When you pick up a sex doll for the first time, you quickly realize one thing: its dead weight and squishy flesh do not make it a friendly companion for many common positions. Instead, swapping over to specific sex doll positions can make your love doll experience a better one.
When you’re with a human partner, the other person pulls their weight in some fashion. They may not be able to hold all of their weight, but they’re actively participating, taking some of the weight off of your plate.

So today, I’m going to introduce you to some of our favorite sex doll positions. In many of these, the doll holds its own weight, letting you focus more on enjoying yourself and the visuals of sliding into your new toy.
From “easiest” to hardest, here are some of my favorite sex doll positions:
Kneeling with your Doll at the Edge of a Surface
By far, the easiest way to use your sex doll is by kneeling while it’s on a flat surface next to you at hip height. Place your sex doll on that flat surface, pulling its tunnel up against the edge of the surface, and you’re ready to slide inside.
To pull this off, though, you’ll need to find a surface that’s at penis height when you’re kneeling. Ideally, this surface will be on carpet too (to cushion your knees), but you can always toss a pillow or folded towel under your knees to add some staying power to this sex doll position. Some common options for the right kneeling height:
- A foot-of-the-bed ottoman
- A coffee table
- The seat of a chair
- The seat of a couch
This is one of my favorite sex doll positions because the doll is perfectly balanced on a flat surface, simply sitting there and waiting for you to use it. Because you’re entirely upright, you have full view of the doll, giving you eyefulls of bouncing cheeks or breasts. The doll’s butt or thighs can still press against you.
For those of you with mini dolls that might slide with the momentum, you can easily grip the doll’s “hips”, adding realism and helping the doll stay in place at the same time.
If you like to get messy, this can also be a great doll fucking position. Pick a surface that’s easy-wipe (like the seat of a chair), and you can paint the doll’s chest when you cum, easily wiping up anything that got on the surrounding area without much hassle. It’s a win-win!
Standing with your Fuck Doll at the Edge of a Surface
Adding a bit more intensity, you can take the same idea behind the kneeling position and choose to stand. Now, as you enjoy yourself and approach orgasm, you’ll have to hold your own body weight, but you won’t have to hold the doll’s weight.
As an added bonus, it can be a lot easier to get better thrusting momentum while standing. If your doll has jiggly butt cheeks or breasts, every thrust can release more of that visual.
Like the kneeling position, you’ll need to find a surface that’s at the correct hip height for your body. Some common options:
- A bed
- A dining room table
- A couch end table
- A countertop
- A bondage table
Titty Fucking
If your sex doll has breasts and you’re excited to slide between them, a standard kneeling position can work great.
Press the doll’s breasts together with a bit of lube, and slide between them.
Kneeling on a bed (or a couch, as shown) can be gentler on the knees.
If your doll is lightweight or small in size, you might find that your doll slides on the surface you put it on. If so, you can try to “sit” more of your weight on top of of the doll (i.e. go between the breasts from the stomach side versus the neck side) or experiment with new surfaces or locations to see if another option is less slippery.
Just make sure to prepare if cumming is in your future. You don’t want to spurt all over your couch cushions without any protection. At least, not if you want easy clean-up.
Sex Doll Positions: The Classic Spooning
While spooning is considered an “easy” sex position in general, it’s a bit harder than the sex doll positions above it because of the friction of your bed. Spooning, in general, is going to be easier for your body to hold than standing (you’re literally just lying on your side!), but the sex doll doesn’t have the ability to tilt its hips, scoot back into you, or otherwise adjust itself.
That means that spooning can require some manual labor on your end. Depending on how slippery your bedding is and how heavy your doll is, this may mean manuevering a 75 pound slab of material into the correct “position” and simultaneously holding it there, ensuring it doesn’t tip forwards.
This can take more conscious attention and muscular endurance than simply putting your sex doll on a flat surface.
To help you out, I’d recommend stuffing pillows on the other side of the sex doll. These stuffed pillows can help prevent the sex doll from rolling away from you, reducing how much you need to muscle the doll to keep it in place.
If you can get the positioning down, though, sex doll Spooning can be an easy position to maintain for long, drawn-out, intimate sessions.
As a quick tip, if the doll is too low for easy, comfortable penetration, fold up a thick blanket and stick it underneath the doll. It can be a little “bolster” to give the doll extra height.
The Cross
This doll sex position is even more difficult than Spooning. In Spooning, one side of the doll still rests against your torso. In the Cross, the sex doll is at a 90-degree angle from your hips, meaning it can tip over to either side. Yay, unpredictability!
On the bright side, entering the doll can be a lot easier. It’s less difficult to get the angles to line up if you want to use the anal/vaginal hole if you’re at a 90-degree angle. Just pick your fave and have a great time.
To help prevent the doll from falling forwards or backwards, you have a few options. You can put the sex doll on its back, making it more stable. This can make the holes harder to access though (put a pillow under the doll if it will help!). Alternatively, stuff pillows in front of (and in back of) the doll, helping hold it in place while you enjoy yourself.
