Made from TPU, PE, PC, and foam, this mask features a single, adjustable elastic strap around eye level to fasten the mask to the face. This kinky mask covers only the face and doesn’t go around the entire head. This roleplay sex mask, which was designed in Berlin, is suitable for outdoor use and offers a large field of vision. The mask allows for full vision of the wearer and it has vents near the mouth for easier breathing and speaking.
Like most MEO.de items, this kinky face mask comes in a plastic bag. This bag has to be destroyed in order to get the mask out of the bag. I really recommend having some sort of storage idea in mind before you go too nuts with wearing your new mask. The vision area of the mask could scratch up pretty easily, and depending upon your annoyance level, this might be the worst thing in the world. I’d recommend a safe, sturdy box – or at least a slightly padded bag.
It’s a pretty interesting mask – even without seeing it on a person, you have to admit that it is. It has a very obvious “video game” feel to it – which can be distracting – or kinky – depending upon your fetishes. I personally love it. The full face covering is really depersonalizing while the tinted lenses help block out some vision of the eyes too. It really has a “sadistic” feel to it that I love personifying when I’m wearing it.
As for the actual construction, most of this kinky fetish mask is made from plastic. It’s a pretty thin, light-weight plastic – but heavier duty than most costume store stuff. The lens for the vision is also a type of plastic. so you don’t have to worry about destroying glass. This all keeps the mask pretty darn light-weight on your face. In addition, there’s a nice, thick layer of foam around the eye area that helps pad the mask and keep any of the weight from resting on your nose or face in any painful manner. There’s a slight padding to the mouth vent area, but it’s very, very light. Probably just to reduce any excess light making it into the mask and disturbing your vision.
One of my biggest concerns about wearing a full face mask is the ability to breathe. This one does hamper your ability to breathe a bit – but not terrible. The “MEO” faceplate area is actually a whole bunch of vents, so that adds to the breathability. In addition, the mask doesn’t actually “sit flat” on the entirety of your face. The bottom parts of the mask are lifted away from your face – letting you feel a breeze or change in temperature on your cheeks or chin. So you get some breathing room there. You’ll likely be fine wearing it for hours at a time once you get accustomed to it. But it’s still a mask, so that’s something to keep in mind. It will definitely have you breathing more heavily more quickly than if you weren’t wearing a kinky facial covering at all.
Secondly, I care about how much I can see. (Hey, I think my priorities are straight here!) The field of vision with this kinky face covering is pretty good. I’m missing my far peripheral vision, but aside from that, it’s pretty good. It honestly gives better field of vision than my eyeglasses do. So I have no complaint about the field of vision. As for the actual vision of the mask, it’s pretty much perfect. There’s no cloudiness or tinted colors to it. I know it looks that way from the outside, but nope. My living room looks just like my living room – no change in color temperature or blurriness. And I’m even wearing it while typing this review with absolutely no problem.
Third, there’s how comfortable the kinky mask is. In most cases, I’d want to wear a mask like this for the entirety of the evening with a costume – or I’d want to wear it during a scene. In either case, I don’t want to be distracted all night by something that isn’t comfortable. This mask has the single headband – which is entirely adjustable. There’s a thin line between “too loose that it falls off” and “so tight that it hurts”. However, once you find that thin line for your face, it’s pretty damn comfortable. It doesn’t squeeze too tightly on the head. It will get a bit warm the longer you wear it (because of your breath breathing back onto you), but it’s not terrible. The extra space around the bottom of the mask (where the mask doesn’t touch your skin) and all of the exposed hair bits allow your face and body to regular temperature pretty nicely while wearing this mask. Expect to get sweaty if you’re wearing it during a scene or anything really active, but you’ll be fine if you’re just wearing it for fun.
As a note, I do wear glasses or contact lenses – depending on my mood. This mask doesn’t work with my eyeglasses. However, it works perfectly – and is super comfortable – with my contact lenses. There’s absolutely no added pressure or annoyance on my eyes.
Fourth, we can talk about speaking. You definitely have some mumbled speaking when wearing the mask. The mouth vent – and the two cheek vents help – but don’t expect to have clear, easy discussions with someone. You can get across basic ideas and short sentences with no issues, but if you’re going to have a long negotiation or very important conversation where you need to communicate clearly, you’re going to want to take it off. The Alien Fetish Mask covers zero bits of the ears, so you can hear perfectly fine. Though it does make you a lot more conscious of the sound of your breathing, so that is slightly distracting when it comes to hearing things.
When it comes to cleaning, you’ll likely want to give this a wipedown after most of the uses. You don’t have to go nuts with it, but it’ll get a bit dirty from body oils and sweat, and you don’t want to transfer that to your face again next time you wear it. A damp washcloth – and maybe a bit of soap, depending on how well-used you’ve made the kinky mask – is probably a good fit. Keep in mind that the inner foam linings won’t be too particularly fond of getting saturated in water, so that’s something to consider when cleaning it up.
Overall, the Alien Fetish Mask is a great way to hide your identity, get some sadistic visuals in your play, and still be pretty comfortable. It doesn’t impede the wearer’s vision all that much, is only slightly warm to wear, and it’s pretty comfortable with virtually no scratching or discomfort. It’ll muffle your words a little bit, so I wouldn’t use this during anything dangerous or communication-heavy, but it’s fantastic for sex scenes where you go in feeling comfortable about the activities you’re going to do.
