The Couple’s Rabbit Vibrator Review

The Couple's Rabbit Vibrator Review

UPDATE DECEMBER 2022: The Rabbit Company Couple’s Rabbit appears to be discontinued – but the Rabbit Company itself is still going strong. This review remains for people who are interested in looking up information about this vibrating couple’s toy. While you’re here, why don’t you check out my BDSM advice, femdom advice, BDSM scene outlines, and 24/7 chastity training plan?

A new premise on the standard “rabbit vibrator”, The Rabbit Company has released The Couple’s Rabbit. Coated in soft, silky silicone, this rabbit vibrator is a remote-controlled vibrator designed for use during intercourse. Equipped with two separate motors, this sex toy features six patterns and multiple vibrational intensities to adjust your pleasure to exactly what you need. The Couple’s Rabbit is entirely USB rechargeable while the remote takes a single watch battery. The Couple’s Rabbit is splash proof.

This couple’s sex vibrator comes in pretty neat packaging. The outermost layer of the box is a thin cardboard sleeve that has information about the toy. Inside this sleeve, there’s a sturdy black box that holds the toy itself. When opened, the box reveals the Couple’s Rabbit Vibrator tucked nicely into a special-made mold for it. The remote also has its own spot. The box also includes information about taking care of your toy, a full user manual, and the charger for the toy. The box recommends allowing for a full charge before the first use – which takes about two hours. The toy can be stored within this original box and as its cardboard, a lot of it is recyclable.

When you first open the toy, the vibrator will be travel-locked to avoid it turning on during shipping. You’ll need to unlock it. Don’t worry; The Rabbit Company puts a cute little attached sign on the vibrator to remind you about it – and provide you the instructions to solve it.

The Couple's Rabbit Vibrator Review

The Couple’s Rabbit has a pretty basic – but functional – design. Designed as a U-shaped toy, one end of this vibrator (the flatter end) is slid into the vagina. The “bunny” end is left outside of the body to rest on the clitoris. This is designed to provide dual stimulation – both internally and externally. The internal portion is mostly flat – with a slight bump along the g-spot-facing side of the toy. The external portion has two little “bunny ears” that “flutter” when the vibration is turned on. Along with that, the external portion also has 12 little cylindrical “feelers” designed to hit the clitoral area as well. When the toy is unstretched, it’s a tight fit to slide my pinky between the two sides. With the toy stretched (under tension), it can fit my four fingers, in a line, between the two sides.

It’s worth noting that a sex toy like this – which assumes it “knows” the shape of your anatomy – is going to be very person-dependent. Every vagina has a different ratio between “clitoris to vaginal entrance to g-spot”. It’s not the same between every body. With this in mind, any toy that’s designed to hit multiple pleasure spots has to sorta “pick” a ratio that they think will work. It might be perfect for their test subjects. It might be perfect for other people who try it. But it *may not* be absolutely perfect for you, and that’s something to keep in mind. Something that hits spot-on for one person’s clitoris may be missing it by half an inch on another person. Taking some measurements of your anatomy before you start can be a good start – but even that is a starting guessing point.

As mentioned before, this cute sex toy is rechargeable. The “top” of the little bunny head, near the bunny ears, has two little magnetic triangles. This is where the magnetic charging cable attaches. Honestly, the charging cable attaches really nicely, and we didn’t have any issue with accidental disconnection – even though I primarily charge this one on the couch where it gets jostled around a lot. The “hat-like” design helps hold the charger in place, I’d guess. It will take approximately two hours for this vibrator to fully charge – and a solid light will come on to indicate when it’s fully charged.

The remote control, however, is not rechargeable. The remote comes with a single CR 2032 battery, and when the remote dies, you’ll need to replace that battery. The Rabbit Company recommends removing the cell battery from the remote for long-term storage to avoid battery concerns or corrosion. When it comes to changing the battery, though, the remote makes it pretty easy. It’s just a simple slip-off back cover. A bit of pressure and the back panel to the remote slides off easily. It doesn’t slide off unless you’re intended to remove the back plate. It’s honestly a pretty great design. I’ve had some remotes (and sex toys!) where the battery compartment is such a pain to get off. This one does not have that problem.

