Nothosaur Vortima Review

The Nothosaur Alla and Vortima sit out next to one another on the floor. They are color-matched, and they look like a really hot tentacle monster set. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

There are just tentacles all over the place in my toybox lately. My partner has always had a thing for tentacles, and honestly, I think they’re pretty cool too. Until now, it’s always been tentacle dildos, but the magic of the creative minds at Nothosaur have finally expanded my tentacle-loving capabilities. That’s why I want to showcase this Nothosaur Vortima review.

The Vortima isn’t a dildo. In fact, it’s an….anti-dildo? Well, it’s a penis stroker. Inside of sliding the Vortima into an orifice, you slide your shaft into the open orifice of the Vortima.

This stroker is made entirely from silicone. It’s the same high-quality silicone that every other Nothosaur toy is made from; this makes it phthalate-free, body-safe, and most importantly, sanitizable.

The Nothosaur Vortima measurements are:

  • Length: 7.5″ (internal channel length is exact same length and fully textured throughout the full 7.5″ length)
  • Circumference your Hand Needs to Grip Around (Outside Circumference): 10″
  • Diameter of Full Stroker’s Size: 3.4″
  • Internal Diameter (unstretched): 1″
  • Internal Diameter (mostly stretched; this is more of an estimate as I can’t stretch the stroker super well while also measuring it): 2.5″ (but VERY stretched and would be very tight on a peen) but 1.75″ with a comfortable stretch
  • Weight: 1.76 pounds

If you love tentacles, you’ll be happy to know that the Vortima’s beautiful tentacle texture is the same both inside and out. Those same rows of immensely-detailed tentacles on the outside are the same that you’ll get on the inside of the stroker, sliding up against your shaft.

My Nothosaur Vortima is custom-made to match my Nothosaur Alla for a ridiculously hot visual. Nothosaur offers custom colors and can do their best to match it to any other tentacle toys you have, so feel free to reach out to them to make your stroker dreams come true.

The stroker stands entirely upright without any help. The silicone is firm enough to allow the stroker to stay upright when placed on a flat surface.

Make the Tentacle Orgy of your Dreams

In fact, let’s talk about Nothosaur’s custom work.

Nothosaur is one of the few large fantasy dildo manufacturers left that will still take custom dildo requests.

That is, of course, assuming your needs aren’t met by their expansive product customization options at checkout. For most of their dildos, you can choose size, silicone hardness/softness, colors, and base attachments (like Vac-U-Lock holes). That’s already more-than-enough for most people looking to purchase a dildo or fantasy sex toy.

(And best of all if you ask my millennial brain, it’s all done easily at checkout without needing to call or email someone!)

This means you can have multiple tentacle dildos and tentacle strokers all in the same color scheme. Guess they all come from the same tentacle monster, right? ;)

If your needs go beyond that, Nothosaur is available via email to answer your questions, discuss whether color blends are possible, and more.

The camera lens looks straight down the inner channel of the Vortima. It looks like the same tentacle texturing that makes up the outside of the stroker is all along the inside of it too.

Mmmm, That Pleasure

So, the Nothosaur Vortima looks hot as hell. But does it feel just as erotic as it looks?

The answer is very much “yes”. The external tentacle texture you see on the outside is the very same texture you’ll enjoy on your shaft on the inside of the stroker. Yes, it’s tentacle pleasure all around.

With a gentle grip stroking the Vortima up and down, he finds it pleasurable, and it can get him to orgasm. Our Fleshlights feel more intense, but he still doesn’t have any issue getting off with the Vortima and minimal amounts of effort.

The “magic” comes in with the Vortima when you choose to squeeze. I’m not going to lie to you; squeezing the Vortima kinda feels like weight lifting with the fat grips on. The Vortima is just a thick stroker. Squeezing it for long periods of time works a lot of forearm muscles I didn’t even know I had, and I work out a lot.

My hand holds the Vortima. It is very thick, and my fingers can not close around it at all. They can barely close around one half of it. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

When you choose to squeeze, however, that internal tentacle texture feels even tighter around the shaft. It can be hard for me to maintain that squeeze, but the texture is A+ pleasurable. He can orgasm after just a few strokes once pressure is applied through the Vortima.

Realistically, though, the Vortima‘s claim to pleasure fame is going to be its delicious visual. Other “standard” strokers may have more complex textures, but they don’t look like a fantasy come to life with tentacles swarming around the shaft.

