After seeing a note on social media about this one, I picked up “Enough to Make You Blush” – written by Princess Kali. Published by Erotication Publications, this book is 197 pages long, and it focuses entirely on the topic of erotic humiliation. After delving into the basics of erotic humiliation, it covers specific types of humiliation by separating each specific humiliation fetish into different chapters. The book is soft cover, printed in black and white, and doesn’t include any illustrations.
I was really looking forward to reading through what Princess Kali had to say. I’ve had multiple partners say that they’ve gone to presentations with Kali and found them extremely enjoyable and entertaining. I was hoping that the same personality she had with her in-person presentations would shine through in her writing – and it does. She has a fun, in-your-face type of writing that comes across as entertaining. She also has a clear interest in psychology and respecting vanilla’s boundaries as well – throughout the book she encourages you to be very respectful of non-participants as well as digging deeper into your partner’s humiliation fetish to figure out the basic motive that turns them on about their humiliation fetish.
Not only is the book pretty encompassing, but it’s also enjoyable to read – especially from a fellow female dominant perspective. I’m used to reading books that are written from a neutral standpoint – or a male dominant standpoint. It’s definitely a nice change of pace. Most of her first-hand stories are written from her time as a professional and non-professional dominant and usually include male submissives.
If the book had just stuck to humiliation “basics” and “how-tos”, I’d probably say that this book was mediocre. There are way too many fetish-related books that don’t seem to go into specifics – like ideas for a scene, how to incorporate a specific kink into other types of BDSM, and other various aspects. However, Princess Kali didn’t stick to the mediocre level – “Enough to Make You Blush” actually went way beyond my expectations for the book.
Instead, this book really went in-depth with various types of humiliation fetishes – which is good considering how many facets of humiliation exist and how personal humiliation is to every person. Some people are really going to be into financial domination and humiliation but will be entirely turned off by watersports. It really just depends on each person, and it’s clear that Princess Kali didn’t want to take a “vague” approach to the topic. While the book isn’t as detailed as humanly possible, it’s much more detailed than expected, and you can expect to get a good, more-than-brief overview of various types of humiliation.

For each one of the humiliation kinks, Princess Kali sticks to a pretty basic (and good) chapter formula. She’ll talk a bit about what the fetish is about, how it can be humiliating, will relate any of her own personal stories about playing with the kink, will talk about safety information for that kink, and then will give very specific ways to incorporate that type of humiliation into your own sexual adventure.
For example, when it comes to humiliation through nudity, she says you can:
-Do a physical “inspection” of the sub and focus on the feeling of exposure.
-Have the naked submissive stand as “art” while others have a meal or socialize.
-Use nipple clamps with bells to emphasize nudity. Clip onto nipples or genitalia.
-Pull their pants down and have them walk with their pants or skirt around their ankles.
-Use bondage to spread-eagle their legs to put them on forced display.
My only complaint is that the book includes a lot of “round table discussion”. It looks like Princess Kali posted a survey only somewhere about humiliation and what people like about it, and she’s taken the answers and placed them into the book in various areas. I don’t actually find that any of the answers were particularly interesting or helpful. I’m glad she wanted to include outside perspectives in the book, but it was something I skipped right over while reading the book.
Overall, if you have an interest in any type of humiliation play, “Enough to Make You Blush” is a must-have book. It’s mostly directed towards the dominant partner, but it still includes a lot of good information that a submissive-type could learn as well. The writing is entertaining, the book covers a large variety of humiliation kinks, and the book makes it easy to skip over any chapters that turn you off. It’s a fantastically done book.
