The Fun Factory Share in Violet

The Share Violet is a double-ended dildo from FunFactory made from silicone. The Share is pretty long – it’s nine inches total with the shaft portion being six inches and the self-inserting part being a bulb of about three inches. The diameter of the shaft is about 1 and 3/4 inches and the diameter of the self-inserting part is about 1 7/8 inches. It’s a little bit hefty at about a pound and a half when you consider that it’s pure silicone – not hollow. The entire double-dildo is very smooth with a bit of drag – characteristic of silicone.

The FunFactory Share was meant to be a strap-on dildo that could be used without a harness – it’s only to be inserted into to “topping” (for future reference, I’m going to call the one who will be *doing* the insertion as the top) partner’s vagina. From there, the idea is that the dildo is supposed to hold itself up purely by Kegal muscles, and it won’t require any harness or anything. While this is great in theory, in reality, it doesn’t quite work exactly as promised.

For one, I suppose my Kegal muscles just aren’t strong enough to hold up a pound and a half. It doesn’t exactly just “slip” out, but it’s uncomfortable to have to clench my muscles *that* tightly to hold up the Share. In theory, if you have strong enough Kegal muscles, you actually can hold this up without much of a problem, but I’d imagine that most people don’t have that amazing strong of Kegal muscles. However, to combat this, I use the Share with a harness. I know – that seems like it would destroy the entire point of a harness-free dildo, but it doesn’t.

It doesn’t because, despite being in a harness, it’s still inside of me. This means that, unlike other dildos that just sit externally, this one actually extends internally, and it feels much more “mine” than those other dildos. It also makes it so I have more connection and control over the Share itself. When I use this dildo on my boyfriend, instead of just feel it pushing onto my pubic bone, I can actually feel the movement inside of me like the dildo itself is an extension of my own body instead of just some attachment. I’m actually really, really fond of the Fun Factory Share because of that reason.

Another plus side about that is that when I’m giving, I’m also receiving. I wouldn’t say that it stimulates the g-spot or anything, but I can definitely feel the pull on the dildo itself, and it feels pleasurable – really pleasurable. It makes it so using a strap-on dildo on someone provides pleasure for the both of us – not just the receiver, and I’m always up for something like that.

Without the harness keeping the dildo in place, however, even with strong Kegal muscles, your shaft is going to be a little droopy. While the inserting part is strong enough to hold the dildo up, the shaft still has more silicone, and thus, weighs more. This means that, when wearing, your shaft is going to droop a little bit because the silicone weighs more, and there’s honestly not much that can be done with it. I’m happy to report that, even with the drooping, the silicone doesn’t seem to be harmed or be torn, so the drooping seems to be a regular and planned-for piece of this FunFactory dildo.

Insertion is pleasant as well even if it’s a little awkward. As long as the Share is covered in lubricant (covered, but not overdone. Overdone makes it harder to hold in), you can insert the insertion bulb pretty comfortably inside yourself. Silicone tends to absorb lubricant a little bit, so you may have to reapply your lubricant in the middle of your session if it starts to get uncomfortable. It can be a little painful if you aren’t used to large insertions, but once you get past the thickest part, it’s honestly not too bad. It’s so thick to help be able to hold it in during use which is something that I can appreciate – even if it feels awkward to insert.

How did it feel for the receiver? The boyfriend said it felt pleasurable – but it was honestly a little big for him to take anally. He still considers himself an anal beginner, so that would explain it when it comes to that. However, he had a fun time giving it oral and putting a condom on it, and I had a fun time receiving those things because, for once, I could actually feel something besides just the dildo sitting on top of me. We didn’t get to try it out for long anally because he said it hurt too much, but that’s just our anal experience – nothing to do with the dildo. For what we did try, he said he was pleasurable once it was all the way in, but it was just too painful for continuing thrusting. Again, not the dildo’s fault. We’ll work up to its diameter at some point and come back and love it to death another day. Until then, it sounds like a great dildo to wear for fulfilling receiving some blowjobs because it’s something that I can actually feel.

Cleaning is a breeze. You can just shove this dildo in boiling water for three minutes to sterilize it, but you’ll need a big pot for that. To clean it regularly, warm water and antibacterial soap works well. Silicone is ONLY usable with water-based lubricant, so be careful not to use silic0ne-based lubricant with it. We honestly have used Wet Platinum with our dildo, and it doesn’t harm it, though, so it really depends on the quality of the silicone lubricant you are using on it. Since both the silicone and the lubricant are high-quality, they play nice together. If you want to try out your favorite silicone lubricant, make sure to spot test to avoid destroying your new toy. For storage, I honestly keep it in the original box. It’s too big to find a storage bag, and I want to protect it from dust and fuzzies.

So do we love the Share? Yes. I want to Share. And Share some’more. It’s a great double-ended dildo that allows me for to enjoy the pleasure that I’m giving as well. It makes it so the dildo feels more like a “real” part of me, and I’m honestly really fond of the feeling. While it will be difficult to hold this up on your own without a harness unless you have amazing Kegals, I still found that using this with a harness is preferable over using a regular dildo with my harness – I like feeling a part of the action.

A short video of what I meant about the floppiness of the Share. It doesn’t make it a bad toy in the slightest though. My sad silicone dildo just wanted some screentime. :)
