Sex toys are an absolutely fantastic part of your sex life, but they usually require you to use your hands to hold them in place for the best sensations. What if I told you that there were ways to use your sex toys entirely hands-free? Would you take immediate advantage of this simple way to improve your sex life? I bet you would.
There are a couple of ways to turn your sex toys into a completely hands-free experience. However, many of them may require purchasing accessories or add-ons for your toys. This isn’t a bad thing – and in many cases, these add-ons or accessories will work for more than one type of toy, so you’ll have the flexibility to choose exactly what toy you want to use it in!
To help you figure out how to use your sex toys hands-free, I’ve listed some options here in order from easiest to hardest.
Purchase a Hands-Free Toy
Want the easiest way to explore hands-free sex toys? Simply buy a hands-free sex toy to start. By choosing sex toy styles that are designed for hands-free use, you bypass the need to figure out how to make it hands-free. It already is!
“Okay, but Mistress Kay,” you say. “WHAT toys are hands-free?”
Glad you asked!
Some common “hands-free” categories of sex toys include:
- Panty/underwear vibrators
- Egg-style vibrators that slide inside the vagina with a “tail” left outside the vagina (these toys are not anal safe!)
- Grindable/saddle-style vibrators
- Kegel exercisers
- Anal beads
- Cock rings – including the vibrating variety
- Butt plugs – including the vibrating variety
- Some prostate massagers – including the vibrating variety
- A few penis vibrators
In action, that looks like toys like these:
Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
- 1: Nexus Simul8 Prostate Massager. Two vibrating motors with a hands-free, cock-ring-anchored design.
- 2: Lovense Ferri Panty Vibrator. A powerful magnet holds the vibrator in place on any pair of undies.
- 3: Orion VibePad 3 Saddle Vibrator. This “sit-on” vibrator can simply be sat on for pleasure!
- 4: Lovense Lush 3 Insertable Vibrator. This g-spot vibe slides into the vagina for hands-free vibrations.
- 5: b-Vibe Snug Plugs Butt Plugs. Available in a gigantic range of sizes, these weighted plugs are designed for all-day, hands-free wear.
- 6: Lovense Gush Penis Vibrator. Using the included loop, this penis vibrator can be fastened onto the shaft for hands-free vibrations.
- 7: Evolved Undercarriage Balls Vibrator. Behaving a bit like a cock ring, this vibrator’s loop holds it on the shaft and on top of the balls for sensations that don’t require a hand.
- 8: Evolved Gyro Dildo. This gyrating, self-thrusting dildo has a powerful accordion-style suction cup for hands-free riding.
- 9: Hot Octopuss Jett Penis Vibrator. The “cock ring” style straps two large, powerful vibrators onto the shaft which can be controlled by the included, corded remote.
This list doesn’t include sex toys that are effort-free – but still require a hand. For example, the KIIROO KEON is a high-powered sex machine that moves a penis stroker up and down on the penis. However, it doesn’t magically float, so it still requires the user to hold onto the machine while the machine does all of the work. (Here’s my KEON review for more info.) The Fun Factory Sundaze is a thrusting vibrator with the same idea; it does the “work”, but a hand still needs to hold it.
Explore the Possibilities of Sex Toy Mounts
I get it: purchasing a brand new sex toy isn’t within the budget of everyone out there, and even if it is, there are only a few types of sex toy categories that are actually designed to be hands-free. If you already own a sex toy you dream of using hands-free – or want to use a different type of toy (like a wand massager or dildo), I still have some awesome options for you.
The easiest pre-made, reliable option is a sex toy mount.
Essentially, a sex toy mount is a piece of sex furniture that’s designed to mount a sex toy within it for hands-free use. You know what? It’s just easier if I show you:
See?
The design of the sex furniture itself anchors your sex toy in place and allows you to use it without your hands. Most pieces of sex furniture do this one of two ways: through the magic of a durable layer of fabric or through dense, firm, grippy foam.
Let’s take our above BonBon example (because I’m lazy) to explore how sex toy mounts work.
If you use a dildo with a flared base, you simply tuck the base of the dildo underneath the thick cover fabric. Since the base of your dildo will squish and bend while you’re shoving it into place, you can get it into the hole. Once the dildo is securely inside of the BonBon, the flared base will function as a stopping point to keep it from sliding out of the furniture while you ride it.
If you use a sex toy without a flared base, you’ll simply use the strength of your arm (and even body weight, if you’re an overachiever), to shove that sex toy deep into the specially-designed hole. Since your ass or vagina isn’t going to exert nearly that much upwards grip, it will stay in place while riding the toy.
(And as someone who removes toys from her BonBon regularly, let me tell you that it requires two-foot and two-hand’ing it. I have to sit, hold the BonBon shape between my feet to anchor it, and use both hands to pull out the toy itself to get it out. That thing is secure! You can see even more details about how to use the Liberator BonBon here.)
The Liberator BonBon allows for dildo and vibrator usage while the Liberator Fleshlight Mounts (like the Liberator Top Dog Mount and the Liberator On a Mission Fleshlight Mount) will allow those with a penis to use Fleshlights entirely hands-free.
