BumpHer Pegging Pleasure Toy Review

BumpHer Strap-On Pleasure for Wearer Dildo Attachment - BumpHer Review

Let’s get into my Bumpher review. A perfect addition to anyone who wants more pleasure from pegging, the BumpHer is a silicone pegging bumper designed to make strap-on sex more pleasurable and comfortable for the harness wearer. With a design that wraps around the flared base of your current favorite pegging dildo, the BumpHer is 4″ in total height with a width of 2.75″ – perfect for fitting within the harness and against your skin. The BumpHer is designed to fit a variety of dildo bases all the way up to 3.25″ in total width. Once there, this strap-on buffer offers a soft, plushier surface in addition to target clitoral pleasure.

What is the BumpHer?

The BumpHer was designed to make pegging even more pleasurable. It accomplishes this through a couple of different ways. For one, the BumpHer offers a soft, plushy surface against the base of the dildo. Depending on your anatomy and how hard you peg, some pegging can leave the vulva feeling pretty sore and bruised the next day for the wearer. It’s a lot of force into a sensitive area! The soft, squishy designed of the BumpHer (hence the name!) helps reduce some of that discomfort.

Taking it one step further, the BumpHer also includes clitoral-focused pleasure bumps along the wearer-facing side. When you put this pegging dildo bumper on a dildo in a harness, it leaves these bumps placed along the pleasure spots for a clitoral-owning person. This can be the gateway to orgasms for a strap-on wearer. Of course, it will vary on your anatomy and how “exposed” your clitoris is (including how aroused you are at the time of the pegging!), but this pegging dildo bumper was designed to make pleasurable contact with the clitoris while pegging – allowing you to grind against the base of the strap-on dildo for pleasure for the strap-on wearer. (Which, hey, I think the world needs more of!)

Some serious love was put into this silicone strap-on buffer. For one, the silicone feels different through each different part of the BumpHer. The silicone on the clitoral/vaginal entrance parts of the BumpHer feel stiff and rigid to allow for better contact. The silicone area around these bumps feels nicely plushy and squishy – like it would help absorb impact. And the silicone along the back part of the BumpHer is thinner and more flexible – perfect for getting it around the base of your next pegging dildo. It’s this attention to detail that makes the BumpHer so amazing. Stiff where it needs to be, fluffy where it needs to be, and stretchy where it needs to be. (As a note, all of the silicone is pretty silky smooth. It isn’t tacky or matte. It glides nicely against the skin and doesn’t tend to attract too much hair or lint.)

To keep the BumpHer in place on your favorite dildo (especially during rough peggings), each one of the BumpHer toys has a stretchy back that “wraps itself around” the base of your dildo. This ensures the BumpHer stays exactly against the base of the dildo without sliding off or moving. At the same time, it means that the dildo must have a base that it can wrap around. Dildos with huge bases (Mr. Hankey’s Toys), with oddly-shaped bases (looking at you, fantasy dildo manufacturers), and realistic dildos with testicles won’t fit easily into the BumpHer. Instead, the BumpHer works best with standard, circular flared bases that aren’t particularly thick or huge. Tantus Toys and Vixen Creations non-testicle models have fit perfectly within our BumpHer with no issue. Our fantasy toys, on the other hand, never stood a chance.

(Have a dildo that has a base that’s wider than that? You might prefer the recently-released b.cush variety from Banana Pants Life. Instead of having this stretching, “wrap around your dildo” backing, the b.cush is entirely flat on the back – making it a good fit for thicker bases or gentle arousal while wearing it in the panties.)

What Strap On Harnesses Work with the BumpHer?

Since the BumpHer was designed for use during pegging, you’ll always want to put some consideration into the type of strap-on harness you use. It might not be apparent at first, but some strap-on harnesses aren’t necessarily going to be compatible with all of the features of the BumpHer. (The BumpHer will still work as a great plushy barrier, but it won’t provide the distinct clitoral pleasure that this pegging clit pleasure toy was designed to do. If you want to ensure you can enjoy the clitoral pleasure of the BumpHer, make sure you’re using a strap-on harness where the base of the dildo touches your bare skin when its inserted into the harness. Some pegging harnesses include fabric backings that come between the base of the dildo and your skin. The BumpHer isn’t the best fit for those (if you’re seeking the clitoral pleasure!) if you have a harness like that. All of my Spareparts harnesses work perfectly with the BumpHer. A few of my Sportsheets ones wouldn’t.

How Well Does BumpHer Go On and Stay On?

When it comes to use, I highly recommend putting on the BumpHer when you have both of your hands free before any lubricant has been applied to anything. Getting the BumpHer onto a dildo isn’t necessarily difficult, but it can be. I recommend three hands – or two hands and a dildo gripped between your thighs. You need to stretch out the base of the BumpHer and get it slipped around the base of the dildo. Again, not too difficult on its own (pretty easy, as long as the stars align and you’re not at the edge of what the BumpHer can accommodate!), but when you don’t have both hands or when you’re slipping and sliding all over the place, it increases the challenge level a lot. (So, if you know what dildo you’re going to use for pegging, I recommend getting the BumpHer on ahead of time – and it can be put on before you put the dildo into the harness too!)

