Silicone and equipped with multiple motors, the Embrace Silicone Body Wand Massager is sold by TooTimid. One motor resides in the “head” of the wand massager while the other motor lives in the base of the wand’s handle. Each motor is individually controlled by the buttons on the handle of the wand massager. The wand massager is entirely waterproof and rechargeable via the included USB cable. The wand massager is 8.75″ in total length with a head that’s about 2″ in width. The CalExotics Embrace Body Wand Massager comes with a one year warranty through CalExotics.
The Embrace Silicone Massager comes packaged in a nice, sturdy black box. This discreet black box is covered with a slipcover that provides information about the features of the toy on the backside of the box. Inside the box, you’ll fix the charging cable and the vibrator snugly packed into the foam liners specifically designed for their shapes. No further instructions or storage items are included with the vibrator. The packaging does provide simple instructions about vibrator use, however.
At first glance, the Embrace Silicone Wand looks like a standard wand massager. And to an extent, it is. It has a motor located in the head of the wand massager that offers vibrations – but it ALSO has a motor located in the base of the vibrator, near the handle, that’s separately controlled from the head’s motor. The entire vibrator is wrapped in silicone (with a plastic “metal” layer) – including the control buttons. The silicone is that nice, soft, silky silicone that your fingers will run over really nicely – and that will become pretty slippery with any type of lubricant or bodily fluids. Just something to keep in mind if using this wand as an insertable toy.
Once you’re past the first glance, you’ll notice that the massager is entirely rechargeable. The charging port for the vibrator is right underneath the two control buttons. The Embrace Wand Massager includes a USB charging cable. It takes the vibrator about 2 hours to go from dead to a full charge, and out of that charging time, you’ll get about 100 minutes of use on the high setting. This is about standard for most vibrators. It charges really easily without much of a problem.
Control over this massager is pretty easy too – but a bit odd. You have the two buttons on the massager. Each motor of the vibration is controlled independently, so you can choose to use only one side of the vibrator whenever you’d like. The first three presses of either button will cycle through steady vibration modes – Low, Medium, and High. If you continue single presses of the buttons, it will go through the various patterns the vibrator has. To turn off the vibrations from that particular motor, just hold down the button until the vibrator shuts off.
When it comes to the vibrations, the Embrace Silicone Body Wand Massager isn’t bad – but it isn’t great either. The vibrations don’t really compare to full-sized massagers like the Hitachi Magic Wand, but they’re also stronger than most average vibrators too. They can feel a bit buzzy and numbing if you use them for *too* long, but they’re definitely above-average in vibration strength. I’d say that some people will definitely be able to orgasm from the vibrations from clitoral stimulation – not all, though.
Of course, if you’re in a place where discretion is important, the vibrations aren’t particularly loud. In a room with music playing, it’s hard for me to hear while holding the toy. It’d be near-impossible outside of a closed door with any sort of background music at all. You won’t get away using this at a quiet restaurant, but at home with any sort of background noise? You’ll be fine. If nothing else, this wand massager is entirely waterproof, so it can play in the shower or bathtub as well.
So where would I recommend this vibrator? To be honest, its unique skillset is a bit odd. I don’t think there’s a single other wand massager vibrator on the market that boasts a motor for vibration in both the head AND the tip of the handle. It’s definitely a bit on the odd side – and depending on how you use your wand massager, on the “useless” side.
So who is this useful? Probably a couple of subsets of people. The first subset would be those who plan on trying some “double penetration” with their wand massager. It might be hard to accomplish, but if you and a partner want to “share” the vibrator with both ends inserted into a different person, having motors on both side of the vibrator make sense. Because the wand head side isn’t necessarily designed for insertion (but is still well-within a reasonable size someone could insert if they wanted), this might be an awkward attempt with the curvature of the handle on the opposite side. It’ll definitely take some messing around to get it right.
And the other subset of people? It’d be those people who don’t necessarily have the budget for multiple toys and want a workhorse of a wand massager. You can either use the wand massager head to enjoy the standard “wand massager” experience or if you’re feeling it, you can use the handle end as an insertable toy. With the handle’s curvature, depending on the location of your g-spot, you might even be able to reach it. It’s worth noting that the control button for the handle end’s vibration is located almost exactly 5″ away from the tip of handle. So you’ll probably only be able to get about 4″ of actual penetration and still be able to actually reach the button to control the vibrations of the end you’re playing with. So that’s worth keeping in mind.
The crafters of the Embrace Wand, which are California Exotic Novelties, wanted cleaning to be pretty simple for you. That’s why the massager is entirely waterproof. Warm water and anti-bacterial soap will clean up this massager pretty quickly. You’ll want to pay careful attention to the ledge underneath the head of the vibrator to get a thorough clean. In addition, if you’ve chosen to insert the handle, pay particularly close attention to the seam around the metal decoration; it’s pretty easy to accidentally let bodily fluids dry there. If choosing to use any lubricant with this massager, make sure to use water-based options. Silicone-based options may damage the material of the vibrator.
Overall, the Embrace Silicone Body Wand Massager isn’t a bad toy – it’s just a very niche one. If its particular uses are something that interest you, you might fall in love with the Embrace Silicone Body Wand Massager. But if you’re just looking for a powerful clitoral wand massager, there are definitely better options out there that aren’t quite as expensive; such as the Hitachi Magic Wand or the Magic Wand Mini. Thanks to TooTimid for providing this rechargeable wand massage for my Embrace Silicone Body Wand Massager review.
