UPDATE FEBRUARY 2022: The Sohimi Rose Queen is no longer in production. However, you can still find this same style in the Bloomgasm Suction Rose.

A play off the ever-popular Rose vibrator out there, the Rose Queen vibrator is the same Rose vibrator you know and love – but with a vibrating, insertable handle attached to the bottom of it.

This means that you end up with an air suction tip and a vibrating insertable toy – all in one single toy.

The Rose Queen vibrator is covered in a silky smooth silicone that your fingers glide over. Inside of this silicone, it feels like the internal body is made from a rigid plastic.

The Rose Queen features two magnetic charging connection ports on the backside of the vibrator at the same level where the buttons are (but on the opposing side). This allows the USB charging cable to connect to the vibrator. A full charge provides a full hour of use time. Getting to that full charge takes 2 hours.

This magnetic charging design also makes the Rose Queen IPX7 waterproof. I put it under running water constantly while cleaning it, and it has zero issues with it.

As long as you use the Rose Queen’s Rose suction end with a light hand, the vibrating handle can be used as a handle to position the Rose suction in place. If you start applying pressure, the handle can (and does) easily bend, so this may not be the accessibility option for an air suction toy depending on how you use your air suction vibrators.

How to Use the Rose Queen Vibrator?

The Rose Queen Vibrators design reminds me a bit of the new gender-neutral category of vibrators. Sohimi doesn’t advertise it that way (and in fact, just uses lingerie-clad women to advertise it), but this is one of those toys that could be used between partners to pleasure both partners with their unique anatomies.

Some ways that the Rose Queen vibrator can be used:

  • Clitoral air suction vibrator: The rose tip works fantastically for sucking on the clitoris. It’s really what it’s designed for.
  • Penis air suction vibrator. Similar to the Arcwave Ion, the air suction sensations can be applied to the frenulum if you have a penis. It’s not designed for the unique shape of a penis, but it can work.
  • Nipple air suction vibrator. The air suction tip can feel pleasurable on the nipples as well. It’s never been huge for me, but I know some people enjoy it.
  • Insertable vaginal dildo. The slender “handle” easily inserts into the body. The tapered tip makes that even easier.
  • Insertable anal dildo. Keep a firmer hold on it, but the thicker, Rose “base” should allow this toy to be relatively safe for anal pleasure as well as long as you aren’t regularly using toys at a much thicker diameter than the Rose base.
  • External clitoral vibrator. Instead of insertion, use the “handle” of the toy as an external vibrator – and moving the toy around by the easy-grip Rose tip.
  • External vibrator anywhere. Then you can really just use those same vibrations anywhere on the body. Penis, anus, nipples, etc. It’s easy to move around, and it offers vibrations. Just matters on where you want those vibrations.

It’s worth noting that it isn’t necessarily the best choice if looking to achieve some of those pleasure sensations. The Rose Queen is really designed for insertable vibrations and air suction clitoral pleasure. That’s it. However, if you’re on a limited budget and need something that can be used for different sensations without the ability to get other toys, it can work for those activities.

What Did I Like the Rose Queen Vibrator For?

As noted above, if I had a specific “goal” in mind, the Rose Queen isn’t necessarily going to be my first choice. While it offers so many options in a single toy, it doesn’t necessarily “excel” as the first-choice in any of those options. For example, if I wanted air suction, I’d go with the Womanizer Plus. If I wanted an insertable vibrator, I’d probably use the We-Vibe Nova 2. If we were looking to pleasure a penis with air suction, it’d be the Arcwave Ion.

This doesn’t make the Rose Queen Vibrator a bad choice though – or a bad toy. Its strength lies in the fact that it does so many different things in a single, low-priced toy. There was no need to bring a vibrator, a stroker, a dildo, and an air suction toy to the bed. The Rose Queen offered a ton of different sensations in a single toy. Especially if I wasn’t a sex toy hoarder who had all of those options, the ability to pick up just the Rose Queen – and still be able to use it for so many different things – is fantastic.

I’ll admit that we’re also somewhat smitten with the “handle” on this one as an insertable. It just works so well! The slender diameter makes it slide in really nicely while the tapered tip helps as well. It has a nice swell to it near the tip that makes it feel nice and filling – and pleasurable while it moves around inside. The silicone is super-smooth, and it just takes a bit of lube to get it sliding into the body really easily. Plus, the plastic underlying material means that the toy is extremely rigid and solid, so it doesn’t really squish or give under pressure. The handle as a dildo – with no vibrations – is actually probably one of our favorite parts of this toy.

Sohimi Rose Queen Vibrator review. The vibe is pressed into the table to show where the bending point is along the shaft.

With that in mind, it’s worth knowing that there’s one non-rigid part on the Rose Queen, and you can see it in my pictures. About half-way up the shaft/handle of the Rose Queen, the toy has a very squishy, bendable half-inch. This allows the handle to bend really easily. It doesn’t quite hit a 90-degree bend, but it can make it to a 45-degree bend with ease. The picture really shows the limit of where the “bend” is.

