connection issues with the We-Connect app. It definitely needs direct line-of-sight to control the vibrator, and without it (like when I’m holding the phone and remote up near my breasts instead of near my vagina), it has cut-out issues. If you’re a skinnier person, you might not have the same issues, though. Set-up is simple, and the control is simple and does exactly as commanded as long as it has that line-of-sight. It’s definitely not a candidate for public play – at least for me.

The We-Vibe Chorus is the first We-Vibe to use “AnkorLink Technology”. Essentially, the app transmits to the remote which transmits to the We-Vibe Chorus itself. The remote acts as a middle man. This means, even if you’re using the app, you MUST have the remote nearby or else nothing will transmit. Essentially, you need two remotes to use the app. Which sounds like a ridiculous pain, but at the same time, it does add some functionality.

How? You can use the remote to “bounce” the signal to reduce some of the “line of sight” issues I was having. Keep your mobile phone wherever its comfortable to you, but let the We-Vibe Chorus remote rest between the thighs or next to the thighs. The mobile commands will bounce into the remote and then transmit their way into the Chorus while bypassing that line-of-sigh issue. Yes, it does require laying next to a remote in order to make it work, but hey – if it works with no issue versus another alternative, then it works. If there’s anything that would be likely to disrupt signal (body positioning, thick clothing, etc.), just use that We-Vibe Chorus remote as an intermediary that’s easily accessible to both the mobile phone and the remote – instead of sticking your cell phone up your partner’s skirt in order to make it obey a command.

Charging the We-Vibe Chorus

Like some of the couple’s vibrators that came before it, the We-Vibe Chorus was designed for as simplistic charging as possible. The “base” of the We-Vibe Chorus storage container actually has space to keep the remote and the vibrator itself. The vibrator itself is rechargeable, and when you put it into the storage container and plug the container in, it will charge it. The We-Vibe Chorus will get up to 90 minutes of playtime off of a single charge. This single charge should take two hours.

The remote doesn’t have any rechargability features though (boo). It requires a CR2032 battery replacement when the battery runs out. (Your first one is included and installed for you).

Unlike previous iterations of this charging base, the We-Vibe Chorus has a magnetic “snap in” port for the U-shaped vibrator. This snap-in design alleviates my usual “which side of the We-Vibe goes in which hole?” conundrum. There’s only one way to snap it in, and the magnets will take care of it. The remote has the same-ol’ shaped-out hole, so it just slides in, butt-down. Once both the remote and the vibrator are in the storage container, you can just slide on the plastic lid. (You can choose to just put in one of the two as well, but that seems like a quick train to “losing something”-ville). The lid stays on pretty well, and it’s a two-handed affair to pull off the lid when you’re ready to play with the vibrator again. The lid wouldn’t stay on through tons of jumbling around in your luggage (unless it was firmly packed), but the lid will stay on easily on the nightstand or when in a drawer.

Packaging of the We-Vibe Chorus

The We-Vibe Chorus comes firmly packaged in a secure, thick cardboard box. This box has a really neat “folding” opening that makes it really easy to open – and it makes it very suitable for storage. You don’t need the packaging if you don’t want it, though, as the charging base (which includes a lid!) is designed for long-term storage of the We-Vibe Chorus and its remote. Inside the box, you’ll get the toy, its case, the remote, the charging cable, the instructions, and a small packet of sample-size We-Vibe Lube. (The instructions are one of those annoying, most-illustration instructions that can make you scratch your head over what you’re supposed to do sometimes).

Cleaning up the We-Vibe Chorus

As the We-Vibe Chorus is waterproof, it’s pretty easy to clean up. Warm water and mild soap will clean it up pretty quickly. Make sure to spend some time rubbing down the interior “texture” of the U-shaped vibe, but otherwise, it’s pretty much a breeze to clean. Minimal texture and an open design with a waterproof toy will do that. Once it’s clean, make sure the toy is fully dry, and then it can be stored in its storage container – charging it up at the same time, if you want to.

The only note is that the We-Vibe Chorus has an FCC disclosure literally printed into the side of the Chorus in the silicone. This etched-in wording is likely worth some attention during cleaning. It doesn’t seem particularly deep, but you should take special time to ensure it gets cleaned properly.

Is the We-Vibe Chorus Worth an Upgrade?

If you already own a We-Vibe, is it worth upgrading to the Chorus? Part of the downside/upside of regular new vibrator releases is feeling a bit of dissatisfaction with your current option (which hey, they’re counting on that. Then they hope you choose to repurchase the new one.)

But, with the We-Vibe Chorus, is it worth it? Honestly, it depends. There’s nothing new in the vibration department to be found. BUT the squeeze control is new, and if you don’t own a We-Vibe with app control, that’s decently new too. Most notably, if your current We-Vibe doesn’t have a bendable design and you find that the vibrator regularly “moves away” from your pleasure spots but you otherwise love your We-Vibe when it’s in the “right” spot, the We-Vibe Chorus is probably worth an upgrade. I wouldn’t upgrade for the Squeeze function unless you find that your current remote regularly slips out of your hands or that a Squeezing design seems like it would fit into your current sex life. As for the app control, well, if you think a cell phone control around the house sounds like a fun and sexy time, then that’s probably worth the upgrade too. Just don’t think you need to automatically upgrade to the We-Vibe Chorus just because it exists. It includes some good upgrades, but it isn’t necessarily a huge step up from your current iteration.

Final Thoughts of the We-Vibe Chorus

Overall, if you don’t have a We-Vibe, the We-Vibe Chorus is the one you should pick up. It’s a bit more expensive, but it also comes packed with features that make it well-worth the alternatives. The adjustable fit means more pleasure for you, and this remote control is so darn comfortable in the hands that it’s amazing. The Squeeze Control still hasn’t reached its ideal design yet, but it’s easy to bypass the Squeeze Control and use the We-Vibe Chorus in ways that are less finicky. Recharging the vibrator is so simple, and the vibrations are strong enough to add pleasure to intercourse for both partners. I’m not sure the We-Vibe Chorus is worth an upgrade if you have any We-Vibe made within the past couple of years, but if you’re considering a new one, it’s definitely worth the cost to make this the one you pick up. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this innovative wireless couples vibrator for my We-Vibe Chorus review.