If the stroker was lighter and thinner, we’d probably consider this our go-to edging stroker. The gentler texture (when squeezing isn’t happening) plus the visual would make it really hot to craft a BDSM scene where a tentacle monster keeps you on the edge of orgasm for hours. ;) That remains a hot fantasy, as the stroker’s heft and thickness makes it a bit too hard to bring to life as my grip is exhausted after 15 minutes.

The Vortima sits on a kitchen scale. The scale's weight is visible. It is 1.762 pounds. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

Nothosaur Vortima Review: Keep the Lube Contained

My number one tip for using the Vortima is to keep the lube contained. If you can manage to keep all of the lube inside (and don’t have a lubed-up hand to start with), the Vortima is a one-handed stroker. It’s a hefty stroker, but even my smaller hands can keep hold the Vortima for a short session with a single hand when the toy is dry on the outside.

The danger comes in when you get a bit of lube on the outside of the Vortima. The Vortima isn’t a small stroker, and while it’s very, very textured, it’s also very wiggly. Its silicone material isn’t rigid; you’re feeling the squishiness of the tentacle design the whole time.

While this is a lovely addition to the experience (groping tentacles as they surround your shaft. ;) ), it also means that the stroker can get unruly if there’s lube on its outside. Instead of hands firmly gripping the exterior of the stroker, they’ll slide along its length.

"End" of the Vortima, showcasing the completely open-ended design of the stroker. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

If that happens, you can still use the Nothosaur Vortima, but it becomes a two-handed endeavor. Having both hands on the stroker spreads out the weight and allows you to get a tighter, fingers-interlaced grip, adding more friction on a lubed-up surface.

It’s worth noting that the texture inside the Vortima is the same texture on the outside. So remember that the same lube that makes the inside of your stroker so slippery and delicious can make the same texture on the outside slippery too.

The stroker is pushed firmly into the ground underneath it, allowing the stroker to fold entirely in half. The stroker is very, very flexible. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

The top of the Vortima is open (both ends have a hole in it), but we did not find that lube leaked out the top. This is probably because the Vortima is 7.5″ in length, and for the average penis length, the shaft wasn’t long enough to “push out” excess lube out the top.

So, for us, it’s simply a matter of being cautious while applying the lube AND making sure our hands are lube-free before picking up the Vortima to use. Mid-scene, this has meant washing our hands if we were stroking the penis before picking up the Vortima to use on it.

Nothosaur Vortima Review: Working on that Grip Strength

The biggest downside of the Vortima is simply how thick the walls of the stroker are. I think this might be required to make sure your silicone stroker is durable enough for years to come. (I have zero concerns about this stroker ripping or tearing. Those thick walls are almost an inch thick on all sides)

While this makes for excellent durability (again, this is not a cheap stroker that I’m afraid will rip), it does make for more difficult one-handed use.

That is, the stroker is decently heavy and it’s also pretty thick. I can use it with a single hand wrapped around it, but only for a limited time and if there’s no lube on the outside of the stroker.

Measuring the circumference, the Northosaur Vortima is 10″ in circumference around the middle where you’ll likely be holding.

If there’s lube on the outside of the stroker or I want to stroke for more than 15 minutes, this is definitely a two-handed stroker.

I wear Large first-aid gloves in women’s sizing. If you’re someone who has much larger hands (Large and above in men’s), you might not have as much of an issue getting your hand around the thickness of the stroker.

The stroker sits out at an angle, showcasing the impressive depth in texturing and design and coloring of the stroker. For my Nothosaur Vortima review.

Summary

If you’ve always wanted a tentacle stroker, the Vortima stroker is the first one I’ve ever seen. (I’ve taken it to 5 play parties now, and we’ve had a ton of interest every time. No one else has seen one before either!)

The visual of the Vortima is hot AF – especially if you color-match and pair it with other tentacle options from Nothosaur. You can literally bring a tentacle gangbang fantasy to life with all of their options.

If you’re going for a quick jerk-off session, you’ll love the Vortima. Squeeze the sides, and that same tentacle texture with massage your shaft as if those spindly tendrils are wrapped horizontally around you. The texture is orgasmic but not overly-so. You can orgasm when you want with a squeeze of a hand, but you won’t be fighting off shooting your load as soon as you slide inside of it.

However, due to the thickness and weight of the stroker, long edging sessions with it can be difficult. Especially if you’re someone who uses your secondary hand to browse porn, you’re going to have a hard time keeping the Vortima as a one-handed endeavor past 15 minutes or so.

As long as your tentacle fantasies don’t include an evil tentacle overlord with a penchant for keeping their captives on the edge of orgasm, though, the Vortima is a godsend of a stroker that can really bring the hentai you’ve seen to life.
