Ophoria K-Balls Smooth Review

Ophoria K-Balls Smooth
The K-Balls

UPDATE MAY 2022: This kegel balls are no longer in production. This sex toy review remains as a reference for those who are interested. While you’re here, why not check out my BDSM advice, femdom advice, and BDSM scene outlines?

The Ophoria K-Balls Smooth come in purple, pink, and blue. The K-Balls are smooth with no texture on them, and they are made from silicone with a silicone retrieval string. Each one of the little balls has a smaller, weighted ball inside of it for stimulation, and they come with a one-year warranty from the manufacturer.

The packaging on the Ophoria K-Balls Smooth is actually a little bit frustrating. The packaging resembles one of those electronic packagings you can get in the store – you know, the ones where all the edges are pressed together and can’t easily be opened without scissors or some other sharp objects? That’s what the packaging is like. However, if you look around, there is a little pull-tab on the back-side of the packaging where you can easily open the sex toy through the back. Once you do that, though, you do have to deal with the edges. The edges of the box (even after you use the pull tab) are sharp, and you will scratch yourself; I know I did attempting to get the instruction manual out which is attached to the top piece of the box. However, the box does keep it safe until it gets to you, but it is not suitable for storage.

The vaginal exercisers in my hand

I’m very impressed by the instructions that were included with the Ophoria K-Balls. The little pamphlet gives you information about how to clean the vaginal exercisers, how to store them, how to dispose of them, and of course, it gives step-by-step instructions on how to insert and use the exercisers. It also talks about the benefits of using them and gives product specifications. The instructions will certainly be helpful if you haven’t used vaginal exercisers before.

The idea behind the K-Balls is that you can insert the balls, and the movement and weight of the sex toy will cause you to work your vaginal muscles to keep in the toy. Each one of the K-Balls has a small, weighted ball inside of it that moves when you move, so again, it’s supposed to draw your attention to the area and make you work harder on the vaginal muscles that are there to do a version of Kegel exercises. I can’t seem to find the weight information about these balls, but they are average in weight compared to other sets. The silicone string is set in the K-Balls to make retrieval easy, and it can be pulled on really roughly without the string breaking.

So how well do they work? The interesting thing about the K-Balls is that, while they’re made of silicone, they don’t seem to have the same amount of drag in the material that almost all other silicone toys have. I’m not sure why this is. They feel like an odd mixture between plastic and silicone, and it makes for an interesting texture for the K-Balls. The drag of the silicone helps keep the vaginal balls inserted because it’s more difficult for them to slip out.

With the K-Balls, though, and the plastic-like material, they actually seem to slip out much more easily – especially when you consider that they actually have no texture to them. This actually makes them much harder to retain than their silicone counterparts such as the Je Joue Ami, the Teneo sets, the Luna Beads, or almost all other vaginal exercisers. The weights may not be any heavier, but the material of the K-Balls does make them more difficult to retain. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing though.

The packaging for the K-Balls

If you have used other vaginal exercisers and find them too easy to retain or don’t feel like they are working your vaginal muscles, moving onto the K-Balls can present more of a challenge. Because the vaginal balls are the same as balls you’ve used in the past – except more slippery – you’ll still be familiar with the sensations of using these vaginal exercisers, but you just won’t be able to retain them quite as easily, so it gives a better work-out. Compared to my silicone exercisers, I know that I have to focus on actually retaining these which means I’m getting much more of a work-out.

You also, at the same time, can feel these vaginal balls moving inside of you, so you still get the stimulation while you’re focusing on retaining them. It is a very gentle movement, and if you are just walking around and doing average things, it won’t be orgasmic, but it certainly will keep you aware of the fact that you’re using them. It’s more of a tease than anything else, but it still works well.

To care for your sex toy, you just use warm water and antibacterial soap. Make sure to thoroughly clean the string from the K-Balls, but aside from that, there isn’t too much you have to be careful about while cleaning the balls. It can also be boiled for five minutes to sterilize the vaginal balls. The toy is only compatible with water-based lubricant, and the silicone doesn’t pick up dust or lint, so it can be stored anywhere you’d like. The instructions do specifically say to avoid storing this in direct sunlight or extreme heat though.

For the Ophoria K-Balls Smooth, I would recommend these most to women who are actually serious about wanting to strengthen their vaginal muscles while still receiving some pleasure from it. If you mostly use vaginal exercisers just for the sensation and don’t really “want” to work on having to retain them, this set may not work for you. However, if you are actually looking to improve your vaginal muscles while still feeling that same sexy stimulation, the Ophoria K-Balls are certainly a good choice.
