“This Ain’t Star Trek XXX” is an adult feature parody video produced by Hustler and sold by Adam and Eve Sex Toys. The 2-disk set comes in a regular-size DVD case. The movie was directed by Axel Braun and stars Evan Stone (leading role), Jenna Haze, Sasha Grey, Aurora Snow, Jada Fire, Codi Carmichael, and Tony De Sergio. No condoms or protection were used throughout this movie. The entire movie is on the first disk with the second disk housing all of the special features. The DVD allows you to play the entire movie, select a chapter, or select a scene based upon the female involved. The movie is a full two hours long.
As you can imagine, this adult movie is a parody of the original Star Trek series. I had no idea about this, but another review says that this movie is a parody of the original “Space Seed” episode. The neat thing about this video is that it also includes a non-sex version of the entire movie. It’s basically just a run-through of all of the Star Trek footage without any of the sex scenes interrupting the action which is neat if you enjoyed watching it purely for the parody humor.
The basic premise of the movie actually made me giggle. They find an abandoned spaceship and pull the survivors onboard. One of the survivors turns out to be a conqueror, and with that, he spreads a virus throughout the ship to infect all of the crew. One of the doctors discovers the cure is a high dose of endorphins – which of course, he says is delivered through orgasms. In the end, they fix the “virus”, but not before needing some “cures” for the problem. It’s not a bad plot – though giggle-worthy at times.
I was a bit disappointed with the acting. Evan Stone wasn’t his amazing acting self in this movie. I’m used to him being a pretty good actor. The other lead, Nick Manning, was really stiff and lots of forced anger. Honestly, all of the acting on this adult movie reminded me of when I did a play when I was in high school – all very forced and obviously fake. I feel like good acting would have really helped the plot of the movie be a lot more believable.
The music for the background, while it wasn’t distracting, was pretty funny. It was all space and sci-fi music which really seemed out of place during a blowjob or intercourse. It wasn’t distracting though, and it was only noticed if you really tried to pay attention to it.
The sexual scenes themselves were okay. I can’t say that I was impressed, but it seems to take a lot more to impress me than it used to. All of the scenes (aside from the Sasha Grey/Evan Stone scene) were completely focused on the male. The scene started with a blowjob and led to sex without female pleasure much of anywhere in between. I have to say I was a bit grossed out by some of the blowjobs too. In one of them there was an over-zealous use of spit while in another two, there was that gagging/choking sound that women make when they push themselves too far – but the sound was made on purpose. While it’s hot if it’s done once in awhile, it was done every time she took the penis into her mouth which then began to make me nauseous. Again, I was disappointed in the lack of believable sex or much of any pleasure to the female. Evan Stone/Sasha Grey did work in a lot of cunnilingus during their scene along with some pretty interesting positions which included Sasha Grey standing with one of her legs up on Evan’s shoulder. (It was insane and I was impressed.)
Along with their scene, the other four scenes are: Jenna Haze/Tony De Sergio (who plays an innocent Spock), Aurora Snow/Nick Manning, Codi Carmichael/Cheyne Collins, and Jada Fire/Tony De Sergio/Evan Stone. This makes five scenes in total. Each one of the scenes runs pretty long with the non-sex action only making up about 20 minutes. This means that the other scenes make up the 1 hour and 40 minutes remaining outside of the plot.
I was also disappointed with the female stars always looking into the camera. It makes it hard to believe they are enjoying the sex when they are keeping eye contact with the camera lens. Along with this, the disembodied penis problem was rampant. That is, the camera does a great job of keeping the guy’s face out of the screen – we just get the girl doing an action to a penis attached to a body. I know females are the focus of porn movies, but there are males involved too – I like to see them once in awhile.
I did enjoy the parody of this movie though. I wish it was socially appropriate to give this to other Trekkie fans we have in our life, but that probably isn’t such a good idea. The sex wasn’t really all that amazing, the acting wasn’t so amazing, and we probably won’t watch it again, but if you have the ability, it’d be worth renting if you have a love for Star Trek.
