The Reflections Glass G-Spot Dildo is a glass g-spot dildo sold by TabuToys sex toys. The Reflections Allure (according to the packaging) is part of the Doc Johnson Reflections line. This toy is a dildo only, and it does not vibrate. The toy is a little over seven inches long, and it has a diameter of a little over an inch towards the top and about and inch and a half at the base. The Reflections Allure also includes a strap at the base of the toy.
The packaging is pretty basic. The glass sex toy comes in a plastic box that includes an inner plastic tray that slides out to show off the toy. The toy can be a bit difficult to get out of the plastic tray, but at least it does keep the toy safe during shipping. The packaging looks very fun and classy with a blue decorated design, and it is suitable for gift-giving. The toy’s box also talks about the different features of the dildo on it. Along with that, there is no included storage bag for the dildo, so you will need to have your own storage bag or keep it in something like a mis-matched sock to protect the toy.
As you can imagine, this is just a glass dildo, but it honestly doesn’t feel like glass. It looks like stainless steal, and the boyfriend says that it feels a bit like aluminum, but it’s actually glass. It seems like the glass was painted over with that metallic-looking paint to make it look even more fancy. It does look more fancy when you look into it, and it actually does shine, so you can see your reflection in the surface when you look into it! The toy must not be hollow as it also is pretty weighty; it’s not as heavy as stainless steel, but it’s certainly heavier than most silicone or plastic toys.
One of the neater aspects to this dildo is that it includes the cord at the base of the toy. At the same time, I’m not sure why it includes this cord. Do most people hang up their sex toys? I do it with my kink items, but I don’t do it with my toys. The cord is covered in easy-to-clean slick material, and it doesn’t seem to be removable. Well, yes, it is removable if you cut it off, but you won’t be able to get it back on. The strap is large enough to fit your wrist, so maybe you’re supposed to use it get a better grip on the toy even when it is lubricated. We didn’t find much of a use for it, but I think it’s neat that it’s there, so I haven’t cut it off yet.
The glass on this toy seems very sturdy. I was worried that it might not be so sturdy since the paint is on the outside of the toy, but honestly, it feels a lot sturdier than my other glass toys. I tried banging it around on things (in the name of science! Of course!), and the glass doesn’t show any marks or any cracks or anything. It seems that this glass dildo is really meant to last, and I don’t have any concerns about it getting destroyed. It doesn’t, however, come with a storage bag, so if you really want to take good care of it, I recommend picking up a padded storage bag to make sure that your glass dildo stays as safe as possible.
The toy reminds me of the “Decadence G-Spot” toy which is another one of the Doc Johnson g-spot items. Unlike the Decadence which is smaller and vibrates, though, this toy is much heavier, a large shape, and it doesn’t vibrate.
During use, you’ll find that this toy almost feels a bit like stainless steel because of the heft and the smooth feeling. It takes very little lubricant to insert because the toy is so smooth which is always a plus with me. At the same time, it has a very slight g-spot curve. If you have a deeper or more extreme g-spot, don’t expect this to it is perfectly, but if the average g-spot toy tends to work okay for you, you’ll find that the Reflections Allure will probably work out for you as well. The toy can start to hurt your wrist if you tend to do some intense thrusting because of the weight of it, but it doesn’t seem to hurt for grinding/stroking nearly as much. The toy can definitely get slippery during use because of the slick, glass body, so you might want to have something to wipe down the toy if you dislike your hands slipping off of the toy.
Like all glass toys, the Reflections Allure can be used with temperature play. This means that, if you place it in warmer water or colder water, the toy itself will take on the temperature of the water. If you are a person that really enjoys cold sensations or warm sensations, this can work perfectly for you. Just don’t freeze or microwave the toy as that could harm it.
Cleaning this is very simple. You can just use warm water and anti-bacterial soap. The box states that the toy is also dishwasher safe, so you can wash it in the dishwasher if need be. It doesn’t have a storage pouch, so if you really like the toy, to prevent scratches or harm to it, you’ll want to get a padded storage pouch. It’s compatible with all types of lubricant.
Overall, I love the Reflections Glass Wand Allure from Doc Johnson. It looks like stainless steel, but it’s much more affordable, and it almost feels like stainless steel as well. It looks fancy, and if you have a shallow g-spot, this toy can be a good g-spot toy. I’m not very fond of the hanging cord at the base of the toy, but maybe you’ll like it more than I did.
