UPDATE NOVEMBER 2023: The Rocks-Off Wild Boy is a much-older model that has been placed many times since this review originally came out. I recommend looking into the Rude Boy X-treme if you like the looks of this. This sex toy review remains as a reference for anyone who’s interested in the Rocks-Off Wild Boy. While you’re here, check out my femdom advice, BDSM advice, and sex toy advice.
Based on the award-winning “Rude-Boy” offered from Rocks-Off, the Wild Boy offers more texture and width than the standard “Rude-Boy” that many have fallen in love with. This prostate vibrator is waterproof and offers 7 speeds of vibration. This prostate massager is made from silicone and includes the batteries needed for operation. The Wild Boy is a vibrating toy that comes in two parts: the silicone “Wild Boy” sleeve itself and a RO-80mm Rocks-Off bullet vibrator that can be removed.
The Wild Boy comes in standard, yet classy, sex toy packaging. It gives a clear view of the vibrator inside, but the packaging is mostly designed to be disposable, so you won’t have much of a reason to keep it around after you get the toy out of it. There is some basic information on the back and sides of the box to tell you a bit more about the toy you’ve ordered.
Standard to a lot of the Rocks-Off toys, the vibrations from this prostate massager comes from a removable vibrating bullet that slides into the silicone “shell” of the prostate massager. The vibrator then vibrates the entire silicone portion. If you don’t want to use the vibrations, you can just leave the vibrator out, and if you would rather upgrade to a stronger or different bullet vibrator, that can be done as well.
When it comes to the exterior texture on the silicone shell, the “Wild Boy” is different than a lot of the other Rocks-Off sexual products. It has an interesting texture on both ends. The insertive end features a slight twisting texture to it that runs around the shaft. The texture is definitely noticeable while inserting – especially if you haven’t used enough lube – but it doesn’t seem to make too much of a difference once it’s in. It does look pretty neat though. The exterior/perineal portion of the vibrator has a “dotted” texture along it. This texture is a lot more noticeable on the exterior skin of the body. We’ve found that it causes some annoyance and pain if you’re rubbing against it unless you’ve very lightly lubed it. The lubricant helps turn those bumps into a pleasant sensation instead of an annoying one.
The vibrator is really easy to control, and if you’ve ever used a bullet vibrator, it takes a similar structure to it. Just press the button and watch the vibrations come to life! Yeah, that’s it, really.
When the vibrator is inserted, the bullet will usually be located near the testicle area, so it does make it easier to control the vibrations. There isn’t too much awkward hand-reaching that has to go on unless you insert it a different way.
Because the vibrator is just slid into the solid silicone, it doesn’t transfer vibrations as well as if the vibrating motor had been built in. You can still feel the vibrations throughout the tip, but if you’re depending on harder vibrations to provide prostate pleasure, this is not the toy for this. If you usually enjoy non-vibrating prostate toys and was just hoping to add a little bit of extra sensation to your prostate pleasure, the “Wild Boy” works great. Most of the vibrations tend to be felt along the perineal area (since that’s where the vibrator is located). You can still feel them in the tip, but don’t expect them to be earth-shattering.
Changing out the bullet vibrator to a stronger vibrator does help (though the RO-80mm bullet vibrator isn’t bad in strength for a bullet vibe), but the design means that the prostate tip will never receive the full intensity of the vibrations.
The Wild Boy prostate massager was designed to fit most body shapes, though. The joining “center” part of the silicone does have some flexibility to it. Both of the sides of the vibrator are a lot more rigid (though not entirely rigid), but that interior connector bit has some flexibility that will allow it to properly “stretch” to fit onto most people’s bodies. The plug doesn’t have a lot of stretch, though, so once it’s in place, expect the toy to make a bit of a “clamping” motion onto your body. This will add more stimulation to the perineal area while you’re using it.
The curve of the Wild Boy may be able to hit your prostate, but it seems to be a bit of hit-or-miss. Sometimes it seems to work well and sometimes it doesn’t. It seems to matter how my partner is laying. Laying in more of a “curled up” position seems to help the Wild Boy hit its mark better while laying flat seems to mean it misses that pleasure spot. More arousal and experimenting with positions might help you find where it hits best; I wish it was a bit longer and included a bit more of a curve to it. I think that’d help hit the spot better for most.
Cleaning is made easier by the fact that the vibrator pulls out from the silicone casing. Both the silicone “Wild Boy” and the bullet vibrator that slides into it are waterproof, so it’s really easy to clean. Just use warm water and anti-bacterial soap and clean each piece separately. Make sure to clean inside the bullet’s cavern – especially if you added lubricant to it. You can boil or use a water/bleach solution on the Wild Boy sleeve itself for further cleaning. For lubricant, water-based lubes tend to work better for silicone toys, so keep that in mind.
As a “pro tip”, if you’re looking to make it easier to remove the bullet, is to put a drop of lubricant onto the bullet and twist it as you slide it in. It’ll lubricate the interior of the chamber and make it easier to slide out later for cleaning. Just make sure you slide it out for cleaning or you’ll have dried lube, and that’s not fun at all.
Overall, If you like texture and would like something a bit more substantial than the look of the Rude Boy, I think the “Wild Boy” could be a better choice for you. It’s not my partner’s favorite prostate massager out there, but it does seem to work in some positions. I think a bit of design change and some stronger vibrations would really help it stand out, but if you were a fan of the “Rude Boy” or other Rocks-Off toys and wanted a larger and textured change, this could be a good toy for you. Thanks to Good Vibrations for providing this prostate massager for my Wild Boy sex toy review.
