The Bodywand Massagers are a new set of massagers made by XGen. They’re good massagers, and the neat thing about them is that all of them have new, different colors compared to a lot of the current wand massagers on the market. There are currently three different kinds of wand massagers that Bodywand is creating.
The first, largest, and most powerful is the Bodywand Original Massager. This is a large wand-massager that plugs into the outlet and requires being plugged in to function. It’s about the same size as the Hitachi Magic Wand, but instead of having the low/high switch, the Bodywand Original Wand Massager actually functions with a dial. The cord is long enough to comfortably plug into the wall while still being able to use it nearby, but don’t expect it to span an entire room; it’s about four feet long. The textured feeling along the main shaft of the toy makes it very easy to hold onto during use which is great.
The vibrations of the Bodywand Original Massager are intense! They are very rumbly, and they definitely match the strength of the Hitachi Magic Wand. They are amazingly strong, and this replaced our Hitachi just because we can adjust to the speeds in the middle of “Low” and “High” – unlike the Hitachi. The only thing with this large one is that it seems to have air vents in the back of the toy to keep it from overheating, so you do have to be careful to have not-too-messy hands while using to avoid making a mess to clean up later. Overall, though, we LOVE this one.
The second in strength is the Bodywand Rechargeable Massager. This one is about half of the size of the Original Massager, and instead of plugging in, it is rechargeable! It has a smaller, more compact body, and the head is about half of the size of the Original Wand Massager as well. Recharging it is extremely easy, and you just have to plug the toy into the recharging port. There’s a silicone piece that covers the recharging port for when it’s charging, but the piece is not attached to the toy, so you have to be careful not to lose it.
The vibrations are strong with this one, but they aren’t as strong as the Original Massager. I’d say that you get about 1/2 to 3/4 of the strength as the Original Massager. The vibrations aren’t nearly as rumbly as the Original Massager, but they aren’t too buzzy either. They’re somewhere in the middle – like even ground between the two. The Rechargeable Massager is also much quieter than the Original one as well. It definitely delivers enough of a punch for easy orgasms though, and that’s a good thing! This rechargeable wand massager has also made it into our bedroom for when we don’t want to hassle with the cord of the Original as the vibrations with the Bodywand Rechargeable wand are still strong enough for orgasm.
The Bodywand Mini Massager is the tiny guy of the group. The vibrations are very buzzy with this little guy. I’d say that it has 1/10 of the vibrations of the Original massager, and even then, it’s hard to compare it because the vibrations with this one are very surface and very buzzy while the Original’s are rumbly and deep.
The cutest thing about the Mini Wand Massager is that it has little gems around the base of the vibrator. This gives it a neat, cute appearance. As this vibrator is only about the size of my finger, it’s very easy to take around, and it’s meant to be small and discreet. It’s the quietest of all of the Bodywand massagers, and it runs on watch batteries. This makes it good for travel as you can just bring more batteries. Again, though, some women may not find that this is strong enough for orgasm as it is pretty buzzy.
In comparison, our favorite is definitely the Original Massager, and unless you have a thing against plug-ins or really want a strong rechargeable wand massager, I’d probably say that the Original Massager is the best one of the bunch. The Rechargeable Bodywand definitely comes in a close second though. The little Mini Massager, while cute, is probably the weakest one of the group just due to the weaker and buzzier vibrations, but for such a small vibrator, it still does its job.
