Wet for Her Five + Spareparts Joque Starter Kit Review

Looking to jump straight into strap on sex with some of the best toys out there – or maybe just looking for some savings when upgrading some of your current gear? That’s exactly the idea behind the Wet for Her Strap On and Dildo Bundle. This bundled pack saves you quite a bit of money on the Spareparts Joque harness and the Five by Wet for Her dildo. (In fact, it costs less than some places sell the Joque individually for!) You can still select your sizes and colors – but you receive a deep discount off of both of them for ordering them as a set.

The Wet for Her Five is one of Wet for Her’s own dildos. Made for women, by women, this non-realistic dildo was especially made for lesbian sex – but works great for pretty much anybody who wants a dildo! The Wet for Her Five is available in three different colors (pink, purple, black) as well as available in three different sizes within those colors (Small, Medium, Large). The Wet for Her Five is made from a silky-smooth silicone with a flared base that makes it safe for anal.

The Spareparts Joque harness is a double-strap (jock strap on harness style) strap-on harness.

Five by Wet for Her Dildo Review

When it comes to strap-on sex and beginner-friendly, non-textured dildos, the biggest competitor to the Five by Wet for Her would be the Tantus Silk. The Silk line is also a set of three differently-sized dildos with varying diameters and no texture.

That being said, when it comes to strap on sex, the Wet for Her Five line easily comes out on top for a few reasons. The biggest reason is the dildo’s rigidity. I can’t count the number of times where I’ve heard someone complain about the Silk’s super-flexible silicone – which makes inserting it into the body difficult – especially when someone happens to be brand-new to that type of penetration. The Wet for Her 5 doesn’t have that issue with its lovely, rigid silicone.

Wet for Her Five

The Wet for Her Five still has some “bend” to it, but it isn’t a ton of bend, and it requires quite a bit of force to get it to bend. It will not “collapse” upon itself when pressure is applied. It stays firm which makes it much easier to insert – and drastically reduces how often the dildo “slips out” or “falls out” during strap on sex.

In addition, I’m IN LOVE with the silicone that the Five by Wet for Her uses. It’s that super-smooth, silk-like silicone that glides against the skin. Other beginner dildos have more of a gloss and grippy-ness to it that tends to require a lot more lube applications. This Wet for Her lesbian dildo is much smoother, and the lube tends to last a whole lot longer on there. I still wouldn’t attempt penetration with it unless you’re extremely, extremely self-lubricated (honestly, external lube helps any silicone toy glide better!), but once the lube is there and the dildo is covered in slickness, it tends to last longer and glides a whole lot better against the skin.

One of the more interesting stylistic choices seems to be the Wet for Her’s cone-like base. The “flare” could work just as well without extending the base’s thickness upwards. that being said, this stylistic choice actually makes it super-freakin’-comfortable for hand-holding use. Instead of my finger curving back in towards themselves with a thinner base, my fingers can rest on the cone-like part of the base. It makes handholding the dildo – whether for self or a partner – much more comfortable. On the downside, as we’ll mention later, it does reduce a bit of the “usable” strap-on area by about 0.75″ since the O-ring tends to stay around the thinner part of the dildo.

The Wet for Her Five’s base is completely smooth. It does not have a suction cup or any bullet hole – but it does have a really nice, smooth surface that makes it really comfortable up against the body during strap-on use. Depending on how much your clit responds to grinding, this flat-based surface can work really well for grinding during strap on sex for orgasmic enjoyment. (If you’re going for clitoral pleasure with the base of your dildo, though, you might be better served by Wet for Her’s Fusion.)

Packaging of the Wet for Her Five Dildo

The packaging will get this dildo to you quite safely. Honestly, it’s some super-sturdy packaging, and if you choose to store the Five by Wet for Her dildo in here long-term, you could do so easily. The outside of the box is really user-friendly with no gross language like you occasionally see on some dildo packaging. (It has gotten better in recent years, though.) The box is also fully rectangular with nothing sticking out, so it can easily be wrapped up for gift-giving. (Just saying during this holiday season!)

Spareparts Joque Harness Review

I have owned a Spareparts Joque Harness for ten years. Yes, literally, one harness has been my absolute choice of a strap-on harness for the last ten years – AND it still works. That is some serious craftmanship. It’s a dream of a strap-on harness, and I 100% am constantly shouting its merits from the rooftops every time a new strap-on wearer asks the “What strap on harness should I buy” question.

