Tristan Taormino has produced quite a few sexy different videos intended purely for sexual education in a new, sexual way. This is one of those DVDs sold by Better Sex. It’s produced by Vivid Ed and Smart-Ass Productions and as you can guess, it stars Tristan Taormino (in a non-sex role.) Other actors include Penny Flame, Annie Cruz, Jandi Lin, Devin, Nomad, and Christian. The DVD’s run time is 101 minutes with about forty minutes in bonus features. As you can imagine, this is all included on one DVD. The case looks very nice and shows a male’s butt and a female with a strap-on on the cover. They used the title, the strap-on, and the cut-off of the DVD’s cover to actually end up not showing any nudity at all. The backside does have some little snapshots of the DVD, so it does show nudity though.
What’s neat about this DVD is that you can choose your lesson. You can choose to watch this DVD all the way through, or if it suits you better (because you know some of the knowledge), you can pick one of the many lessons to watch all on its own. You can also choose one of the specific sex scenes – with or without instruction – separated by each of the pairings included on the DVD. This makes it extremely easy to navigate by new knowledge or just to revisit some scenes for later masturbation use.
The DVD starts off with Tristan Taormino debunking some of the common stereotypes of anal pleasure for men. From there, she goes straight into male anatomy. She stands in front of a male anatomy diagram and points out some of the different parts to male anatomy and what each part does. From there, she discusses the preparation that you should take before anal sex which just includes using the bathroom and taking a nice shower. The fact that you may run into a bit of messiness is also discussed. After that, we learn about lubricant. The time is taken to discuss anal desensitizers and how you shouldn’t use them as well as cover the three basic types of lubricant, what they are good for, how they differ from the others, and what sex toys are compatible with the lubricant.
From there, Taormino moves onto explaining how to warm-up for anal sex. She talks about how to tease your partner for anal sex as well as how to get your hands clean and ready for anal sex. Then we move onto Sex Toys. She makes mention of the different types of sex toys that work well with anal pleasure, but not much attention is given to any specific type. We then get to meet Penny Flame and Devin. They all sit down on a couch and there’s basically an interview to talk about what Devin and Penny enjoy about anal pleasure. For some odd reason, they then progress to doing anal play on the middle of a white, uncovered couch. This made me crinch.
Tristan sits nearby making commentary while Penny and Devin play on the couch. Surprisingly, the three of them do have a pretty great chemistry that makes the scene seem very relaxed. (As relaxed as it can feel with a woman talking about anal pleasure fully-clothed while two naked people demonstrate it.) From there, Tristan leaves and allows the two to have their own sorta-alone time with each other. The scene starts off on using a gloved hand as well as prostate pleasure. After awhile of that (at one point, he starts riding her finger), Penny picks up a dildo, covers it up with a condom, (while saying “Hello buttplug. Hello lube.” which made me smile.) and uses that on him. She actually pulls the base of the condom around the base of the dildo which is something I’ve honestly never tried before.
The two of them are almost always making jokes and smiling which honestly makes this scene all the hotter. After awhile of the smaller toy, a bigger toy is pulled out and placed into a harness that Penny wears. She rides him in two seperate positions with that dildo. From there, she switches over to a double-dildo and uses the harness as well to support the dildo. The two of them talk dirty to one another quite a bit during all of this, and it’s really hot to listen to. By the time this 22 minute scene is over, both of them are pretty much drenched in sweat. The scene ends when he finishes while riding her and her double-ended dildo. Unlike in the Advanced Oral Sex: Fellatio DVD I watched, this DVD seems to be heavy on the action, light on the pop-up commentary, and when there is pop-up commentary, it usually is pretty useful.
From there, we move onto Nomad and Annie. They start off by getting undressed then Annie uses her fingers. They work their way up to four fingers. (I wish I could have seen some fisting – that would have been neat.) From there, they move onto a static string of silicone anal beads. This scene still has quite a bit of communication, but there isn’t quite as much chemistry as with the last couple. They also don’t seem to talk dirty quite as much. After the beads, they slide a butt plug in and move onto Annie receiving oral sex while the plug is in. We don’t see the plug come out, but soon after it must have been taken out, Annie dons a strap-on harness, commands him onto his knees, and they have sex that way. After that bout of sex, she pulls on a vibrating harness and uses that as well.
