The Buzz Vibrating Dildo is a silicone dildo made by Tantus. It’s over six inches long, has a diameter of slightly over an inch, and has a two and a half inch base. It comes in purple, black, and pink. The Buzz also comes with a small bullet that can be inserted into the base of the dildo to make the dildo vibrate. Silicone is body-safe and phthalate-free as well as easy to clean. The Buzz has a slight tilt to it that may help some achieve g-spot pleasure as well as a slightly larger-than-the-body head that makes the dildo look nice.
The Buzz comes in regular Tantus packaging – a see-through box where the dildo is kept safe by a plastic tray that it sits in inside of the packaging. The bullet is sitting in the tray right next to the dildo. The batteries are already stored inside of the bullet. There are no paper instructions included with the Buzz, but the packaging does let you know that it’s boilable and body-safe. It doesn’t say anything about compatible lubricants though, so if you were a newbie, you might have a problem.
The Buzz is made from Tantus’s silicone. This means that, like all other Tantus silicone, it’s nice and firm but still is soft at the same time. It will insert easily without any problem but still has enough give to be comfortable after inserted. The silicone isn’t tacky in the slightest and is actually extremely smooth to the touch. Tantus silicone also has absolutely no taste, and we actually tried this dildo out first as a dildo for giving oral to.
This dildo does have a small hole at the bottom of the base where any standard bullet can slip in to turn this dildo into a vibrating dildo. This Buzz comes with its own bullet, but if you prefer a stronger one, you can use any standard one in the hole. I recommend you put a couple drops of lubricant in the hole before you attempt to put the bullet in so it’s easier to retrieve. This bullet is a PowerBullet. It’s just your standard, one-speed bullet. The one speed is a “high” from most bullets, but once it’s put into the dildo, it tends to lose some of that strength. It becomes more a low when going through the entire silicone of the dildo, but it is still possible to feel the vibrations.
The bullet does come with its own batteries, and you just have to pull a tab away from the batteries for the bullet to vibrate on its own. The vibrations will add a bit to your sex toy use, but this isn’t something most people would be able to orgasm just through the vibrations. It adds something, but it isn’t super-powerful by far. If you want super-powerful, invest in a Hitachi, and press the Hitachi up to the base of your Buzz while using it. That will definitely give your dildo a nice jolt in vibrations.
We ended up using this in a harness which was my original intention. The boyfriend’s been doing some anal lately, and we have to “upgrade” to larger dildos. (Or at least, I want to.) This one does have a base on it which is why it was a good choice – it also vibrates which is something we don’t have with another harness-compatible dildo. However, this one just didn’t work how I was thinking it would with a harness. Because it’s long and has a regular diameter, it tends to weigh a bit when held horzitonally. The base of the dildo just wasn’t prepared for this weight. Yes, the base will work great for holding it in the harness as well as working as a base for anal, but it’s not amazing at it – your dildo ends up being a bit droopy since the base is pretty tiny for the amount of weight it needs to hold up. However, it does still work well for harness use.
The dildo worked well for anal use. The flared base kept it safe and the length was about like a regular penis while the girth is slightly smaller than average which is exactly what we were looking for. The slight curve of the dildo really didn’t work well for g-spot or p-spot stimulation, but the vibration still carries really nicely through the body of the dildo which provides an interesting sensation. The head does have a slight curve to it, but I can’t say that neither the boyfriend or I noticed it during use, so it just seems to be more for looks than for use. The dildo was definitely firm enough to actually do some g-spot stroking, so if you manage to touch your g-spot (like we couldn’t) it’d be possible to put pressure on it with this dildo.
Since this is pure silicone, if you remove the bullet, you can wash this in the top shelf of the dishwasher or can boil it to sterilize it and use it for multiple uses. You can use antibacterial soap and water for everyday use. Since this is silicone, you should use water-based lubricant just to be safe. However, we use Wet Platinum silicone lubricant on it without any adverse reactions. For storage, we put it back in the original packaging. It doesn’t seem to collect lint too badly.
Overall, the Buzz Vibrating Dildo is a versatile dildo that we have enjoyed. It’s tasteless for oral use, has a flared base for anal use and harness use, and is firm and soft enough for vaginal use. No matter what you are looking for, we found that the Buzz Vibrating Dildo makes for filling and vibrating fun.