With something remote-controlled like this, it’s important to know how to use it. And The Rabbit Company gave you a couple of different, easy-to-use options. The toy can be used with the remote – or it can be used by just pressing the buttons on the vibrator itself.

To control the toy manually, just press the single button on the shaft of the toy. Once the light turns on, you can then press the button again to cycle through the six vibration patterns. There’s only the single steady vibration mode – and then five other patterns. The button can get pretty slippery during sex (lube and bodily fluids tend to be in that area), and it can be hard to get ahold of the toy well enough to press the button down for manual use – but it can be done. I wouldn’t recommend it when you have the remote right here waiting to make your job easier, but hey – your choice. Holding the button down for two seconds on The Couple’s Rabbit vibrator will turn off the toy entirely.

To control the toy with the remote, you first need to make sure both sides are powered (with batteries and with a full charge). You then do a single quick press on the vibrator. And then a press of the power button on the remote. The light on the vibrator will become solid once the two are paired, and then you’re free to enjoy controlling the couple’s sex toy with the included remote. The remote allows for a whole lot more flexibility when controlling the sex toy, and you can cycle through those six previously-mentioned patterns – only this time, you can adjust the vibration’s intensity on each pattern. So you can have soft steady vibrations or strong steady vibrations – or a soft zig-zag pattern, or whatever it is that you want. When done, both the remote and the couple’s sex toy can be turned off easily with their respective power buttons.

Once you have the toy on, the vibrations are decent. They aren’t super powerful, but they aren’t super weak. If you’re sensitive to vibrations, the vibrations might be enough for orgasm. If you aren’t sensitive to vibrations, you’ll likely need some added stimulation (like the pressing of the toy itself) for that orgasm. The vibrations can feel a bit on the buzzy side, and depending on my mood, I may just leave them off entirely while using the toy. (Reasons mentioned below). As for the noise they make, the vibrations are pretty quiet. Even on the loudest setting, it becomes nearly impossible to hear the vibrations while using the toy when two bodies are pressed together.

The vibrations seem to originate from the “bunny ears” side of The Couple’s Rabbit. This means that they’ll be strongest near the clitoral portion – which is where most people want them anyway. You can definitely still feel them within the internal version – and it’s a surprising strength too. Probably at least 70% of the clitoral side’s power is in the g-spot side. The toy’s information actually says that The Couple’s Rabbit actually features two separate motors, so it’s possible that there’s a motor within the internal portion as well.

Of course, we had to give it some other trials to see exactly how well the remote function worked with this one. And honestly, the remote functions pretty well. During bedroom use with clothes off, we found absolutely no issue with connectivity. It connected as described, was near-instant to respond, and worked flawlessly. It definitely was a very smooth experience – which is not something I can say about all remote-controlled sex toys. I have to say, it’s really nice to be able to control the vibrations on a couple’s sex toy like this during sex without actually having to stop sex, reach between bodies, *hope* you can get a good grip on the toy, and then try to push the buttons on it. The remote really streamlines a lot of it, and things can be really nicely and easily changed during sex without interrupting flow at all. It’s so nice.

This may not be your “best” option for outdoor and public play. This vibrator definitely seems pretty intently designed for intercourse usage. You might be able to get away with using this in public if you get a really tight pair of panties to help hold the vibrator in. But we’ve found that being upright for long periods of time tends to cause The Couple’s Rabbit to slowly slide out of the body. The remote has seemed to work okay through clothing – though occasionally the vibrator is a bit slow to respond to commands – but it doesn’t seem to disconnect or ignore all commands completely. The biggest issue we found with any upright, public play is just that the vibrator tends to slide out of the body. You could possibly use it, public-wise, when you’re planning on sitting down for the majority of the time, but it’d still be a bit difficult to make it there without the toy sliding it. It’s possible you could bring it to a restaurant, slip off to the bathroom to slide it in and connect the remote, and then get back to the table okay. That one will likely be a short-enough standing period that the toy will still be in. You’re probably better off with a panty vibrator.

