We-Vibe Rave Review

We-Vibe Rave Review

Designed for g-spot pleasure, the We-Vibe Rave is a high-end silicone vibrator sold by SheVibe. Made with a unique, asymmetrical design, the Rave by We-Vibe offers a unique take on the standard g-spot toy. With its slim size, small, gentle movements can provide unique sensations to the g-spot which can vary by which way you twist the toy. The We-Vibe Rave is 7.5″ in total length, has an insertable length of 4.5″, and has a width of 1.22″. This silicone vibrator is rechargeable (with a low-power alert for easy charging!), and it’s splash-proof. It’s covered in a lovely, silky-smooth silicone, and it has a very rigid design. The We-Vibe Rave also is compatible with the We-Vibe We-Connect app if you’re into shared control of your pleasure.

We-Vibe Rave Review

Make sure your body is comfortable with the width of the We-Vibe Rave. This g-spot vibrator is very rigid. The silicone is silky-smooth (and I love stroking it in a mindless manner while it sits on my desk!), but it’s definitely one of those toys that has a rigid, plastic core that’s been surrounded by a thin layer of silicone. It has no flexibility to it – and no plushiness to the silicone either. (It also has no smell or taste.) This lends itself well to g-spot stimulation – as the g-spot responds to firm, regular pressure – but it also means that your body needs to be comfortable taking the current width of the We-Vibe Rave because it won’t squish or give under pressure.

We-Vibe Rave Review

The weirdest part about the We-Vibe Rave is the shape of it. It’s, well, oddly-shaped. It’s not symmetrical like you’d expect from a g-spot toy – or any sex toy for that matter. When holding the We-Vibe Rave, the toy noticeably curves towards the left-hand side (which, when the toy is facing towards you during use, curves towards YOUR right-hand side when it’s inserted). We-Vibe is proud of this asymmetrical design, and I’d guess that a good amount of research went into the idea of having a toy that presses up towards the *your* right side of the body for g-spot stimulation. In general, it’s hard to photograph exactly how asymmetrical this vibrator is. It’s so gentle and so gradual that it doesn’t always visually show up, but when hold the toy, it’s an instant “woah, what?”.

Along with this, the We-Vibe Rave was designed with interesting design choices to allow you lots of different surfaces (and surface shapes) to use. One of the edges is particularly pointed to easily slide between the folds of the labia for clitoral pleasure. The other side is much flatter. The g-spot-contact area has a much-more pointed, raised surface than the backside of the vibe which is much flatter. There are a whole lot of gentle ridges, edges, and surfaces for both internal stimulation and external stimulation. The different surfaces are gradual in their differences, but they’re definitely noticeable differences. Don’t expect tons of *unique* sensations, but it’s pretty clear some spots of the toy are better designed for stimulating different areas compared to other areas.

For important info, the We-Vibe Rave is extremely rigid. It’s definitely an interior plastic (with the motorized parts) that’s been covered in a single layer of silky-smooth silicone. Your hands glide over it when you touch it, and it doesn’t really pick up lint or hair. That being said, it is very rigid (perfect for g-spot stimulation), so ensure that your body can comfortably enjoy the thickness of the Rave before you pick it up. Absolutely nothing about this toy is bendable or squishy.

We-Vibe Rave Review

When it comes to actually hitting the g-spot, the We-Vibe Rave does not disappoint. It’s a very broad, intense, internal sensation. When I reach for g-spot toys, I generally go for toys that offer a pinpointed, constant and deep stimulation. That’s what tends to do best for me and my g-spot. However, the Rave isn’t necessarily that toy. It’s much larger than my average g-spot playmate, and it’s certainly more broad and rounded at the tip.

Surprisingly, I really enjoy it. While it doesn’t have the constant, pinpoint stimulation I’m used to, it provides a sensation that feels much more encompassing. It’s hard to describe, honestly. To be honest, it’s a testament to the toy that I still enjoyed the hell out of it when I actually forget it was a vibrator – and forget to turn on the vibrations. Its basic design is just as lovely without the vibrations as it is with the vibrations. It still hits my g-spot (which is amazing, considering most toys fail at it so horridly), and it does it in a way that feels oh-so-delicious.

That being said, the We-Vibe Rave regularly feels like an exploratory mission into my vagina. The asymmetrical shape means I regularly don’t really know what “exact” angle the toy is at – especially while inserted. This leads to a lot of twisting and wiggling and trying out a whole range of new sensations I wouldn’t otherwise bother with. It also means that it isn’t necessarily a “quickie” g-spot vibrator for me. It feels more like an exploratory adventure – and it feels a bit odd when I try to use the We-Vibe Rave as a “get in and out” adventure. It almost seems to “command” that you spend your time exploring with it when you use it with its asymmetrical shape that offers so many different sensations depending on how you rock it, if it’s 5 degrees to the left or right, or how deeply you have it inserted.