I’m not actually sure why that exists. It gets in the way of me using the vibrator more than it helps, but it’s worth noting that it’s there. I’m someone who loves pressure for pleasure. So when I try to use the vibrating handle to enjoy clitoral pleasure, I press the toy more firmly against myself. Instead of getting the firmness I want, the handle actually bends – which is part of the reason we don’t use this much for the external vibrations. It’s nice that it has some bendability (especially if someone else gets to enjoy that), but it isn’t a great fit for how I like to use my vibrators.

What about the Power of the Rose Queen Vibrator?

The Rose Queen vibrator is moderate in power. It isn’t super-powerful, but it isn’t wimpy either.

The air suction side of the Rose Queen vibrator is my favorite side out of the two powered sides. It offers a bit more power, and it actually does seem to offer some suction. It’s easiest to feel at the lower power intensities (the higher power intensities can feel a bit like vibrations).

The vibrating handle is slightly more powerful than average – but the control structure gets annoying. Since the Rose Queen Vibrator only has a single button to control vibrations, getting through the 10 vibration modes can be aggravating. There seem to be 3 levels of steady vibration – then 7 patterns. If you want more power while on the highest setting and forget you’re on the highest setting, you’re going to blast right through steady vibrations and go into patterns. You then can stop and turn off the vibrator (and turn it back on) to get back to Square 1 of low steady vibrations. Or you can attempt to scroll through all 7 options and make it back to the steady vibrations.

Either way, you’re probably going to take a short break from the pleasure you’d been enjoying.

It’s just one of those cases where I’d say that “more” isn’t better here – at least with a one-button control.

However, when you’re enjoying those vibrations, they are above-average in intensity and on the buzzier side of things. They were not enough for me to easily orgasm. If the toy was rigid and didn’t keep bending on me, it might have been a bit easier, but the vibrations definitely didn’t make it easy. I tend to prefer stronger, rumbly vibrations, though, so that may just be a poor fit for me.

How Loud is the Rose Queen Vibrator?

Sohimi’s marketing materials say the Rose Queen has “zero noise”. As you could probably guess, that’s absolute bullshit. (I’m generally pretty tired of manufacturers drastically overselling points of their sex toys. I think we’d all be happier, more satisfied, consumers if manufacturers would be honest about their pros and cons – even if they chose to push the good parts a bit more heavy-handed.)

That being said, it is NOT a loud toy. It’s not zero noise, but if you have music on with a closed door, the likelihood that someone is going to hear your toy outside of your room is relatively slim.

Oddly enough, the air suction actually gets louder when it’s pressed up against a body. It’s much quieter away from a body – which is the opposite of how most air suction toys run. The air suction is definitely the louder of the toy, and it sounds like a pulsating, rhythmic noise. I can definitely hear it in a quiet room – but with music a bit turned up, the noise of it disappears.

The vibrations are slightly louder than the We-Vibe Tango X but not by much. In a silent house, with the vibrator between my legs, I can hear a gentle humming, but it would be relatively easy to pretend it was the air conditioning; it’s that quiet.

How to Control the Rose Queen Vibrator?

The Rose Queen Vibrator offers two buttons on the shaft of the vibrator. One button controls the vibrations and the other button controls the air suction functionality. Both sides can be turned on simultaneously, and the buttons are pretty much always easy to access unless you happen to have inserted the toy fully while using it as an insertable.

Just press and hold a button to turn the vibrator on and off. And single-press to scroll through all of the functions while the toy is on.

When on, the buttons are backlit illuminated. This can make them easier to find in the dark. The brightness isn’t annoying or too bright.

Final Thoughts on the Rose Queen Vibrator Review

If you like the look of the Rose vibrator that everyone is gushing about – but with it offered more ways to play, the Rose Queen vibrator is an a-okay choice. The air suction isn’t the most powerful (but you shouldn’t expect it to be for 1/4th the cost of most air suction toys) and the insertable vibrations aren’t the most powerful (but again, 1/4th the cost of most silicone vibrating dildos).

BUT it’s body-safe, works how it claims to work, and it does provide an insertable toy, a vibrator, and an air suction vibrator with a handle – all in the same toy. The unique design means that the Rose Queen vibrator can go from air suction pleasure to an anal insertable to a clitoral vibrator – in mere minutes. And that’s something that’s hard to find in most other types of toys.

If the shape appeals to you and you don’t need a lot of power, the Rose Queen seems to be an a-okay choice for your next pleasure vibrator – especially if you’re on a budget and want something that can help you experience multiple, different types of pleasure in a single toy.

Summary

The Rose Queen vibrator adds even more pleasure options to the standard “Rose vibrator” that everyone is talking about these days. With a long “handle” that also happens to work as an insertable vibrator, a single toy offers a few more ways to play without sacrificing the air suction of the rose-shaped tip.

Neither end of the Rose Queen is “best in class” at what it does, but with a toy like this, you don’t really expect that – especially at this price point. Instead, the Rose Queen provides an easy-to-use variety of sensations in a single toy.

Whereas getting a “best in class” air suction toy and vibrating dildo would run you over $300, you can enjoy the Rose Queen for much, much, much less – and that’s where it really excels.

If you like the idea of having a toy that can be a dildo, vibrator, and air suction toy all-in-one, and know you don’t need power at the top of the available sex toy range, the Rose Queen can be a great fit.