When it comes to using The Couple’s Rabbit, I have to admit that the toy is a bit “clampy”. This may be awesome – or may be terrible – depending on what type of stimulation you enjoy. On one hand, it tends to keep the toy from easily sliding out – and I really enjoy firm pressure, so the “clamping” onto my clitoral area can feel pleasurable. On the other hand, if you prefer softer pressure or find that strong pressure on the clitoral area can hurt, the Couple’s Rabbit is probably going to be overkill for you.

The “rabbit ears” of The Couple’s Vibrator are up in the air for me, though. I’m not entirely sure what to make of them. They do offer a bit of extra, added stimulation, but it mostly seems to “miss the mark” for me. The ears hit above my clitoris – which isn’t exactly where I’d like the vibrations to be. But it’s a bit of extra added sensation, and it’s not entirely on a bad spot, so it’s just kinda…there. It might hit the spot better for you, but then again, if the bunny “ears” are on the clitoris, you’re going to miss the protruding textured nub that I love so much for clitoral sensation, so it’s a bit of a trade-off – and it’ll just depend on your anatomy.

That all being said, this is one of the few couple’s vibrator toys that can make me orgasm without needing any manual stimulation. It’s not really because of the vibrations – those are okay – though honestly a bit buzzy. Most couple’s vibrators like this are usually flat on both sides of the toy – and are very, very flexible in the middle. This means that the toy never really provides the pleasant pressure that I enjoy for masturbation and orgasm. It usually rests on the area and can vibrate – which can be pleasant, but I don’t think I’ve found a couple’s vibrator that can get me to orgasm from vibrations alone – they aren’t usually strong enough. That being said, The Couple’s Rabbit is different. Instead of being flat, the clitoral area has a protruding “nub” that sticks out – and rests between the labia against the clitoris when you get it situated correctly. Along with that, the firmer center joint means that it actually stays a bit “clampy” – as described above – which continually puts pressure on my clitoris in a nice way. So when a partner thrusts? Well, that moves the vibrator firmly against my body in a very pleasant way. Enough of that, and it’s orgasmic. The vibrations don’t honestly even need to be on. It’s just a really nice, straight-forward design.

Internal-wise, I enjoy the internal vibrations and movement from The Couple’s Rabbit, but it’s not a must-have for me. It doesn’t quite hit my g-spot, but I have a pretty deep g-spot to begin with. That being said, it still feels nice, and if nothing else, it’s a good anchor for the clitoral portion of the toy. Oh, and my partner really loves the feel of it as well. He says he can definitely feel the vibrations of the toy during sex, and it’s definitely pleasurable for him as well.

That being said, the things that *I* love in it may not be the things that you love in it. If you hate firm pressure, The Couple’s Rabbit may not be a good fit. I love it, though, and as one of the few couple’s intercourse toys out there that can provide it, I’ll admit that I’m hoarding mine a little bit.

Not entirely waterproof, you’ll need to be a bit careful when cleaning The Couple’s Rabbit. While the toy is splashproof, any direct water hitting the toy could possibly kill it, so I’d really just recommend erring on the side of caution. Use a slightly damp washcloth with anti-bacterial soap and give the toy a nice scrub-down after every use. For added safety, I’d recommend an extra scrub-down before most uses as well. Don’t forget to pay extra attention to the textured “clitoral” area because the texture makes it a bit harder to clean there. Be careful around the charging port, and you’ll likely be set.

Overall, The Couple’s Rabbit is a fantastic toy if you love strong, constant clitoral pressure during sex. The clitoral portion feels amazing (and orgasmic!) for me while the internal portion is a treat for my partner. The remote seems to function seamlessly and without any problems while offering a really seamless way to change functions right in the middle of intercourse with no frustration. Thanks to The Rabbit Company for providing this couple’s sex toy for my The Couple’s Rabbit review.
