A downright gorgeous fantasy dildo, the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon dildo is a strap-on dildo available in four different sizes. A texture-heavy dildo, the Dragon is made from silicone and is available with a Vac-U-Lock hole, in different firmnesses, and different colors. (More about that later!) It’s thick base, while thick, is compatible with a strap-on harness.

The pictured (and reviewed!) version of the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon dildo is a size Medium/Large in Medium Firm with an Attachment Hole included. It’s 12″ in total length, 10.75″ in insertable length, and maxes out at a 9.5″ in circumference.

The Size of the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo

The sheer size of Mr. Hankey’s toys is what they’re known for. Mr. Hankey’s is one of the few silicone manufacturers out there that makes realistic dildos in very, very large proportions. You can find “king-sized dildos” in PVC and other materials, but if you want body-safe, Mr. Hankey’s is pretty much where it’s at. Some of their dildos reach over 16″ in circumference and 19″ in length!

The Mr. Hankey’s Dragon is no different. While you can select the specific size of the Dragon, the company’s measurements skew towards the large and in charge variety. Their “Mediums” and “Smalls” are even much-larger than you’d find in many sex toy stores, so like I always caution with Mr. Hankey’s dildos, make sure that you’re doing your due diligence with measurements before purchasing. It’s very easy to accidentally purchase a dildo that’s way too large to fit into your hole of choice. These are some dildos for the ambitious – and dildos for those who love the very-large stretches. Everyone deserves more dildos – especially dildos made from body-safe materials and the high-quality of Mr. Hankey’s toys.

The Texture of Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo

What a freakin’ gorgeous texture for this fantasy dildo. It goes above-and-beyond what fantasy dildo manufacturers do – especially with all of the scaling along the shaft. It’s honestly gorgeous and impressively detailed – and that’s coming from someone who owns thousands of dildos. It goes above-and-beyond the shaft texturing of their main fantasy competitor: Bad Dragon.

So what do you get with the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo? Every inch of this dildo is covered in texture (okay, aside from the 3/4″ thick base). Literally every inch, though. The two sides of the strap-on Dragon dildo are covered in lightly textured scale prints. These aren’t as easy to feel during use. The front and back of the dildo, though, are covered in larger, pronounced scales that run the length of the shaft. These pronounced scales are very noticeable during use and can be felt pretty much constantly. They’re not for the feint-of-texture-heart. The pegging Dragon dildo head has a pronounced and bumpy scale at the tip that looks a little bit like a dragon wing. (i.e. It’s pretty awesome). Add to that the small folds of skin at the base of the dildo as the scaled texture slowly disappears into the base, and you have yourself one very-textured and one very-gorgeously detailed dildo.

Like my previous Mr. Hankey’s dildo, I’m really impressed by the texturing and detail. I previously reviewed the Mr. Hankey’s Centaur, and since a leading competitor had a similar model, I put them side-by-side. You can instantly see how much more texture and detailing the Mr. Hankey’s dildo had. It’s the same with the Dragon dildo. There are only a few dildos on the market with this level of detail, and the Dragon dildo is definitely one of them.

Options with the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo

Like almost all (it might actually be all of them?) of Mr. Hankey’s dildos, you have a couple of options when you purchase your toy.

You get to select the size. This specific size will vary depending on the specific dildo, but all measurements (and literally, pretty much every measurement you could want) is listed on the specific dildo’s product page.

Past that, though, you get to select the color, firmness, and attachment hole. The colors will vary depending on the specific product, but a beige and black are pretty standard. For some of their fantasy toys, they offer unique colors – like the Dragon is offered in this pretty metallic green that I love. Your firmness choice will become the firmness of the silicone. In case you didn’t know, silicone is available in multiple firmnesses. More firm toys are just that – more rigid. Softer toys are softer. Especially at toys of this thickness, a lot of people enjoy softer silicone densities because it can make it more enjoyable (and easy!) to penetrate with a dildo of this thickness.

The attachment hole is your final choice. All Mr. Hankey’s Toys come with their thick, strap-on friendly base.  (Whether your strap-on harness is friendly to the large size of the Mr. Hankey’s Dildo is another issue, but depending on the toy, I’ve had multiple Mr. Hankey’s Toys fit into my Spareparts Joque with a bit of tugging). If you’d like, the attachment hole option allows you to select a Vac-U-Lock addition. This means you can have a fantasy dildo with Vac-U-Lock built-in – which is especially hard to find in silicone. This also means you can use your toy in Vac-U-Lock capable sex machines – assuming you have one that’s sturdy enough to support the literal pounds of weight that most of the Mr. Hankey’s Toys are made from.