Really, I could gush about the Spareparts Joque harness all day if you let me. The biggest selling point is just that it’s machine-washable. After I’m done with sex, I don’t wanna clean things. I wanna lay and do nothing. With the Joque, I just toss it into a lingerie bag, and it goes into the washer and dryer.

Of course, using the strap-on harness is amazing too. I love that I don’t have to worry about cleaning it because of the aforementioned machine-washable thing. This means I don’t worry about getting lube on it. I don’t worry about getting my own fluids on it, and I don’t worry about doing any type of anal sex with it. I know it’s going to get fully cleaned in the wash, and I won’t have to worry about it.

The cleaning isn’t the only thing that makes the Spareparts Joque harness a great choice, though. My other favorite aspect is the velcro-designed hip fastening. It essentially means I never, ever have to fuss with straps after the first time I get it adjusted for my body. I just step into it, Velcro the hips into place, and bam! Done. While I love my leather harnesses for show and part of elaborate outfits, I usually just want to get to the strap on sex part – not spend lots of time getting dressed for it. The Spareparts Joque really lends itself well to how I like to do things; it’s easy to get on.

On that note, the Spareparts Joque is also extremely comfortable. I’ve worn it underneath clothing to wear strap-on dicks before. I’ve worn it all day on multiple occasions. While this is most comfortable after you’ve really “broken in” the harness (the under-the-thigh straps can be a bit bite-y over hours when they’re still new), it’s entirely possible to do. As you can imagine, the Joque is super-comfortable to wear for purely strap on sex times too. Zero complaints there.

(Sidenote! The Spareparts Joque is also water-friendly! Made from Neoprene, it totally likes water. I’ve worn my Joque in both hot tubs AND pools! I’d wash it right afterwards to remove the chlorine, but otherwise, welcome to having a waterproof strap on!)

Want the dildo to make contact with your body? The Joque has a movable fabric that allows you to eliminate skin-to-dildo contact – or “open the curtains” (they look like curtains) and the dildo base can touch skin. I don’t use them, but the Joque also has two bullet hole pouches – on the top and bottom of the dildo – on the wearer’s side. A We-Vibe Tango or a __ fits perfectly in there.

The last thing to note is that the Spareparts Joque has a built-in, stretchable O-ring. This essentially means you can never change out the O-ring. I mostly consider this a pro. I never have to worry about snap buttons coming undone or figuring out where the heck my 1.5″ O-ring is. It’s just….there. That being said, super-big, super-large dildos are a no-go for a Spareparts Joque. We’re talking “super big”, though. I have worn my giant fantasy dildoes from Mr. Hankey’s and Bad Dragon (and other fantasy manufacturers) in my Spareparts Joque before. Once you start getting beyond the 2.75″ diameter of dildos, though, the Joque is going to stop being the best fit. So, it’ll fit virtually any dildo, pretty much, unless you like ’em HUGE.

How to Wear Spareparts Joque Harness

Like most strap on harnesses, I recommend putting the harness on the ground, setting its little straps into little piles around where the legs should go, stepping onto the harness piles, and pulling it up. As you get more familiar with a strap on harness, you can likely do that process mentally without putting it on the ground, but when you’re new to pegging harnesses, it really helps to have it visually laid out for you.

The Spareparts Joque harness is intentionally designed to ride pretty low (essentially on top of the clitoral area) while strapping it on. The hip straps will move upwards from there for the hip straps to ultimately rest over the butt in the back. The image shown above, from Wet for Her, is a good representation of how you should expect the Spareparts Joque harness to sit. (I really enjoy this type of fit because it provides clitoral stimulation during sex, but if you’re someone who finds that type of pressure uncomfortable on the clit during strap on sex, you might prefer something that’s a bit higher rising.)

How should a strap on harness fit? That’s the lovely thing about the Spareparts Joque harness; it’s entirely adjustable throughout the entirety of the pegging harness. Essentially, you want your Spareparts Joque harness to be as snug as possible. Usually, you can go looser with the hip straps, but where things really matter is in the around-the-thigh straps. Expect those to be snug enough to indent your skin a bit. (If that’s not comfortable, don’t wear it that way! Just expect the dildo to pull away from the body a bit more.)