In this scene, Nomad just seems so innocent. While in the last scene, Devin was pretty vocal and talking dirty, Nomad just seems so cute and innocent. After all of that male anal pleasure, Annie states that she wants some penetration now, so she lays down and receives fingers first, then a large glass toy up her butt. From there, he pushes the glass toy into her while she uses the Hitachi on herself. Lots of moaning from her takes place. This 30 minute scene ends with her orgasming.
The last scene features Christian and Jandi. It starts off with them both giving oral sex to one another. Jandi is full of lots of giggles for some reason. I don’t know much about Christian, but his voice does sound like he has a bit of a cold. She also has a nose-ring in which doesn’t really affect her performance, but I just don’t find it attractive. Jandi then starts sliding a finger into his butt while giving him a blowjob. Shortly after, he falls back onto the couch and she gives him some rimming. After a bit of that (both seem to be enjoying it), she pulls out a Pure Plug and puts it in her mouth a bit to warm it up before sliding it into him. While the Pure Plug is in him, he pulls her on top of his face and gives her more oral pleasure. While the Pure Plug is still in, she sits on top of him to have sex.
(In the middle of this scene, somebody must have dropped something because there was an awkward clanging noise on the ground.) The sex is relatively normal though there is quite a bit of kissing between the two of them. He’s pretty quiet, but she is very vocal. After they have sex (in which he finished), she slides a glass toy up his butt. This leads to them having sex once again. That bout of sex ends after his finishes again. From there, they slide a vibrating prostate toy (The Rude Boy) into his butt while she pleasures him with her hand and mouth. From there, again, this leads to vaginal sex. After the sex has gone on awhile, he lays back and receives the Rude Boy again while he masturbates. That leads to his third orgasm during this scene – gotta give him that. That’s intense.
While some reviewers say that they enjoyed the third scene best, I gotta say that the first scene was my favorite. The third scene was definitely playful and cute, but I found it that – playful and cute. The first was playful, sensual, and hot. I guess that tends to trip my trigger more than just playful and cute. However, the actors in both scene one and three had quite a bit of chemistry. In the first, it was obvious, in the third, it made them a good pairing, and in the second, they seemed to understand each other pretty well. Maybe the fact that I enjoyed the first the most is the fact that it seemed to be the scene where the guy seemed to enjoy it, long after it, and want more which was shown by him pushing back into the dildo and other toys. The other two seemed to enjoy it, but it didn’t seem to be such an active role. Which is fine. To each their own, and everybody enjoys anal pleasure differently, but I think the first scene really was best for me.
My biggest complaint about the last Vivid Ed movie I watched was that there was just too many tips that interrupted the flow, and while that’s good for an instructional DVD, the tips were just silly half of the time. I’m happy to say that this movie has definitely renewed my faith and interest in the Vivid Ed movies. There are a couple voiceovers with tips, but not too many. There are a couple pop-ups that provide information about anal sex, but it isn’t enough to be distractingly annoying. The couples were all chosen well, and they work together great.
The music amazed me as well. They did an excellent job of balancing the music in the background (not distracting at all), the music from the porn actors, and Tristan Taormino’s voiceovers. All three of them could be heard easily and distinctly from one another without being distracting at all.
The extras are all neat as well and cover topics that you don’t “need” to know for anal pleasure for men but things that would still be neat to try out.
One of the topics is “Safer Sex”. It made me ridiculously happy. While you always read descriptions about how to put on dental dams and other safe sex items, this DVD actually shows how to do it on real people. It includes dental dams, cutting a glove to work for oral sex, plastic wrap, condoms, dental dams for anal oral sex, using gloves for finger penetration, and vaginal and anal sex.
The next topic is “How to Choose and Wear a Strap-On”. Tristan gives tips about different types of harnesses, how to fasten and wear a harness properly, what type of fasteners exist, and some good harness recommendations. A small bit of attention is paid to choosing a dildo for your harness. Very neat and comprehensive guide. “Solo Prostate Stimulation” covers how to use Aneros, Nexus, and other male prostate stimulation toys. In “Anal Hygiene and Enemas”, Tristan covers everything you’d need to use to give yourself an enema. We watch the girls give themselves enemas (minus the on-the-toilet part) and Tristan explains the steps in really nice, non-crass terms.
Overall? A great DVD that, while not clinical nor ridiculously specific in techniques, will give you all of the information you’d need to know, as a woman, to provide anal pleasure to men. However, this still would work well to watch as a male who is interested in anal pleasure. This DVD features lots of great features, hot sex, and amazingly good tips for anal pleasure.
