Much like everything else on the Mr. Hankey’s Toys store, the BFG is a big-ass dildo designed for those who love thick and long toys. Made entirely from body-safe silicone, the BFG is one of their more-textured toys – and one of their most fantasy-looking toys as well. Like all Mr. Hankey’s Toys, you have a few customization options. You can choose the size, the color, and the rigidity of the silicone. For a small fee, you can also add a Vac-U-Lock hole into the base of your dildo – if you happen to use any of the Vac-U-Lock system.
This particular review covers the Medium BFG dildo in Medium Firmness. Personally, I think they really missed a good opportunity to call it the “BFD” – the Big Fucking Dildo. But y’know, personal preference. The Medium (which seems ridiculously huge compared to most of my other toys) is 11″ in total length with a circumference of 10″ at the widest point (the knot). The full list of measurements is available on the product page on the Mr. Hankey’s Toys website.
Like previous Mr. Hankey’s Toys packages, this box was shipped entirely discreetly. It was in a plain, brown box with no excess wording on it. Inside, as a second layer of protection, the dildo itself was wrapped in a plain, black bag that isn’t see-through. The only way to tell what’s in the bag would be to open the bag itself. That being said, Mr. Hankey’s Toys doesn’t include any other further packaging. Care instructions and everything else can be found on their website. You open the box, and you get a dildo in a bag – ready to play after a quick wash.
The BFG definitely stands out because of its sheer size and it’s sheer attention to detail. I know a lot of silicone dildo companies claim they have textures or detailed designs, but Mr. Hankey’s Toys tends to be put most of them to shame. Even on my previous review comparing Mr. Hankey’s Dildos to Bad Dragon, it was clear which toy came out ahead.
^^The BFG dildo compared to a one of the largest offerings of another dildo company.
Don’t forget about the size too. Mr. Hankey’s Toys prides itself on offering some of the largest, strap-on friendly silicone dildos out there – and they achieve that perfectly. The BFG dildo, in the “Medium” size, is within the top 10 of “largest dildos I own” – and that’s a huge collection. Even in its smallest size, the BFG is huge. Amazing, but definitely huge. Make sure you pay special attention to the dildo’s measurements before picking it up to purchase. Actually pull out a measuring tape and measure exactly what size the dildo is. Numbers can seem kinda small when just on a page, but the reality of this dildo is definitely not-small. I’d hate for you to build up all that excitement over the dildo – just to find it too large to actually use.
When it comes to strap-on use, any of the Mr. Hankey’s Toys dildos aren’t kidding around. They’re hefty, they’re large, and they’re very, very attention-grabbing. They also are occasionally too large for use in various “built-in O-ring” strap-on harnesses like my beloved Spareparts Joque harness. I love my Joque, but the knot the BFG Medium dildo is just too much. It’s not happening. So with that in mind, I haven’t really gotten to try this dildo with a harness that I love. I have a custom-ordered, O-ring-switchable harness on order, but I haven’t received it yet. Mr. Hankey’s Toys sells a strap-on harness designed to be capable for the big toys that they sell, so that’s always an option to consider. Mr. Hankey’s Toys is also fantastic about listing what O-ring size you’re going to need in the product measurements before you purchase. This is really helpful information.
So what I’m saying is: You’re pretty much going to need a strap-on harness that has interchangeable O-rings. And for this dildo in particular, you need an O-ring of 3″. Honestly, if you plan on making Mr. Hankey’s Toys a regular part of your sex life, you really should get a harness designed for their heft and weight. Regular interchangeable O-ring harnesses can definitely work, but you have to remember that this dildo is noticeably heavier than “standard” dildos – so it really requires more straps and support if you want it to be comfortable when attached to your waist. That’s where strap-on harnesses designed for big-ass toys come in. Like I said, you can definitely choose to use this in a standard harness, but it may not be so comfortable that way. Make sure to take that into account when playing with large toys like the BFG.
As another note, if you have this toy in Medium Firmness like we do, you can expect the toy to stand up at attention when in a harness. It has a very, very slight droop to it (just from the heft of the toy’s top half dragging the top half down), but the toy doesn’t droop much more than that. It still retains its lovely curved head. It still pretty much stands directly at attention when worn on a strap-on harness. If you’re going for a very “powerful strap-on wearer” look, this dildo can help you achieve it. It’s a very nice visual to look at.