The Spareparts Joque harness allows for customization of fit to get it to that snug point through multiple points. The hip band uses two adjustment points. First, you have the Velcro bands. The hip band is adjusted through Velcro. Just unvelcro and revelcro both sides of the harness for a snug fit. (It’s very, very easy to use.) From there, the Spareparts Joque harness has a small clip strap (similar to bra straps!) that allows you to make minor adjustments along the hips. You can see those on both sides of the harness.

From there, the Spareparts Joque also has two straps that run underneath the thighs. These thigh straps also have the same adjustment buckles that the minor-adjustment-hip-fasteners had. I recommend tightening these as comfortably as you can. These are what help the dildo maintain contact with your body during the out-stroke for constant sensation. These two under-the-butt straps can be a bit bite-y at first, but with regular wear, they become much softer and comfortable for wear.

Wet for Her Five Plus Spareparts Joque Harness

I’m sure you could probably assume this (since Wet for Her sells them as a bundled deal!), but these two toys go together like PB&J! The harness, as we’ve covered, is an absolute dream of a harness, and the dildo is an absolute dream of a dildo as well. Put together, well, they work fantastically.

It’s worth noting that you will lose a little bit of the length of the Wet for Her 5 purely through the fact that the flared base isn’t entirely flat. So the “O-ring” of the Spareparts Joque strap on harness will sit at the area where the Sex Toy Five’s base starts to curve outward.

I know that Wet for Her is an inclusive sex toy brand (yay!) and sells strap-on harnesses up to 5XL. (Honestly, the Spareparts Joque works great for plus-size use as well with a harness design that can fit a women’s size 28 particularly easily.) With that in mind, if you’re a particularly plush person, I highly recommend one of Wet for Her’s other dildos. The Wet for Her Five is an amazing beginner dildo, but when it comes to strap on sex with it if the wearer is plushy, you’ll lose a “lot of length” to the thicker hips or tummy apron. A longer dildo, like the Wet for Her Fusion dildo. You still may find that a bit short, but unfortunately, in the world of strap on dildos, longer length usually comes with thicker width.

If you find that the Wet for Her Five is a bit too short when used with your strap on harness, you can also hand-hold the dildo for initial stretching and switch to a slightly-thicker (and longer!) dildo for the actual strap-on sex as well. Alternatively, switch to a sex position that allows for much-deeper penetration to “squeak out” as much of the length as humanly possible.

Since Wet for Her markets towards lesbian couples who may want to regularly switch who is wearing the harness, it’s worth noting that the Spareparts Joque and the Wet for Her Five bundle lend themselves really well to that. As mentioned before, the Spareparts Joque fastens with velcro around the hips. This means you can easily step out of the harness, and your partner can step into it, secure the velcro, and boom: less than ten seconds later, the harness fits your partner for switching around who is wearing the dildo. Other strap on harnesses include buckles and straps that take a whole lot longer than some comfy velcro.

(To understand the versatility, my Size B harness can go from my 65″ hips all the way to my partner’s 31″ hips in a matter of seconds. It’s a bit loose on him, but it’s still entirely usable which makes this one of the few strap on harnesses on the market that can fit very slim-bodied individuals AND very plus individuals all at the same time.)

Wet for Her Strap On Combo Pack Review

This is a lovely set, and the money you save makes it worth it to get it – even if you were just considering the harness side of it. You get one of the best strap-on harnesses on the market – and an amazingly awesome strap-on dildo that’s great for people who don’t want their dildos too realistic or big – or people who want to use it for dilation. The Five by Wet for Her Dildo holds its shape, feels silky smooth, glides in easily, and feels really, really comfortable for hand-holding use. Plus, the flat base makes a fantastic surface for grinding pleasure.

It’s worth noting that the shorter length of the Wet For Her Five dildo will make this a very short dildo on plus-size wearers, and you may choose to opt for the Wet for Her Union instead. Especially since the strap-on harness is so versatile in size, I’d highly recommend this kit for two differently-sized partners who want to just invest in a single harness. Regardless of your size, you get an amazing strap on harness and a pleasurable dildo – all in a single purchase with a large discount. It’s hard to find too many things wrong with that. Thanks to Wet for Her for sending this Joque Harness and Five Strap On Dildo Combo Pack for my strap on harness and dildo kit review.
