The remote control of the Hot Octopuss Pulse Solo Lux is flawless. It responds to my commands within seconds, and I can easily turn the toy on and off with no problem. I love the watch-band style. Everything about the Lovense Hush 2 was crafted for a seamless public play experience. As a standard, egg-shaped vibrating butt plug, he enjoys its shape, but it doesn’t lead to the same “oh my god” facial expressions and arousal of some of the prostate-focused toys on this list. It’s good for him, and he’d never say no to it, but it’s still a simple vibrating anal plug.
The only real “negative” I have for the Lovense Hush 2 is that we have their largest size. As such, I usually have to wait a bit for him to warm-up to comfortably and safely take its size. Once it’s in there, it stays in REALLY well, but what can I say? I’m slightly impatient on that one.
Don’t expect prostate orgasms with this one, but know you’re going into it with a powerfully-vibrating butt plug that stays in really well (with the larger sizes) and listens seamlessly to commands.
Public Play: The Hush 2 vibrates, so it does make noise, but it’s a softer vibration. We’ve played with this one in spots where there’s a medium level of background noise. The b-Vibe Rimming Plug is one of the first plugs that b-Vibe ever released. Actually, I’m going to say that I think it was their first product that they released when they came out as a company. Instead of just being a standard, vibrating butt plug, the b-Vibe Rimming Plug’s claim to fame are the massaging, rotating beads found in the retention area (that slimmest area around the base of the plug) of the plug. Those beads massage the anal entrance while the Rimming Plug is inserted. So you end up with a remote controlled butt plug that has powerful vibrations – but also offers massaging beads that pleasure at the exact same time. At the time, it was very revolutionary and no one had done anything like it. Since then, quite a few companies have copied their “Rimming” design.

The vibrations still make noise because vibrations, so ensure that you play with the b-Vibe Rimming Plug where there’s a bit of ambient noise. The b-Vibe Rimming Plug makes a bit more “noise” than your average plug due to the rimming beads along the shaft, so it won’t work in any sort of quiet environment. A sports bar has worked great for us, but we definitely had to flip it off when we took it to a small cafe and things were much quieter than expected.
Initially connecting the two is definitely not my favorite, but once they’re connected, they stay connected nicely. You just have to play the “hold buttons” game to get them both connected in the first place. I always, always forget what buttons need to be held and in what order, so it always requires referencing the instruction manual to get the b-Vibe Rimming Plug up and running.
The unique, torpedo-like shape of the b-Vibe Rimming Plug doesn’t lend itself well to staying constantly inside of the body. On my end, controlling it works fine, but it’s relatively one-note. You essentially turn on the rotations and let them do their magic, but without too much of a way to customize them (a rotating head is kinda, just, a rotating head. It isn’t going to do patterns or anything), you’ll find yourself not twiddling with the remote too much. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The remote control is responsive enough (it doesn’t respond sometimes) to work, but it doesn’t need to become a centerpoint of your play.
While I’d recommend Edge 2 above for public play, if your partner likes thicker anal toys, I’d highly, highly recommend this toy more for private, remote-controlled play. A fun twist on the standard anal plug, the Thump-It Butt Plug by XR Brands uses a weighted ball (inside of a tunnel) in the plug to make the Thump-It Plug literally thrust itself in and out of your body. It’s more like micro-thrusting than full-on thrusts, but it’s a very, very noticeable movement that other toys do not provide. Think about fully inserting a butt plug – then pressing your fingers onto the base and gently pushing it even further into the body which then causes the plug to come back to its comfortable “resting point”. That’s the micro-thrusting we’re talking about here.
The Thump-It Butt Plug comes with a hand-held, wireless remote to control the thrusting. It doesn’t offer any online or internet functionality. The Thump-It’s popularity, for us, is in how much he enjoys it. Its pounding and thrusting adds movement to his anal entrance in a way that virtually no other remote-controlled option does. He loves it, and by proxy, I love the reactions it gets.
If it didn’t feel so pleasurable for him, I probably wouldn’t enjoy controlling it so much. The reliability of the connection can be hit or miss (you really want to aim directly at the base), and the initial connection can take some button mashing to get the remote and plug to see one another.
(Full disclosure: We had to buy a second one. The first one’s remote control died about 14 months in. This is the only toy on the list where we have a second copy because the first stopped working.)
Public Play: The Thump-It, while pleasurable, is LOUD. You can wear the plug itself in public (it stays in really nicely), but you can’t turn it on in public. Wouldn’t Recommend These for Femdom Sex Toy Control
While I could just stick with the positives, I’ve gone through quite a few toys hoping for amazing remote control vibrators for men femdom control sessions.
Since I already dealt with the heartbreak, I figure I might as well save you that pain.
While many more remote control vibrators for men have gone poorly than just the below two, I feel like these are worth mentioning because they’re still very well-regarded toys and popular in the world of sex toys. Thankfully, quite a few of the ones that have gone horrendously badly have been discontinued by the manufacturer (who could guess why?).
Lovense Max as a Remote Control Vibrators for Men
The Lovense Max is a really nifty idea from Lovense – and was available before “online sex toy for men” options were available, so it was one of the first options in the sex toy sphere. The Max fits around the penis like a penis stroker, and the stroker tightens – and loosens – around the penis based upon the settings you have it on. This is designed to simulate a stroking motion – in addition to the vibrations that the Lovense Max is equipped with.
The Lovense Max has buttons on the toy itself, but it’s designed to be used with the Lovense app. Since Lovense is pretty well-known for their long-distance sex toys and long-distance online control of sex toys, it has a stable app to stand on despite some of Max 1 stroker’s issues. (Note my Lovense Domi 2 review and Lovense Gush review.). The Lovense Max 1 does not have any sort of physical remote – just the cell phone app that allows for local and online and long-distance sex toy play.

Summary
The Connectivity and Responsiveness of the Lovense Max are pretty darn good. It’s similar to other Lovense toys in that it does what you ask – when you ask.
The reason the Lovense Max regularly gets left in its box is purely from the noise. The “squeezing” sensation of the toy, for the stroking, is a loud, grinding noise that just drives me nuts. The sub will use it when he’s solo, but I rarely pull it out for play while I’m there. It’s noticeably louder than my loudest wand vibrator.
And honestly, now that we have the KIIROO KEON, this really just pales in comparison, so we don’t use it. It isn’t as pleasurable, it’s much-much-much-much more noisy, and it doesn’t provide as many good visuals. It does, however, connect and respond as nicely as the KIIROO KEON does.

Summary

We’re always looking for new prostate toys for public play, and while the Vector+ was a little slim for our needs, we were very down to try it.
It just wasn’t a great experience any of the 3 times we took it out.