And how does this toy feel? Regardless of whether you choose to strap it on or not, the toy will have a sensation – and you can just-as-easily use this toy on someone with your hands. According to my “demo bottom”, the dildo is very, very filling. It’s hard to ignore its presence when using it – which makes sense. He says that the tip of the dildo is absolutely amazing for quick, smaller thrusts – because it hits the prostate perfectly. He still hasn’t been able to take the entirety of the knot, but he says that the texture along the shaft is surprisingly noticeable during use. He really notices the “bubbles-texture” near the knot – as well as the pronounced head of the dildo. This has become one of his most-requested dildos for when I want to do some manual “shoving of dildos into his body”. He still can’t take the full length (hey! It’s a goal to work up to!), but he absolutely loves the dildo itself. And he’s had more-than-one hands-free prostate orgasm from this dildo. Seriously – that curved tip is absolutely amazing for hitting a shallower prostate.
(Hand-holding-wise, the base is a fantastic “gripping” point for the dildo. If I lube with a glove, I can keep my hands pretty much lube-free for holding the base during use. This works so much better for getting good leverage for penetrating.)
I also care a lot about how easily it slides into “tight” penetrative holes. As a strap-on wearer, if the dildo buckles under pressure when trying to slide it in anally, it’s going to be an aggravating experience – especially if the position means I can’t actually see the dildo trying to get into its intended hole. The Medium Firmness is a perfect firmness to avoid this problem. The dildo, while it definitely does have a bit of flexibility (and tends to buckle towards the curvature that the dildo was made with), is still relatively rigid. It’s firm enough to hold its shape – while also being plushy if you give it a squeeze. It’s really a fantastic compromise point.
And that being said, it’s definitely a lovely plushness. In this Medium Firmness, expect the girth to feel like every inch that it has – it doesn’t squish down to a smaller size like some toys – but it also does have some squish to it. It doesn’t feel like a rigid toy with no give. The tip of the toy is the most plushy and soft while the knot feels relatively firm with minimal squish. Like I said, it’s really a nice mixture between the two.
The silicone isn’t too tacky – but it isn’t entirely smooth either. Your fingers don’t glide over it, but they don’t “stick” to it either. It’s, again, a nice mixture in-between. The silicone does tend to absorb lubricant a bit, though, so overlubricate the first time you apply lube to this big silicone dildo during each play session. Once it has a coat or two, it tends to absorb less, and we have no problems with needing a ton more lube after that point.
As this beautiful dildo is made entirely of waterproof silicone, it’s honestly decently easy to clean. You’ll need to use warm water and anti-bacterial soap to give this guy a good scrubdown. Make sure to scrub relatively thoroughly – or maybe even use a thin washcloth to help you get into the crevices. Because of all of the texture of the BFG silicone dildo, while easy in method to clean, it does require a bit more effort to make sure the toy is actually “clean”. While I’d normally recommend boiling to sterilize your dildo, the BFG presents an interesting problem: I don’t actually own a pot large enough to fit it to boil and sterilize it. Oops. So you’d likely want to use a water and bleach bath to sterilize this toy if you want to go beyond the standard soap and water routine. For lubricant, make sure to use water-based lubes – or if you want to use silicone-based spot test it on the base to ensure the two are compatible first. Some silicone-based lubricants can destroy silicone-material toys. Storage-wise, you might be a bit out of luck finding easy toy bags (or even plastic bags) to store your new strap-on silicone dildo. Either use the bag it came in or consider wrapping it in saran wrap or other material to keep it clean between uses.
Overall, like all of the Mr. Hankey’s Toys, the BFG silicone dildo is high-quality, well-detailed, and perfect for anal or vaginal use. The texture throughout the shaft provides a very-filling, unique sensation with every inch, and the curved tip hits the g-spot or p-spot pretty reliably. It has a nice, think base that lends itself well to a strap-on – at least, if you have a harness that’s large enough to fit the dildo’s girth. It doesn’t “bend” too much under pressure – which makes for easier penetration. And with the pronounced textures all over the length of the dildo, you get a new sensation with every inch. It’s a fantastic fantasy-designed dildo from Mr. Hankey’s Toys – and with this type of detail, I hope they continue their exploration into fantasy dildos. Thanks to Mr. Hankey’s Toys for providing this huge strap-on silicone dildo for my Mr. Hankey’s Toys BFG review.
