The Lace Pleated Babydoll is a free-flowing babydoll that comes in one-size-fits-most and is available in both black and red. It’s made of 100% polyester, has lace pieces, and also includes some satin. The lingerie is relatively see-through for the most part, and it does come with one of those generic thongs. The dress portion of this babydoll is made of a nicely pleated material that runs vertically. We chose to request it for review for Jor, so it’s written with him having worn it with my side-comments about being worn on a female.

The top portion is made up of really cute, see-through lacing for the cups. There isn’t any underwire nor any sort of cups or support for the breasts in this outfit. In fact, the triangle piece of lace that is going to cover your breasts is actually pretty minimal too, so if you have anything larger than a B, maybe C, this is really probably not going to hold your breasts in at all. The straps are adjustable, but the front-part of the dress straps seperate into two different pieces of ribbon. If the breast portion of the top is attempting to hold a lot of weight, I can easily see this cutting into your shoulders painfully. Again, this looks like it was made for A, B, or C breasts, but honestly, no larger.

Underneath the cups is a piece of satin that has been sewn onto the outfit. It adds an anchor point to attempt to give support to the breasts. However, this is undone by the fact that the backside of this satin piece actually has elastic in it, so it will stretch out. Unfortunately for your breasts, this leaves the dress straps alone to handle the weight of your possibly-large breasts. (Again, not a problem for smaller breasts.) The elastic is pretty stretchy, though, and does allow the outfit to fit another six-inches of person into it which is nice if you’re on the “cusp” of “one-size-fits-all”.

The rest of the dress is really free-flowing which is what I love about it. I’ve been taught since I”ve been like 5 that vertical stripes make you look thinner. (Why would a five year old care? Iunno. Guess being overweight makes that important.) It really does its job in that department. When you put it on, it’ll camoflauge a lot of the flaws that you think you have. It’ll direct your viewer’s eyes up to your chest and face instead of your tummy. Because the fabric is pleated, it also has some stretch to it, so it’ll easily adjust to a bigger size or will happily lay freely for a smaller size.

Circumference of satin underbust: 26″, no stretch
Circumference of middle of mesh portion: 32″ sitting, 50″ with stretch
Length of dress from underbust to bottom: 17″

I’d think this lingerie was best for those who have small breasts but have a bit of a stomach or want to hide their midsection. Because the toy doesn’t really provide any support for larger breasts, this may look unflattering if you have larger breasts. However, the loose material combined with the pleating that is on the bottom-half of the dress will hide flaws amazingly in the midsection. It will make you appear slimmer than you are because of the lines running downard in the pleating. Plus, the bottom dress section is just the tiniest bit see-through which makes it erotic, but still lives quite a bit to the imagination.

Jor is 6 feet and 145 pounds. (I seriously need to take his measurements sometime.) This dress fits him pretty perfectly, and it ends up hanging off his body quite adorably. I love it and think it’s extremely flattering to his figure, but he rarely, if ever, wears it. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s because of the material it’s made from. While none of it is “scratchy”, Jor has a thing for soft, luxurious feeling materials, so his favorite nighties are made purely of satin, mesh, or silk. Spoiled little thing, he is. However, it is flattering, but the main reason he has nighties is to wear them to bed, so he probably just doesn’t like the feel of the material overnight. (Though I don’t think I’d have a problem with it.)

On that note, he does agree that it’s comfortable. He has no breasts to contend with, so he doesn’t deal with the straps and where the breast support is going to go. He finds it pretty easy to slip on and off but wishes it did have more breast support (and wider breast triangle pieces), so he could put his breast forms into it comfortably.

What sizes do I think this “one size fits all” will fit? If you are male, it’s going to vary because really, the only part that really needs to adjust is the part around the chest. The dress is free-flowing, and the straps should adjust to anyone’s preference. Around the chest is the only place that really cinches tightly to the body. Jor wears a 5/7, but he has a broad chest. I’d say a woman probably up to a size 10 (or 12, but it’d be tight) would easily be able to wear this. It really depends on where her weight is placed – if it’s up under the breasts or near the stomach. Under the breasts and around the backside is where the “size” of this matters. As for breasts, I really wouldn’t recommend this if you are over a C cup.

The tag on the outfit recommends washing it separately and highly recommends getting it dry cleaned. I don’t think I’ll ever have this dry cleaned honestly. Seems like way too much of a cost for a piece of lingerie. Jor isn’t storing it very well – it’s currently in a basket sitting in our closet, but if you really want to keep it nice, I’d recommend hanging it up. Jor’s just lazy. I’ve read that, to sustain pleating, you can wash it regularly, but you want to lay it out on a flat surface to dry instead of putting it in a washing machine.

So what do I think? I think that, if you have a small chest, but have been cursed with a bit of a tummy (or are self-conscious about it), this is perfect. If you want to put emphasis on your chest and make it look larger, this will do it as well. Really, it’s an adorable outfit that I really happen to like, and as long as you don’t have large breasts, this is sexy. It’s also one of the only pieces of lingerie where “one size fits most” seems to actually work quite effectively. This cute outfit is sold by this sex toy store, but it seems to only be listed on their Ebay store. (For a very reasonable price, might I add.)
