The My Mini Massager Pleasure Kit is a kit of a wand massager and accessories manufactured by California Exotics. The kit includes two attachments, the wand massager, and the plug-in and cord for the wand massager. The entire wand is phthalate-free with a head made of PVC and the attachments and massager made of TPE. The head has a diameter of slightly over an inch (not counting the attachment area) while the massager is about six inches long with a curve towards the base.
The packaging is pretty basic. You shouldn’t expect to keep the toy in the packaging as the plastic box does tend to squish really easily, and it doesn’t hold up well to support the toy if the plastic tray is out. The toy is clearly visible from the packaging, and the items are all placed in a plastic tray. Because of the electric charger, the My Mini Massager Pleasure Kit does end up feeling a bit hefty in the packaging, but the toy itself is not that heavy. Most of the packaging is not recyclable.
The kit itself is pretty neat. It basically contains everything you need to make this massager pleasure externally or internally.
Straight out of the box, it has a PVC smell to it. It isn’t overwhelming nor does it stick to your hands after you’ve used it, but it’s certainly something that you can smell.
Adjusting the attachments is easy. There is a little “tube” that sticks out of the head of the massager, and both of the attachments attach to this tube really nicely. They don’t seem to wiggle or pop out after you’ve attached them, and I’ve had no problems with getting them on or off either. They seem to stay on well through suction. The only downside that I do see is the fact that this “tube” that sticks out of the side of your wand massager doesn’t ever seem to go away. There is no replacement head or anything like that, so you always have to have one of the two heads on the toy at all times. You really can’t just use the head itself as the inside of this tube has nothing in it, and you’ll get bodily fluids in the hole that will be a giant pain to clean. So you pretty much have to have one of the attachments on the massager at all times which is certainly my biggest complaint about this; sometimes, I’d love to just use the head without an attachment.
This vibrator is powered by a cord. That means that it does need to be plugged into an outlet to work. It’s not rechargeable; it just works through the power in the cord, so it has to be plugged in during use. This means that this massager is absolutely NOT waterproof!
The power cord unplugs from the base of the massager when it is not in use and makes it easier to store. The base of the plug fits really snugly into the base of the massager, and unless you tend to take the cord too far away from the outlet, I haven’t had any issues with it unplugging itself. The cord is about three feet long, so as long as you have a nearby outlet, you should have no problems with the cord not being able to reach.
The vibrations are INTENSE. If you find that some vibrators are just too strong for you, this is really not for you. This vibrator goes from “Woah” to “HOLY CRAP’. Basically. It’s a bit buzzier than the Hitachi’s vibration strength, but it’s getting up there to rival the strength of the Hitachi. It certainly has power behind it!
With great power, though, unfortunately, comes great vibration noise. You can definitely hear this vibrator through a closed door and certainly in the same room. It’s not as loud as a blender, but it’s about the same amount of noise (a different type, but the same noise level) as when my cell phone rings on the high volume setting. That’s not a bad thing when you consider the immense amount of power that it puts out, but if you are sensitive to sounds like you play, the toy might distract you.
At the same time, I’m impressed by how well the vibrations travel through the attachments. The head of the massager is certainly the strongest part, but when you place the attachments up against your body, you can certainly feel the attachments vibrate very strongly. So if your attention has drifted toward the attachments, you can be assured that you can still feel the vibrations through the attachments.
The attachments are interesting – to say the least. I can’t honestly say that I’m as fond of the attachments as I could be. This is mostly because it doesn’t seem like either attachment was really meant for internal use, and that’s usually why most people put attachments on their wand massagers – because they want to insert them. The long, flat attachment does require a lot more lubricant than the other attachment for use, but if you lube it up really well and have it warmed up, it can feel somewhat like a tongue. Because of how it attaches to the wand, though, you really can’t make it “lick”, but you can lay it against your body. The little dot-like attachment is a bit odd as well. For some reason, California Exotics included a hole at the tip of the attachment. As this is where you’d normally be using it, bodily fluids do get into this hole, and it can be a pain to clean.
During use, this little vibrator is STRONG! If you require stronger vibrations for orgasm, this little wand massager should be just fine for you. The only big issue is how to place the vibrator on yourself. If you don’t want to use the attachments, you’re a bit out of luck. The vibrator curves slightly at the handle towards the attachment and the controls are on that side as well. That means that you’re supposed to be using that side (at least, that’s how it seems) on your body for stimulation. As I wasn’t fond of either of the attachments, I would have happily used the non-attachment side (though it was a bit awkward), but it felt really awkward with the handle pointing the opposite direction and the controls being on the opposite side too. It’s usable, but it does feel a bit awkward unless you want to use the attachments when you use it.
For cleaning, you want to make sure that you keep it away from the majority of the water. Because this toy is electric, CERTAINLY make sure that you do not have it plugged in while you wash it. Unplug it first. Then attempt to keep the water away from the base of the toy or any open areas. For me, I just wet down a damp washcloth and put soap and washed it that way. I normally run my toys under running water, but in this case, it’s better safe than sorry. This vibrator is compatible with all types of lubricant, and for storage, the material doesn’t seem to pick up lint, so you should be free to store this vibrator wherever you’d like.
Overall, I like the strength, I like the small size, and I love the idea of including the attachments right in it. However, when it’s really difficult to use it without the attachments and I’m not too fond of the attachments, it does put a damper on the massager itself. I wish there were different attachment options and that the massager wasn’t entirely designed with the attachment use in mind.
