In a fun twist of the game of “Clue”, “Boinked” is an adult version of “who did it?”. Sold by TabuToys, the players move around the board to see if they can figure out who had sex, in what room they had it in, and what type of sex toy they used. Designed for three to eight players, “Boinked” is a board game that can be played with a group of sexually-open friends or just with a group of adult just-friends people. The game includes everything you’ll need to play right in the box.
“Boinked” comes in a pretty sturdy game box, actually. You can easily stack other board games or objects on top of this game box without being concerned. The game comes with short pencils, all of the game cards, notepads, dice, the small “item” accessories, the board game itself, player tokens, player token stands, instructions, and the board itself. Because of the multiple small pieces, keep this VERY MUCH out of reach of any young child that may want to stick these things in their mouths.
Playing “Boinked” is pretty standard. Each player chooses a token, and the evidence cards are split evenly between all the players. Then each player rolls the dice, and takes turns moving around the board and guessing about who did it, with what, and where they did it. Other players refute them by using the cards they have in their hands. If you want to play the adult version, after each turn, the player also draws a “Boinked” card and performs the action that’s listed on the card. It’s just a pretty standard game, and as long as someone in your group has played standard board games before, you’ll easily fall into this one with no issue.
The amazing thing about “Boinked” is that it’s fun as a party game AND fun as a sexual party game. You can play it with friends (adult only!) and just play the game itself, but if you want a sexual experience with each other, you can also play it in a sexual manner too. This makes the game very versatile as you can use it with just-friends and you could use it with more-than-friends, and in both circumstances, it seems like a natural use of the game. You see, “Boinked” has “Boinked” cards that you’re supposed to draw at the end of every turn. This cards are sometimes game-related, but in most cases, they’re sexual, and they ask you to do things with other players. But you really don’t “miss” anything about the game if you don’t play with the “Boinked” cards, so you can easily omit them if you just want a hilarious version of Clue.
And that’s exactly what “Boinked” does. It’s hilarious. It’s adult in a way that lets you get to giggle about things without feeling awkward or bad about it. You get to say awesome things like “I think it was Napolean Blowapart boinked Justin Credible in the Master Bedroom with the Peanut Butter”. And there’s lots of laughing and general enjoyment. There were a lot of laughing fits while playing this, and it took about an hour or so to finish a full game. You can add to the challenge by saying that the people did it in multiple rooms, there were multiple people involved, or there were multiple sex objects used. You can up the challenge this way, and it leads for some interesting and laugh-able conversations.
Plus, “Boinked” has a ton of hilarious names in it. That’s one of my favorite aspects. Names that are hilarious when said out loud such as Robin DeCradle, Lord Harry O’Toole, Hottie McHotterton, Lady Mona Littlemooore, Miss Behavin, and many others. Along with that, some of the sex objects include things like a candle, massage oil, Viagra, Peanut Butter, Rope, and more. It’s just those little, light-hearted pokes at sexuality that the game includes that makes it much more enjoyable to play.
“Boinked” doesn’t really make a great couple’s game. It makes a great game for a GROUP of couples, but not just for two people. “Boinked” is especially amazing for a group of swingers or just a group of people who are sexually open about each other. Plus, the game makes things a bit tamer or a bit more wild depending on which option you choose. Some of the cards have things like “Naughty”, “Naughtier”, “Naughtiest”, and you can choose how wild you want to be with the actions that it describes on the card. These options make it easier to be comfortable with some of the sexual things that the game cards request.
As an example of some of the “Boinked” cards, you have things that include feeling up breasts (One person gets to or all the players get to), swapping clothing, kissing, sitting in the lap of other people, going topless or naked, giving lap dances, using ice cubes, and others. Some of the “Boinked” cards have game-related things (take an extra turn), but the majority have these sexy ideas on them. Again, you can play without the “Boinked” cards if you want to make the game more tame which is always a good option too.
Overall, I’m extremely, extremely surprised and impressed by “Boinked”. Many of the “adult adaptations” to traditional games are done cheesily and crappily, but “Boinked” isn’t. The names are hilarious, the board is good quality, it comes with the accessories you need, and the sexual cards are playful and suggestive without being lame. Plus, this game is extremely versatile, and you can make it sexual or you can just make it an adult game. If you want a fantastic board game that will lead to giggles (and possibly more, if you want), I definitely, definitely recommend “Boinked”. Thanks to TabuToys adult toys for providing this sex board game for my “Boinked” board game review.
