The Bodywand Original Massager is a strong, plug-in vibrator that looks a bit like the Hitachi Magic Wand. However, instead of being the Hitachi, it happens to be a Body Wand massager which means it just looks a whole lot nice. Instead of a low/high switch, the Bodywand massager uses a turn dial on vibrator. The vibrator is made completely from plastic. The vibrator is slightly smaller in length than the Hitachi.

The packaging for this wand massager is really cute. It comes in a white and blue box that looks very modern and displays the product’s features. Like all wand massagers, it “pretends” tha it isn’t going to go on your genitals, but we all know it will. It just comes with the box, and it also comes with a one-year warranty, so you can rest easy that it won’t break and you’ll be left with no toy within a year.

Because this vibrator plugs into the wall, I would highly, highly suggest against taking this near any water. In fact, it could be fatal. Instead, just keep it away from water and use it in the rest of your home. The cord isn’t long enough for you to take it across the room, but it does seem to have about four feet on it in cord length which has always been long enough for us. The cord is just the traditional American plug-in, and because it has the cord, it does not need batteries. This is not rechargeable; it does require being plugged into the wall during use or it won’t work.

The Bodywand Original Massager is just really neat! I like it a lot! It’s a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but the blue stripe along the middle, while plastic, is actually textured plastic. If your hands are slippery or covered in lube, this texture makes is to the Bodywand massager is much easier to hold on to. There are small air vents on the back of the body of the massager which keeps the massager from heating up, but I do have to wonder about lubricant getting stick in those holes and causing a problem. The times we’ve used it, we’ve had lubricant on my hands, so I don’t think it’s going to cause too much of a problem.

The head of the Bodywand Original Massager is flexible. It’s not too flexible, but it will move back and forth if you apply pressure. In a “yay” moment, the vibrations do not get any softer or weaker if pressure is applied through the head or if the head is bent in any way. They just stay nice and strong.

The control dial for this vibrator is great! It’s very, very easy to scroll with one finger during use, but it’s also not in the way, and we never found ourselves accidentally adjusting the speed unless we wanted to. It actually, in a bit of oddness, gets stronger when you roll the dial downwards instead of upwards. This actually works really well during use, and we had no issues with it.

So how strong? STRONG! It’s basically comparable to a Hitachi Magic Wand except, with this wand, you have a full range of adjustment because of the control dial. Just like most wand massagers, it does tend to be a bit loud though. This could definitely be heard outside of a closed door with the highest setting, but the lower settings couldn’t be heard through a closed door. The amazing thing about the vibrations from this Body wand massager is that the vibrations are very rumbly. The lower settings seem to be less rumbly, but the higher ones really get deep under the skin and are very rumbly.

The boyfriend says that he recommends this one over the Hitachi. I can’t say I’d pick the “either/or” game, but this vibrator is certainly just as amazing as the Hitachi. He says that the vibration adjustment dial is a huge plus over the Hitachi Magic Wand as he likes to have control to adjust vibrations exactly how he wants them. He loves how easy the wand is to grasp compared to the Hitachi, and he says that he definitely felt it was just as strong to the Hitachi.

This is the strongest massager out of the Bodywand line. There’s a rechargeable version (which is about 1/2 to 3/4 of the power of this plug-in version) and a Mini Wand version which is meant to be small and discreet. This Bodywand Original Massager is definitely the most rumbly of all of them, and really, the only downside to this amazing powerhouse is that is requires to be plugged in while the others don’t. I also like the color choice of the Original Massager as the blue is a nice, light blue that makes it look attractive but not too feminine.

As this is a pretty new product, there probably aren’t any specific attachments for it quite yet. After all, taking these strong vibrations internal might be pretty fun! However, we tried a couple of our Hitachi attachments on the head of this vibrator, and they fit just fine. They didn’t fall off, and the heads of the two vibrators seem to be similar. If you want a silicone head or want some new attachments for it, just seek out some Hitachi ones!

This Bodywand Rechargeable Massager is part of the rest of the line of Bodywand Massagers. You can check out my Bodywand Comparison review if you want to find more information about which one of the three to pick.

Cleaning is probably one of the few areas where I’d be careful with this vibrator. All of the plastic does have seams between the different colors, and there are heat-vents on the back of the vibrator. This means that, if possible, try to wipe off your hands before holding this vibrator with lubricated hands. It’ll be a bit hard to get all of the lubricant and bodily fluids out from the cracks if your hands are covered in it, but I can’t say that we’ve had any build-up or anything. We’re just more careful about getting lubricant on it than we would be with, say, a glass dildo. The head of the vibrator is really easy to clean with soap and water, and it’s compatible with all different types of lubricant. Since it’s plastic, it can be stored wherever you’d like it to be stored, but do remember that the cord does not detach, so it might be stored with the cord.

Overall? We’re in LOVE! We love the new Bodywand Original Massager, and we took the Hitachi straight out of the bedroom and replaced it with this. The adjustable dial on the handle allows you to pick your perfect setting, and the attractive style of this wand massager beats some of the other wand massagers out there. We love the Bodywand, and I’m glad they came out with this new line of wand massagers. Thanks to Bodywand for providing this wand massager for my Bodywand Original Massager review. You can check out some of their other wand massagers as well.