Once the BumpHer is onto your dildo, it stays entirely in-place. We’ve had no issues with it slipping off, sliding, or even “twirling” during use. As long as it’s pressed up against a vulva, the labia’s thicker presence than the space between them tends to keep the BumpHer positioned upright. Unless you have a dildo that has a really strong tendency to rotate itself during use (you’d probably know!), the BumpHer stays really nicely aligned for pleasure during strap-on sex for the wearer.

How Well Does BumpHer Work?

I’ve found the most success for this Bumpher review getting sensation when I spread the labia. I have plushier labia (comes with a squishier body), so I have more “fat” in the way of easily reaching the clitoris, so that might not be an issue with you and your BumpHer. But when I use it during pegging, I find that I get the most sensation if I spread the labia before adjusting the dildo and the BumpHer to rest on top of my clitoris. If I’m doing a whole lot of full thrusts (or have a loose-fitting harness) that pulls the BumpHer far away from my body – and disturbs the “spread” I had going, I definitely see a decrease in how much sensation I get from the BumpHer.

With that in mind, we’ve found that grinding sensations tend to work best with the BumpHer. Surprise, surprise: a sex toy base that includes a plush surface to get stimulation from works best when you’re actually in regular contact with it. The occasional touch to the base works alright, but if you’re looking to orgasm from it, I’d recommend grinding.

Speaking of orgasm, yep – the BumpHer can help “cause” that. Especially with bases that weren’t providing me much clitoral stimulation, slapping a BumpHer around it helps add a whole lot more stimulation. If I focus on pegging and strap on sex positions that focus on grinding (especially if I can spread the labia first and everything stays in position), adding a BumpHer to the base of the dildo can literally make pegging orgasmic for me. No need for added vibrations or extra stimulation before or after: the BumpHer can make our strap-on sex orgasmic for the both of us in a way that can definitely be difficult for me to achieve otherwise.

Due to my plushy body, I don’t usually get bruised or sore after intense pegging or strap-on sessions, so I can’t really comment on the BumpHer for that. However, my much-skinnier penis-owning partner has thrown the BumpHer onto the base of dildos when strapping on for my pleasure, and he has definitely noticed a lot more cushioning at the base. He’s found that he can definitely do more intense, rough thrusting without feeling any of the pressure on his body because the BumpHer cushions everything a lot more. If you’re someone who is hoping to use the BumpHer to cushion strap-on sex, I’d definitely recommend based on our experience.

For those who prefer thigh strap-on harnesses, I can confirm that the BumpHer can be worn to prevent sharp/rigid edges of dildos from pressing uncomfortably into the skin of your thigh.

If you think you’d like more depth to your BumpHer sensations, you might prefer to switch over to their Shagger variety. The Shagger, instead of a “flat” bumped area for the clitoral stimulation, includes a bunch of protruding, flexible “tongues”. The Shagger really, really stands out for grinding. The tongues can provide constant movement when the hips are “grinding against it” during pegging sex positions that have you grinding against your partner’s body more than just going in and out. (Those are my favorite sex positions anyway!)

Packaging of the BumpHer

Upon opening this toy for my Bumpher review, it comes in a small plastic box with a large see-through window that shows off the clitoral pegging toy. The BumpHer sits in a plastic tray. This packaging isn’t discreet, but it’s cute and works fine for getting the BumpHer to you safely. It can be used for long-term storage of your BumpHer, but you should avoid crushing it under any weight. I don’t imagine the box will hold up to much.

How to Clean the BumpHer

Cleaning the BumpHer is pretty simple too. There isn’t any small textures where bodily fluids can get caught in, but you will want to be careful cleaning along the smaller curves of the toy where fluids could get trapped. The BumpHer can be sterilized with a bath of boiling water if you’re looking for easy cleaning, but make sure you’re really careful when you take the BumpHer out of the water (water can get trapped in the interior and spill out, and it’s quite painful if you get it on you!). You can do a simple cleaning with warm water and mild soap though. Using your fingers (watch the fingernails!) cleans up the BumpHer really nicely. You shouldn’t end up needing any silicone to use the BumpHer, but if you’re using some for the pegging, ensure that you’re using water-based lube. Silicone-based could harm the BumpHer.

And as a final point from the world of “don’t let silicone toys touch one another”, that is something you might want to be concerned about. I wouldn’t leave your BumpHer attached to a silicone dildo for long periods of time unless you’re 100% sure that you trust the dildo to be high-quality silicone. Different qualities of silicone can harm one another (Low-quality with high-quality), so leaving a BumpHer on a low-quality toy for weeks at a time might be of concern. I’d recommend removing the BumpHer from the dildo as soon as you’re done using it with the dildo. It’s easier to fully clean the BumpHer when it’s off of a dildo as well.

Final Thoughts of my BumpHer Review

Overall, the BumpHer does a fantastic job of adding more sensation to any base that I throw it on. I wish it had more of a pronounced clitoral bulb, but that may very well be something that’s unique to my anatomy and plushy labia – and less-so on the product itself. When I have the labia spread and get everything into position, the BumpHer does a fantastic job of helping me climb to orgasm in a way that most flat dildo bases don’t. It slides on most of our average dildos with virtually no effort, cushions things a bit more, AND makes it easier to orgasm. Seriously, BumpHer is a must-have pegging accessory to improve your experience.

Thanks to BumpHer for providing these pegging pleasure for wearer toys for my BumpHer review.