(Depending on where you get your info, this doll sex position is either the Cross, the Crossed Spoon, or the Spork.)
Sex Doll Positions: The Classic Missionary
Missionary is more physically strenuous than simply kneeling, lying, or standing upright, but it’s generally considered a more “approachable” option than other sex positions.
To explore this common sex doll position, lie your sex doll onto a bed or the floor. Crawl over top of it, sliding inside, supporting most of your weight on your knees and your arms.
If you have a lightweight doll, you may need to experiment with location to really enjoy this. If your doll is very lightweight or on a slippery surface, it can slide forward, millimeter by millimeter, with every thrust. Eventually, it’ll be so far forward that you’ll need to readjust all over again.
If you’re finding that, try a less slippery surface (cotton sheets vs satin, for example), stuff a pillow between your arms to give the top of the doll something to press up against instead of moving forward, or consider using a heavier sex doll.
While this is one of the common sex doll positions, I wouldn’t call it one of my favorites. It can be hard to really “see” the sex doll like this – especially if your doll isn’t a full-sized torso. You’ll still get the feel of its flesh firm and trapped beneath you, and that can be hot, but some of the visuals may not be there.
Still, it’s personal preference, and you may find that Missionary ends up being one of your favorite sex doll sex positions.
Sex Doll Over the Arm of your Couch
If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous and “primal” without feeling too stressful, a couch with arms can help.
If you have one, simply lay the hips of the sex doll on the arm of the couch while the chest of the doll lies on the couch seat itself. This, essentially, props all of the doll’s holes upwards, making it easy for you to slide inside.
You can then lean forward, sliding into the doll, with a “I’m taking you vibe” that feels hot but simultaneously doesn’t require you to grip any of the doll’s weight.
Use the back of the couch to help prop yourself up, or use your core while gripping onto the sex doll’s hips. If your couch arm is really low, you can also put your arms onto the seat of the couch, next to the doll’s neck.
Standing with the Doll Against the Wall
Fucking a heavy sex doll that can’t hold its own weight can be hard.
But standing sex positions can be hot.
Using your sex doll up against the wall can help a little bit.
Instead of fully relying on just the strength of your arms, you can push the doll’s weight into the wall, partially trapping the doll’s weight between your own body weight and the wall. This can take some of the pressure off of your arms.
Even so, this is a serious workout, and it’s really only accomplishable by some of the lighter-weight sex dolls.
Make sure your hands are free of lube, and make sure to put down the doll, safely, before your arms fatigue too much. Having 50 pounds of sex doll weight fall to the floor, with your dick inside, is REALLY going to hurt.
This sex doll position is really best if it’s meeting a current fantasy. It’s not going to be the most efficient or pleasurable, but if you’re craving a workout with your doll, it can work.
Big caution with this one: Your sex doll doesn’t have human skin. If a human lover rubbed a spot raw from the friction, their skin will regrow. Your sex doll’s will not. Ensure you aren’t pushing the doll TOO firmly into the wall, the wall is as smooth as possible, and you’re holding up as much of the doll’s weight as possible. Otherwise, you might find that you’ve rubbed off some of the TPE material, leaving a less-smooth, visually broken look on your doll. The same goes for your fingernails! Make sure you’ve trimmed your fingernails ahead of time; if you accidentally dig your nails into the doll’s flesh to help hold it, you WILL leave fingernail holes!
Sex Doll Positions: Lying Cowgirl
Oooooh, this is a HARD one.
You’re going to have the best success with this if you have a firm, lightweight doll. Every single thrust you want to do with the doll will require you to pull the doll up and slide it back down. If your doll’s difficult to grasp or too heavy to do this on repeat (like if it’s a 50 pound doll), this will be extremely difficult. Even if you can pull off sex doll cowgirl position, you’re probably going to find that you transition into an easier position for the bulk of your fun.
To help, while in this lying down position, you do have access to your legs. Do a hip thrust with each “thrust” to help propel the doll away from your shaft, letting your arms and legs share in the effort here. It’s still hard, though. Don’t get me wrong.
Keeping the lube on your hands to a minimum is vital for success here. If your hands are slipping and sliding on a 50 pound “weight”, you’re going to be frustrated – not feeling fun. You might consider using disposable gloves to lube up your shaft and the doll’s interior. That way, you can strip them off before the “main event”, making for dry hands that can better grip the doll’s surface.
If you have access to it, something like a sex bench can help support some of the doll’s weight for you. However, again, the sex doll doesn’t have human skin. If any of the sharp edges press into the doll’s flesh, it may slice the doll permanently.
Seated Cowgirl
You can make Cowgirl even harder by sitting upright (in this case, you can see it’s on the couch).
Whereas you could use your legs and hips to help the thrust in a lying Cowgirl, you lose that possibility with the seated version. You’re just straight up picking the doll up – and down – with every thrust. This is hard – probably the hardest doll sex position you’ll ever try to accomplish.
