UPDATE DECEMBER 2023: This adult game is no longer in production. While you’re here, why not check out some additional educational info – like online submissive tasks, beginner pegging positions, saran wrap bondage, and enema 101 info.

“How Well Do You Know the Bride?” is a bachelorette and bridal shower board game made by Ball & Chain. The game includes 9 trivia cards and 12 score cards, and it’s made to be the perfect game for both bridal showers or bachelorette parties. Inside the box, 21 large cards include information and blank lines on them.

The rules for the game are pretty simple. All of the rules are listed on the box, and there is no specific instruction card included in the set. The bridal/bachelorette/focused person of the game asks each question, and each person in the group writes down their answer on their score card. After all of the questions are answered, the focal person will go through all of the questions again and say her answer. The person who got the most questions right will win! If you need to save on time, you can only do some of the categories and not all of them.

The cards themselves

The game was created for 2-12 players. There are twelve scorecards included in the game, so if you have more than twelve, you can easily photocopy the cards to get more “scorecards” or you can split the more-than-12 people into teams. Remember that you want to have a back-up plan if you plan on using this game more than once as it only comes with the 12 score cards. You may want to take photocopies of the game cards before playing if you know you’ll play it more than once.

The design of the game is pretty basic. I wouldn’t expect any breathtaking design from the cards, but it certainly gets the job done. Each one of the cards has a design on the front of the card and then the text/lines on the back of the card. The cards are laminated which does make them a tad bit difficult to write on, and you’ll want to make sure you have pens on-hand to write on them well. Pencils don’t work. If you prefer (and want to re-use the game), I recommend making photocopies (for personal use only) of the scorecards as there are only 12 scorecards included with the game. If the players write directly on the cards and you have 12 players, that means that you won’t be able to use the cards again.

The backsides of the cards

There are 21 cards. Twelve of these cards are the score cards. 6 of the score cards say “How Well do you know the Bride?” and the other 6 say “How Well do you know the Bachelorette?”. They’re the same on the opposing side, but their back is different. It may not matter to you, so it may not even be noticeable. The other 8 cards are the question cards that the focal person will use. There’s a design on the back-side of each card, and on the front, each card contains about eight questions to ask the others. Some of the categories have multiple cards because they have more than 8 questions that go to the category. There’s “The Couple”, “Her Favorite Things”, “Historical Facts”, “The Wedding”, “Her Family”, and “Her Sex Life”. Obviously, you may want to include or exclude categories as you need to depending on who is attending the party or what the focal person is comfortable with.

The questions on the cards

Some of the questions include: What is her birthdate? What is her favorite restaurant? How did they meet? Who is the ring bearer? Does she have any pets? What types of underwear does she wear?

As far as fun goes, it’s an okay game. It depends on the group of people that you gather. If you have a fun-loving group of people, you really should have a blast. If the focal person keeps the questions coming quickly and the guests chat and giggle amongst themselves, you’ll have a great time. You just have to keep the socialization level up with this game in order to have the most fun. The questions themselves don’t provide the majority of the entertainment, but instead, it’s what you do with the questions that will be the best application of the game.

Do keep in mind that some of these questions may be awkward for parents/adults/non-close friends. The “Her Sex Life” questions certainly could be awkward if a mother was present as “How loud is she in bed?” is certainly not something I want to answer near my mother. You can just exclude those questions from the game, but keep in mind that the blank spaces will still appear on the answer cards. Aside from the sex life questions, the rest of the questions should be non-close-friend appropriate. The questions are not too difficult, but you may find that your close friends can easily answer quite a few of them, so the game may need to be skewed in order to make it fair to non-close-friends if they are present.

Showing that the cards come surrounded by cardboard

My favorite use for the game was just between the two of us. As you might not know, I’m not doing a bridal shower or anything like that, but we still got a group of friends together to play the game. For the most fun, though, it was fun to ask my submissive these questions and see if he knew the answers. Did he know my birthday? Did he know my favorite items? From there, it sparked a lot of conversation so that we could continue to be able to get to know each other better.

Overall, the game is a good game, but I wouldn’t expect a ton from it. It’s going to make it easy to get to know the bride/focal person better, but it really is a no-frills game that everyone will be able to understand straight out of the box. Don’t expect there to be too many features to it, but if you do need a good, basic game that will provide entertainment for large groups of people (like at a play party!) while being customizable, this game can do a good job.