Using Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo

As you might imagine, a dildo of this…”fortitude” requires a bit of patience. And that’s definitely what I recommend: a lot of patience and a lot of lube. Near the head tends to be the thickest part of this Dragon dildo, so once you’ve managed to get the head inside, the rest of the dildo tends to be “smoother sailing”. So again, more patience while inserting this dildo is the best way to go. Don’t rush the head, and don’t rush in general. A toy of this size can definitely get dangerous if forced inside the body. This is essentially where I give you the “pay attention to your body and don’t hurt yourself” speech.

As you insert the Dragon dildo, though, you’ll get an entire adventure. The very-pronounced scales throughout the length of the Dragon ensure that you’ll get texture on, quite literally, every inch of the dildo. There is no point anywhere on the dildo where you don’t have texture. As you’re slowly inserting the Dragon, the pronounced head offers a tapered tip which does help for slipping the Dragon in at first. Past that tapered tip, the Dragon reaches its thickest dimensions right beneath the tip.

That being said, the Dragon dildo is 100% a slow-thrust dildo. Fast thrusts with the Dragon can be downright irritating with the constant width changes and scale texture. The pleasure of the Dragon is in luxuriously lounging within each inch of the Dragon’s constant changes. The pronounced ridges along the front and backside of the dildo vary in pronunciation – and vary in width. The dildo’s overall width varies throughout the shaft. Pretty much every inch of the dildo offers a slightly evolving experience with a texture you can definitely feel. There’s literally no surface of the Dragon that doesn’t have texture, and you’ll be able to feel all of it.

Lube is an absolute must with the Dragon dildo. That texture doesn’t feel pleasant without proper lubrication – especially when used anally. Because the insertion of the Dragon is such a drawn-out process if you’re playing above your usual anal toy size, the lubricant can dry up even more quickly. Some attention to keeping the surface of the Dragon ready to go is key to ensuring you get to enjoy yourself.

Size Up or Size Down?

Because of the texture on the Dragon dildo, I highly recommend paying some serious attention to the measurements – even more than I recommend it for other toys. If the Dragon’s measurements on the edge of “too big” for you, 100% size down. The texture is much more enjoyable when the toy is a comfortable size for you. This isn’t one of those dildos that makes a great introduction to a larger size. You certainly can use it that way, but it doesn’t really take advantage of the delicious texture of the Dragon dildo.

Instead, ensuring you can comfortably take the Dragon makes sure that your entire insertion is just downright pleasurable. While you can still enjoy the gentle stretch of the toy, you’ll be able to better-focus on the texture and its constant pronounced ridges as you slide the Dragon into the body. There will be less focus on lots of pauses and much more focus on a slow insertion where you can enjoy every ridge – which is exactly where the Dragon dildo by Mr. Hankey’s excels.

Taking Care of the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo

Like all of Mr. Hankey’s dildos, the Dragon is made from silicone. It requires standard silicone cleaning treatment – that is, regular cleaning with warm water and a mild soap. It can also be sterilized by boiling it in a (very large) pot of water. Be careful when removing the Dragon dildo because, if you’ve added the Attachment Hole to the base, it can keep water within the base. (I have 100% burned myself on leftover water left in the attachment holes of toys.) Mr. Hankey’s Toys says all lubricants can be used with the Dragon, but I’d be cautious and spot-test any silicone-based or oil-based lubes.

I would be particularly careful of sharp objects near the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon. I have long fingernails on the regular, and I’ve been concerned about accidentally marking my dildo a couple of times now. With all of the textured ridges and scales, there’s a lot more “sticky outy” bits than a lot of my dildos – which makes it a lot easier to accidentally catch a corner with my fingernail. As long as you’re careful, though, the dildo is pretty darn resilient, and I don’t think it’d get hurt by any light scratches.

Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Dildo Review Final Thoughts

Yet again, Mr. Hankey’s excels at making a dildo that stands out – even in the saturated world of fantasy dildos. Mr. Hankey’s Dragon goes above-and-beyond the usual idea of “texture” with a fully-textured dildo that ensures every single centimeter of penetration has a different sensation. If slow thrusting or intense texture isn’t your wheelhouse, though, you’re probably better off selecting a different Mr. Hankey’s Toy – but you just needed to look at the pictures to see that one. If you’re seeking constant texture, a detailed design, and a slow-thrusting, luxurious experience, though, the Mr. Hankey’s Dragon dildo is where it’s at.

If in doubt when purchasing your Dragon dildo from Mr. Hankey’s Dildos, choose a size that’s well-within your anal toy pleasure sizing. This isn’t one of the better dildos to “expand your hole”, but instead, it excels at offering a seriously texture-heavy experience where every damn inch of the dildo offers an intensely textured experience.