The biggest downsides of sex toy mounts? They can be the cost of a new sex toy and you still have to store the buggers. As the Liberator BonBon is the size of a medium box, it isn’t as simple as hiding a dildo. Depending on what sex toy mount you choose, your mount can be as large as a mini fridge or as small as a computer monitor.
(If you’re extremely space-conscious, go with the Liberator Humphrey or Liberator Tula. The Humphrey doubles as a pillow while the Tula has one of the smallest sex toy mount footprints.)
On the upside, you don’t need to buy a new sex toy, and once you own a sex toy mount, it can work with pretty much all of your sex toys, so you don’t need to rebuy it again.
So once you have a sex toy mount, you’ll have a hands-free solution for every other dildo you ever buy. It’s hard to argue with that.
Sex Toys Hands Free: Use a Thigh Harness
You might know that I love thigh harnesses for pegging play, but they’re actually super useful for hands free dildo play too.
Instead of wrapping that thigh harness around a thigh, get a firm, fluffy pillow and wrap it around that. With the thigh harness in place, you can strap a dildo onto your pillow.
I consider this the “workaround” for something like a Liberator BonBon. The BonBon will have a whole lot more support and firmness to it, but a thigh harness is a lot cheaper.
You might need to fold that pillow over or experiment with multiple pillows if you’re hoping to get a firm, deep dicking with that dildo, though!
Utilize that Suction Cup!
Depending on what type of toy you’re looking to use, your sex toy may already be equipped with a perfect accessory for hands-free pleasure: a suction cup.
Some dildos have a suction cup built into the base while others may have an optional way to add a suction cup. (For Vac-U-Lock and hole-in-the-base-for-a-bullet-vibrator dildos, there are hands-free dildo attachments available that easily will add a suction cup to your toy)
Keep in mind that dildo suction cups are not made equal. They may keep the dildo adhered to a flat floor, but they may not be able to hold the dildo up while on a wall.
Most people who want to be rough (or do lots of hip grinding!) may find that their suction cup isn’t quite strong enough to keep up with the intensity of their play.
Use a Suction Cup Mount
Have one of those “boring”, standard dildos without a suction cup?
Get an attachment that has the suction cup instead!
The Uncover Creations Suction Cup Mount is JUST the suction cup. You simply adhere your standard, flat-base dildo to the suction cup for a hands-free way to ride your favorite dildo.
Making it even easier to use it wherever you want, the Uncover Creations Suction Cup is mounted onto a flexible slab of silicone that includes two straps. These straps allow this slab of silicone (and its accompanying suction cup) to fasten to pillows, thighs, forearms, and furniture, turning your “everyday” into a protruding, rideable dildo.
Use Your Nearest Wall
It isn’t the most glamorous, and it’s prone to readjustment, but you probably already have a wall, so put it to good use!
Instead of masturbating sitting at your computer desk, move your masturbation to the wall. Scoot your ass up to the wall, and use the firm surface of the wall to force any penetrating toys to “stay” within the body, freeing up your hands. This can work great with anal and vaginal toys that are prone to sliding out.
Secure the Toy to Yourself
Harnesses are kinda awesome. Not only do they look hot, but they can also be functional for strapping things onto your body – and that includes hands free vibrators, hands free dildos, and hands free Fleshlights.
Something like the Aslan Forced Orgasm Belt can fasten a wand massager between the thighs for hands-free play. This option, for the Lovense Domi 2, offers similar functionality, but it fastens to the thighs instead of the hips.
DIY Your Own Sex Toys Hands Free Solution
If none of these solutions work or you want something cheaper, you can potentially make your own solution for more amazing sex!
We’re talking things like:
- Slip a penis masturbation sleeve between two couch cushions.
- Buy a cheap pillowcase, cut a hole in it, and slide a dildo through it.
- Use some bondage rope to tie a harness to a dildo or vibrator to anchor it onto an object.
- Curl up with a rolled up pillow pushed snugly between your legs while the toy is up against your body. With the pillow pushed up against the base of the toy, you can help keep the toy in the right spot.
- Use saran wrap to “wrap” the toy around the body part where you’d like the toy to stay. This can be finicky and sweaty, but it can work!
- Consider masturbating on your tummy with the toy wedged between your body and the surface you’re laying on.
- If you’re trying to use a penis vibrator on an erection, consider ribbon or elastic hair ties to “fasten” it to the penis.
- If you’re trying to use a flat sex toy, it can be placed on top of the arm of a couch/sofa and straddled.
These solutions will require experimentation to get “right”, and in many cases, they may not be quite as stable as their purchasable counterparts. With a bit of creativity, though, you can find a hands-free solution that will work within your budget.
Use a Toy-Specific Accessory
Some toys are specifically designed with purchasable accessories that will allow you to take your pleasure hands-free.
For example, some penis masturbation sleeves have a desk, table, or shelf mount that will allow you to fasten it to a piece of furniture. (Like in the How to Improve Your Fleshlight Experience article).
Some vibrators may offer something similar.
If you know your sex toy has these optional accessories, it may work well to give them an experimental shot.
All you need is a bit of creativity, and you’ll find a way to use your sex toys without having to use your hands. Feel free to send an email if you have suggestions on what did or didn’t work for you!
