If you’re turned on by stockades and excited by the idea of bringing all of your stockade fantasies to life with a single piece of furniture, you’re going to want to read this Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory review.
This uniquely-shaped piece of bondage furniture is built with a modular design, allowing you to adjust angles, heights, and bondage possibilities with the help of a small wrench. Go from fully-standing bondage stockade positions all the way to kneeling or laying bondage positions. All-the-while, the bondage furniture platform rests on top of a set of four wheels, allowing you to move your captive from place-to-place.
This bondage furniture includes everything you need to get started right away (though a handheld wrench is very helpful for construction – not included).
Bondage-wise, this piece of bondage furniture includes a stockade as well as two additional metal, screw-on cuffs. These two metal cuffs fasten with pull-out metal sticks (on keyrings) that fasten the two halves of the cuffs together.
The Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory is designed to bind someone up to 350 pounds and a height of less than 6 feet, 2 inches. Presumably, if you’re slightly over this weight range, you may still be able to use some of the functionality of the pillory if you remove the wheels and avoid any positions where the pillory itself supports the majority of your weight. (i.e. Keep both feet flat on the ground with the captive’s own legs supporting most of their body weight.)
Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory Review: Putting It Together

This piece of Fetdom furniture will arrive at your home in discreet, boring packaging. The packaging was a bit beat-up from the journey (it’s heavy and UPS isn’t nice to it), but none of the pieces were broken or injured in any way.

Fetdom provides a PDF of instructions – though once my submissive understood the basic design, he was able to do most of it without really glancing at the PDF. If you run into any issues, the Fetdom team has always been really responsive via email, and they’ve even sent me videos in response to some of my past construction inquiries.

Ideally, you’ll want two people to put this together (AND any time you want to adjust its design). A lot of the pieces require you to fit a bolt in-between two heavy pieces of metal to fasten those heavy pieces together. Having someone else hold the weight while you poke the bolt into the holes until it clicks into place makes this so much easier.
However, my partner did most of the construction solo, only asking me to come over when they got frustrated by the heavier pieces that made it more difficult to do solo.
It is technically possible to do it solo. You just might need to get creative with using a shoulder or bench to prop things up.

Construction on this one is relatively simple. You build from the bottom up. It goes like:
- Place the wheels on the flat platform.
- Screw the flat, square-shaped base of the metal base onto the platform base.
- Bolt the bottom-most metal post onto the metal base. This bottom-most metal post can now move in 180-degrees from this square-shaped base.
- Attach the upper-most metal post with multiple bolts between your first metal post and your second one. This now allows the upper-most metal post to move 180-degrees around its attachment to the lower metal post.
- Attach the chest pad. (if desired)
- Attach the post for the leg cuffs (if desired). Thread the leg cuff spreader bar through the hole for the leg cuffs (if desired).
- Attach the stockade headpiece (if desired).
That’s it!
I’d say it took us less than an hour, start-to-finish. Now that it’s fully assembled and he understands how it all works together, adjustments to the positioning only take about 5 minutes.
The Basic Construction
A lot of the Multi-Position Floating Stockade is held together by long, strong bolts. These are literally bolts that you buy at the hardware store; they didn’t make proprietary bolts or attempt to dress them up in any manner. They’re high, construction-grade bolts designed for heavy loads.
These bolts, when safely secured in the Stockade, require a wrench to unfasten from the Stockade.

The only place where there’s an easy-fasten connection between pieces is on the stockade itself. The Stockade is fastened with two screwable knobs. You’ll likely leave one of the knobs permanently there there (to serve as a hinge) while using your hand to screw and unscrew the opened side of the Stockade to let your captive into it.

Otherwise, if you adjust any other part of the Multi-Position Floating Stockade, you’ll need to use a wrench to change the angles and positions.
Most of the pieces feel really solid. The only thing I’m really not fond of is the ankle cuffs. The included spreader bar forces the ankles into a dedicated spread, and the ankle cuffs are firm, unyielding metal. My two super-slender partners barely fit into the included metal cuffs, and both of them have had positions where the metal bit into the skin while using them. Once we’re done with this review, we’ll likely use different cuffs with this sex furniture, threading a chain through the cuffs’ original hole to fasten metal or leather cuffs instead. Leather cuffs (like included in our other Fetdom furniture) should cut down on metal pushing into skin.

It’s worth noting: throughout the 6-ish months I’ve owned this sex furniture and been testing it for my Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory review, we’ve noticed a lot of exterior paint flaking on the metal pieces. It looks like they were likely painted black. Anywhere there’s a lot of friction (like the joints), the paint has flaked off, showcasing the silver metal underneath. After toting the pieces to my car to take it to a party, my arms were coated in flaked-off paint.
With lots of heavy use, I would expect a lot more paint to chip off.

Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory Review: Unlocking New Positions
This heavy-duty piece of Fetdom furniture is designed to be modular. This means you can readjustable the various pieces of the Pillory to unlock new positions for play.
This modular design also means that it can fit a wide variety of body shapes and proportions. Since you can easily adjust the bend of the furniture and the placement of the cuffs, support bars, stockade, and resting pad, you can make this furniture work on most bodies.
While some positions may be remain out-of-reach if you’re particularly short or tall (since you can’t make metal longer or shorter), other positions are achievable regardless of height. This isn’t a piece of sex furniture designed for one thing and one thing only.
Adjusting the positions of the Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory requires a wrench. We just keep a small, basic, cheap wrench with the furniture for easy on-the-go adjustments. These bolts need to be snug when you’re done with them for safety; this wrench really helps.
While you technically could, you should not adjust the positions of the sex furniture while someone is bound to it. In order to change the positions, you need to remove all of the supporting bolts and fasteners. If someone is still bound to the furniture, this can be extremely dangerous. You can get away with moving the cuff or chest pad while someone is resting on the furniture, but if you want to adjust the angle of the metal support pieces, the bound partner will need to be entirely removed.
That’s why I’d recommend a quick trial test of any position before a BDSM scene with this. Let your bottom get onto the furniture and try it out before the scene begins. This lets you make the adjustments necessary for their body proportions before you’re mid-scene. Since you might need to pull out a wrench to make the adjustment, it makes sense to get it all out of the way before you both get into your kinky headspace.
This does require some pre-planning in your scenes. Do not expect to easily make position changes on the fly. From our experience during this Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory review, you need to ask your captive to get into the bondage position, see where the pieces don’t align, ask them to get off, and make the adjustments with the wrench. Rinse and repeat until you have a comfortable design for your captive.
While the actual adjustments themselves can be done in less than 5 minutes, I’d say that we usually spend about 10 minutes getting on (and back off) the furniture for adjustments before longer scenes. I want to make sure my submissive is comfortable enough in the furniture that we won’t have to end the scene early due to something silly like a leg cuff pressing into a leg uncomfortably.
Serious Bondage Possibilities!
The Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory offers (quite literally) hundreds of different ways to bind someone. Whether you want to use all those positions or whether they work for your bodies is another story, but if you can imagine it, you might be able to achieve it.
Here’s the example image that Fetdom uses to showcase some of the Fetdom furniture potential:

While the Pillory headboard piece is a central part of many of the positions that you can make, it is not required. The pillory headpiece unfastens from the rest of the furniture with a single bolt. This unlocks even more potential positions with the Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory as a literal bondage column sticking out from the ground.
Some of our favorite positions we’ve put it in for the Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory review:
Standing Tall for the Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory Review
Here, with the L-Shaped Metal Hinge fully straightened, your captive can stand up against it for bondage. You can add the pillory on top (which we did) to bind the head and wrists. We also added the ankle cuffs bar at the base – though it was a tight fit that required multiple repositionings to get it at the perfect comfortable height.
If we were going to use this for rough play, I’d want to remove the wheels on the base. It leaves the captive too susceptible to accidentally tipping over with sudden weight movement for me to want to keep the wheels on.
For play where the person is, essentially, just bound-up decoration for me to look at, it worked great with the wheels on. I did not wheel the person around on carpet, but when on hard floor, very small adjustments with my full attention worked out fine.
Experiment with the exact furniture set-up until you find the level of sadism desired. Placing the pillory headpiece up higher requires the captive to stretch up (uncomfortably). If the pillory is too tall for your use (the shown captive is 6 feet tall), you can also remove the pillory and add bondage points to fasten a collar or cuff onto the L-Shaped Metal Hinge.
Kneeling on the Ground

This is definitely my favorite position! By folding the L-Shaped Metal Hinge entirely into itself, you make a mini “spanking horse” design right on the base of the Floating Stockade platform. With the chest pad placed comfortably and the pillory in place, your partner essentially kneels on all fours on top of the platform.
This places the captive’s weight as close as humanly possible to the base of the platform and makes it impossible to tip over. This means I’m really comfortable rolling my captive around on this platform in this position. In fact, I’d say I almost get a bit careless with this one, shoving the platform with a single foot or otherwise getting to be a lot rougher than I would in any other position.

Making this a serious fantasy to take to a play party, when the L-Shaped Metal Hinge is folded in like this, it places a strong eyebolt right next to the captive’s face in the pillory. If you attached manufacturing-grade chains to this eyebolt, you could literally pull your captive around on this furniture. (The chain leash pictured is only for an example; you’d break the leash attempting to pull it with this flimsy chain!)
I really love that this position places their bum available for use. I can imagine a ton of hotel takeover or play party scenarios where this could fulfill someone’s “used as the party slut” fetish in a way they never knew was possible. Just roll them over into the kitchen or take them outside to the cigar area. They’d be literal sex furniture, and that’s just making my brain happy in the hottest ways.

It Travels: Wheel It Around
The Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory literally travels in multiple meanings of the word.
First off, it’s on wheels. Underneath the square-shaped base are four wheels. These wheels allow you to (literally) wheel the furniture around regardless of whether a human is on it.
In-between scenes, this makes it really easy to wheel this sex furniture around. If you have a crowded playspace and need something that can move around to give you walkways for other furniture and BDSM scenes, this is one piece of furniture that can do it easily.
For stability, these four wheels are located near the four corners of the platform. The platform feels relatively stable to walk on, and the wheels’ placement prevent the pillory from flying all over the place as soon as someone climbs on top.

