Crossdressing Men’s Moulin Rouge Corset Review

The Men’s Moulin Rouge Corset is a satin polyester/cotton corset made specifically as crossdresser lingerie and sold by XDress. It includes plastic boning, and it can be purchased in Small through 3XL. It comes in a vibrant purple color and includes laces and bows on it and is about 15 inches in length. This corset is strapless, and it is specifically designed to fit on the male body.

The sizing for this male lingerie corset is pretty accurate. You know how, if you’re a male who usually buys female clothing, you always want to accomodate for your shoulders? Well, with XDress crossdressing corsets, you don’t have to as the corsets were specifically made for male bodies. Pay attention to the waist and chest measurements while deciding which size to choose, but with our medium, it fit very nicely on his body. It’s pretty true-to-size. If you aren’t used to corsets and how tightly they are meant to go (which may be true if you haven’t worn many female corsets before), you may want to order a size up.

The boning in this corset appears to be plastic boning. This means that it will not trim or pull in the waist nearly as much as steel boning would. This works fine as steel boning would skyrocket the price of this corset, but be aware that, although it’s going to make you appear smaller and pull you in some, it’s not going to give you extremely drastic results with reduction in waist size. You can get a slight effect with the corset, but the boning will start to bend before you have too drastic of results. Just keep that in mind when ordering.

My partner says this crossdressing corset is pretty comfortable too – for a corset, I mean. He says that the lace doesn’t scratch the skin, and the soft satin material feels nice against the skin. He says that the corset can feel pretty restricting (like it’s supposed to), but he also mentions that he can usually breathe just fine in it even when it’s fully laced up. He mentions that it does improve his posture because he’s always remembering to sit up straight, and it does help him look skinnier just because of his change in posture and everything being pulled in.

The only downside to this corset is, that because it’s strapless, it will tend to emphasize wide and large shoulders. The corset does a good job of “staying up” (unlike tube tops) even if you don’t have a chest to hold it up, which is nice, but it will tend to accentuate the shoulders a bit more because there’s nothing “going on” above the bust line. It does make the shoulders and collarbone look more sexy, though, which is always nice, and if you want to deemphasize the shoulders, a small shrug or jacket would help.

Something to keep in mind is that this corset may be difficult to lace up on your own unless you have experience self-lacing corsets. There is a row of hook&eye side fastening on the side along with the lacing in the back, but it works best if you fasten the hook & eye and then do adjustments to the corset via the lacing in the back to give it a perfect and snug fit. If worst comes to worst, you can put it on yourself as long as you leave the lacing alone and just refasten the hook and eye closure when by yourself.

The corset isn’t too difficult to pair with clothing items. If you want a more demure look, you can pair it with a pair of jeans and a cardigan (the cardigan can help mask larger shoulders too). For a lingerie-type look, you can wear the corset along with some panties, or if you want something a bit more dressy, I loved the XDress example of using a petticoat or skirt with the corset for something very flirty and feminine.

For cleaning, it should be handwashed. As long as you are gentle with it and don’t get bodily fluids on it, though, it can go a couple wearings without needing to be cleaned. We haven’t had to wash it quite yet, but when we do, I do think it will have to be handwashed because of the design.

Overall, if you want a corset for a crossdresser, which can help eliminate the length, shoulder, and hip issues with a female-sized one, this one is really cute. It’d be more cinching if it had steel boning, but the plastic boning does help cinch up a bit, shape the body, and create a slight waist as well. Thanks to XDress for providing this crossdresser lingerie for my Men’s Moulin Rouge Corset review.
