Want to see this sexy dildo sword in action? Check out my “Mother of Dildos” costume!
Turn any dildo into a regal sword with The Realm Drago Lock-On Dragon Sword Dildo Handle. Sold by SheVibe, this handle slides into any Lock-On dildo (including Vac-u-Lock toys!) to turn your favorite dildos into a dildo sword! C’mon, how cool is that? The handle is made from polyurethane and really detailed (and decently hefty!). At almost 12 inches long with a width of 7″, it definitely has a presence that can be hard to ignore.
The dildo pictured within this review is The Realm Realistic 8 Inch Silicone Lock-On Dildo. SheVibe also offers a discount if you purchase the handle and the dildo together. No dildos come with the handle by default.
Packaging for this dildo sword handle is relatively large. The front of the box is a see-through panel that shows off the handle inside. The box is particularly large compared to the usual boxes of the sex toy variety, so you may not want to keep the box for storage. I do recommend keeping the handle somewhere soft and protected, though, as I imagine sharp objects will scratch up the paint and texturing relatively easily.
The Realm Drago Lock-On Dragon dildo sword handle is pretty much exactly as you’d imagine – and exactly as it looks. It’s a well-textured and well-painted handle that’s topped with a Lock On mechanism that attaches a dildo to the handle. At first, I thought the handle was relatively expensive for what it was, but after holding it in my hands, I see where the money goes. The handle is supremely textured and detailed. I mean, seriously. Small etchings along the detailed portions including the lion’s heads. The painting was specifically done to look “older”. I hope some of the review photos I took help show off how much detail was placed into various aspects of the handle.
One of the first questions I had was whether The Realm Drago Lock On Dragon Sword Dildo Handle will work okay with Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock items. After all, the Drago Dragon Sword Dildo Handle is actually a product of Blush Novelties – which isn’t affiliated with Doc Johnson. I tried it on a few Doc Johnson Vac-U-Locks I still have lying around, and yep, the dildos fit a-okay.
That being said, I’d honestly prefer to use it with The Realm dildos that were made for it. In fact, I purchased one myself just for the review – and to have a fully functional dildo sword, of course! All of The Realm dildos that are part of the The Realm line are silicone (for my peace of mind) while I have issues finding the same from Doc Johnson toys. To each their own, of course, but part of my deciding factor in enjoying The Realm Drago Lock On Dragon Sword Dildo Handle was the fact that the dildos designed for it were all body-safe.
But just to throw it out there, it does seem to work with standard Doc Johnson Vac-U-Lock dildos as well. (For a seamless “sword” look, though, I recommend using dildos that don’t have a discernible base)
Getting the dildo onto the handle is simple but requires some pressure. You’ll pretty much have to just shove it on there. The lube mentioned in the next paragraph helps a lot. But it’s mostly a matter of getting the internal chamber to grip around the various pronounced ridges of the handle, so it takes some pressure. Do NOT lube the exterior of the toy and handle before trying this or you will hate everything.
On that note, SheVibe includes a warning with the sword about sprinkling some lubricant into the dildo’s chamber before sliding it onto the sword, and I 100% agree with that. The Lock On design is, well, pretty damn secure. They want the dildo to stay on the sword handle despite suction and all of the thrusting you do with it. That means that it stays on – and it stays on well. While you want that while you’re fucking with it, you don’t really want that while you’re trying to pull it apart – only without that lube, all of that secure attachment remains.
So a sprinkling of lube onto the sword handle post or coating it in cornstarch really helps pull the two apart when you’re done. I recommend doing a quick rinse of body dildo and handle, drying them off, then pulling them apart with a good grip. Then doing another cleaning of the both of them once you’re done. Don’t forget to rinse really thoroughly into the chamber of the dildo because of the lube or starch that will be in there.
So, is The Realm Drago Lock-On Dragon Dildo Sword as amazing as it seems? Yep, pretty much. It turns any Vac-U-Lock or “Lock On” dildo into a “sword”. It’s not the most efficient handle for a dildo out there, but it’s definitely one of the most impressive. The dildo doesn’t slide off of the handle, and the textured handle works really nicely for grip. I have yet to have an issue with the dildo sword sliding around in my hand. It allows you to “wield” your dildo if you want as part of an elaborate costume or roleplay, and it transitions seamlessly into actually penetrating someone with it if you want as well.
It’s definitely worth noting that the sword and dildo combo together can get pretty hefty! The handle itself isn’t light, and holding the two in certain positions or motions can feel relatively tiring relatively quickly. I recommend finding a sex position (if you’re going to use The Realm Dragon Lock-On Dragon Dildo Sword for actual sex) where you’re not supporting too much of its weight as the “thruster”. For example, when my partner was laying flat on the bed on their back, the dildo would rest against the bed itself if I didn’t hold it up – which was tiring to keep up with. When my partner had their butt high in the air, gravity took care of a lot of it, and it was mostly stabilizing the heft of the handle and drawing it in and out. You might need to experiment with different positions to find a good one for you – and be particularly cautious if heavy toys aren’t your thing.
Depending on what type of play you do, you honestly shouldn’t get too much lube or bodily fluids onto the handle itself. If you do, I recommend warm water and a mild soap. The annoying thing about the handle is that – while beautiful – cleaning it from fluids is a bit of a hassle. I’d use a very soft cloth (to avoid scratching off the paint or texturing) and getting into the crevices as best as you can. Since the handle is decently removed from the “base” of the dildo itself, outside of errant lube application or going really hard with it, you shouldn’t get much lube onto the handle itself thankfully.
Overall, as long as you’re okay with a heavier handle, The Realm Drago Lock-On Dragon Sword Dildo Handle is a really fun roleplaying sex accessory for the bedroom. It’s beautiful, really makes a statement, and is compatible with a wide range of dildos on the market – including some body-safe silicone ones. Thanks to SheVibe for providing this dildo sword attachment for my The Realm Drago Lock-On Dragon Sword Dildo Handle review.