Most surprisingly, it seemed like it was so much easier to use than my standard g-spot toy. With my usual (Bent Graduate for the win!), it’s definitely a constant thrusting motion that requires, well, a lot of effort. The We-Vibe Rave seemed to provide that g-spot sensation with a lot less effort. It almost felt like a gentle rocking motion instead of the constant in-and-out motion that I really need with my Bent Graduate toy.

I absolutely fell in love with the complete rigidity of this g-spot vibrator, but I know that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. As evidenced by my Bent Graduate love, though, I’m quite in love with slimmer-rigid internal toys for g-spot sensations, and that’s exactly what the We-Vibe Rave falls under.

The most interesting thing about the We-Vibe Rave is just how many weirdly unique sensations it can provide. Use one of the asymmetrical edges for more pinpointed clitoral stimulation, or tip the vibrator a bit, and you’ll end up with broad stimulation. Its unique, asymmetrical design is pretty much its biggest unique selling point – and it does a great job with that. Whether you’re using it internally or externally, vaginally or clitorally, a slight twist of the wrist can quickly mean you have a new sensation – more pinpoint or more diffuse.

This, however, can also be a downside if using the vibrator with a partner. Instead of providing a “one stimulation to put on body” design, the We-Vibe Rave definitely requires a bit of finesse to find the exact sensation you’re looking for. When using it solo, it’s pretty easy to find that spot and self-correct if you accidentally tilt the toy too much one way or another. When used with a partner, though, it becomes a self-conscious game where you feel like you’re constantly telling them they’re doing it wrong. It would not be my first choice for a “partner uses it on you” vibrator by far. If I hand my partner my Bent Graduate, they pretty much can nail the sensation I’m looking for. If I hand them the We-Vibe Rave, it’s definitely more exploratory, and I’ll find that I really can’t “count” on any particular sensation sticking around – especially if used internally.

Vibrations-wise, the We-Vibe Rave has the similar powerful vibrations that other We-Vibe toys are known for. It’s more-than-enough for clitoral use for me – which shows how much power they threw into this internal toy. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, and as far as a g-spot vibrator, they’re probably some of the most powerful I’ve felt in a toy this size (and meant for internal use). It’s honestly really impressive.

Noise is always a concern as well. The vibrations aren’t particularly quiet or particularly loud. You can definitely pick up on them in the same room – and possibly through a closed door in a dead-quiet house. With some music on, in a separate room, you’ll be safe. I do enjoy how low-key the vibration noise frequency is, though. At no point did it feel annoying or distracting from pleasure.

The We-Vibe Rave is compatible with the We-Connect app. It has connected just fine with the app initially, but I’ve consistently had problems getting it to stay connected during use. It’s at the point where I just don’t use it with the app. If you’re someone who enjoys the idea of someone else controlling your toy, though, it is available. I didn’t really mind using the buttons on the shaft for self-use of the vibrator.

We-Vibe Rave Review

The We-Vibe Rave is rechargeable. The USB cable plugs into the middle of the vibrator (which is an odd placement of the charging port, but okay). The vibrator’s asymmetrical design means this silicone g-spot toy doesn’t tend to wiggle or move around very much while charging. It’s pretty much an easy, streamlined charging process. 90 minutes of charging time will get you about 2 hours of playtime.

Once you’re done with the We-Vibe Rave, cleaning it is a pretty simple job – mostly because the vibrator is really streamlined with no hidden nooks, crannies, or small areas of texture. The vibrator isn’t waterproof, however, so some care with cleaning is definitely recommended. A simple mild soap will clean it off pretty easily. You do, however, need to be careful because of that pesky “splashproof” label. It’s definitely an odd one. Almost all luxury vibrators are waterproof nowadays. Add that to the fact that the largest place where you’re likely to get water in is the charging port – WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOY – and you definitely need to exercise some caution with cleaning. Washcloth is definitely required on this one.

We-Vibe Rave Review

Like most We-Vibe products, the Rave comes packaged in a sturdy cardboard box that’s beautifully printed. The toy rests inside in a tray that’s designed just for its shape. It’s not a discreet package, but it’s a sturdy box that will work really well to store the toy and keep it safe from any harm. Along with the We-Vibe Rave, the box also contains a white, drawstring bag, the vibrator’s charging cable (USB), and basic instructions for using the We-Vibe Rave.

Overall, the We-Vibe Rave is a unique g-spot vibrator that honestly provides a nifty, exploratory variety-pack of g-spot sensations that you can’t really find anywhere else in a single toy – and it does it while somehow feeling effortless. I don’t know how. I don’t really care how. It just works. Not only is its rigid body already designed for amazing g-spot stimulation, but the vibrations are just complete icing on the cake. They’re deep, rumbly, and powerful for a toy this size. It’s really one of those “complete package” types of g-spot toys – as long as you’re open to exploratory missions to your g-spot. I wish it was waterproof (not splashproof), and I wouldn’t recommend it for partner-use-on-you, but that’s about the only complaints I have. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this g-spot vibrator for my We-Vibe Rave review.