Speaking of climbing on top, that’s the other big use for these four wheels: the Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory from Fetdom can be wheeled around while someone is bound on top of it!
If that has you feeling hot under the collar, there are a few things to note:
- If you want to wheel it with a human on it, I’d recommend kneeling positions. The balance point can feel a little wonky, and I worry about tipping with moving momentum if you have a six-foot person standing upright on the platform. It feels much more secure with someone kneeling or close to the ground. With someone all the way on their hands and knees, it’s very secure.
- There isn’t an easy “pushing” spot. This is also part of why I worry about it tipping. If you want to look Domme-ly and easily push this around while remaining upright, you’ll need to push somewhere, and there is no handle. That spot is probably some part of your partner (or the bondage furniture), and it places horizontal forces on the furniture far away from the flat, stable base.
- The wheels are not the most industrial wheels I’ve seen. They’re relatively small in size, and they feel a bit like office chair wheels. They don’t rival luggage cart industriousness. Their smaller size and occasional habit of getting stuck adds to needing to move this furniture slowly.
- It gets harder to move the heavier the load is – especially on carpet. You may find the wheels get stuck or don’t move freely.
- It doesn’t fit through doorways, so plan accordingly. (More below)
This means this Fetdom sex furniture piece is going to work best in large, open areas with non-carpeted floors in positions where the bound person is kneeling or closer to the base. If that describes the scenario you want to use it in, you’re going to be golden.
It’s important to note: When it’s fully assembled, it does NOT fit through doorways. We attempted to take it through multiple doorways, and the pillory headpiece board is too wide to fit through a doorway. The pillory headpiece needs to be removed from the rest of the furniture to get it through the standard doorways of both the dungeon and my modern apartment.
If you want to wheel someone sideways through a door to avoid the pillory issue, it’s possible, but the base is baaaaaarely narrow enough to fit. I had about a half-inch of clearance in the doors I’ve taken it through.
If the wheels scare you or you don’t want to use them, you simply don’t attach them when putting together the furniture. They are easy to remove, and they do not affect the usage of the furniture in any way if you don’t use them.

It Travels: Take It Somewhere Else
Second, the Pillory is intentionally modular. This means that it unbuilds into 3 portable pieces relatively simply. You essentially end up with:
- the stockade headpiece board
- the L-shaped metal hinge
- the flat platform base with the wheels and metal base on it
While the entire piece of furniture is pretty hefty, when you have this sex furniture piece pulled into the three chunks, each piece is pretty manageable if it’s the only thing you’re carrying. It’s definitely “three separate trips to your car”, but it’s not “I need a team lift” or “I’d be pissed off if I had to carry this up two flights of stairs”.
Speaking of, when pulled apart, all of the pieces fit easily into a sedan or SUV. The hardest part is being careful with the metal hinge piece if you left all of the hardware on it; you don’t want an errant screw or fastener getting ahold of your upholstery and ripping up your car.
This makes the Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory a fantastic fit for people who play in new locations often or want to travel with their gear. It really is one of the easiest pieces of BDSM furniture I’ve seen for portability. Even though it isn’t necessarily “marketed” at being travel-friendly, it’s noticeably more travel-friendly than some other pieces of sex furniture that include carry bags.
Putting it back together is pretty simple when it’s in these three separate chunks. Just place the base on the ground, fasten the L-shaped hinge into the base again (a few screws) and attach the stockade headpiece board again (one screw). You’re back in business within 5 minutes, and it’s not hard to do while solo.

Final Thoughts: Fetdom Multi-Position Floating Stockade Pillory Review
If you’re looking for an all-in-one piece of sex furniture that centers around a stockade, I can’t think of another piece of furniture that rivals this one from Fetdom. Completely customizable, this simple, sturdy design allows you to bring virtually any stockade-focused bondage position to life.
While I wish it were easier to make those changes (pulling out a wrench isn’t the sexiest of pre-scene prep), I applaud the design for being as sturdy and as safe as possible. There aren’t any weight-bearing plastic pieces here. It’s all industrial-grade metal to make this sex furniture as safe as possible.
The rolling wheels on the base are just an added bonus. They allow you to take the Pillory on-the-go with wheels that move smoothly on flat surfaces. While I worry about the stability of the platform if it’s off-weighted, we’ve had a blast using this on positions where the captive’s center of gravity is near the floor. I’ve actually had quite a few fantasies about it since discovering it.
All that’s to say: it’s a solid piece of BDSM equipment. While not all of the positions are for us, and I have a few nitpicks about some of the accessories and the necessity of a wrench to change out the positions, it seems built to last without the $3,000 price tag you’d assume. We’ve been keeping this one easy to access, and it’s already in the trunk of my car for a play party next month. ;)
