G-ki Review

The G-Ki sitting in the storage box

For a long time, I’ve had a problem reaching my g-spot with other toys intended for it. I’m not sure if it’s because they don’t work well with me or what, but because of G-ki’s ability to move around and become customizable, I wanted to try this out for a possible solution to my g-spot problem. After a little bit of debate, I chose to purchase this off of a sex shop I trust.

G-Ki, made by Je Joue, is a silicone vibrator. It’s nine inches in total length and its insertable portion will slightly vary depending on what position you put the vibrator in. For the most part, the insertable length will stay around five inches. It has a diameter of an inch and a half which is easily managable for any woman. Because it’s made from silicone, it’s body-safe and phthalate-free. The material is also soft and slick with a slight bit of grip. The core is much firmer which will allow for strong g-spot stimulation where you want it. The entire body of the G-Ki is smooth without any seams except where the buttons to change the positioning lie. At those parts, there’s a slight raised bump on the surface.

The G-Ki's controls.

The G-ki comes in gorgeous packaging. It comes in a plain, undecorated box that looks somewhat like Lelo’s packaging. Inside the box is a box with a bow on it. If you untie the bow, you’ll open up the lid to see the G-ki sitting nicely in a plastic tray. The tray is designed to allow you to be able to store the G-ki – no matter what position you have the G-Ki sitting in. Underneath the tray will be the charger that goes with the G-ki. The box itself should work wonders for storage – it doesn’t come with a baggie, but the box is sturdy and firm, so you should be able to keep your G-ki in it.

The G-ki largest selling point is its ability to become customizable. The sex toy can go from a traditional-looking g-spot vibrator all the way to a “J” shape. This means that it will fit a large variety of women’s needs – regardless of your g-spot’s position in your body. If you’ve had problems reaching your g-spot in the past with other g-spot toys, the G-ki could be your new answer. With the vibrator’s curve, you could also use it for g-spot stimulation while the body of the toy would be used for clitoral stimulation.

Different adjustment positions of the G-ki

To change the curve, you just hold down two little buttons on either side of the joint you want to move. From there, you can move the shape of the toy. Once you let go of the buttons, the toy will lock in place. Once it’s locked, the G-ki won’t change positions again until you press down the two buttons again. If you want to change the positions – that’s how you do it. It’s easy to change. If it feels forced, it is forced which means that you haven’t held the buttons down firmly enough.

The G-ki changes shape in two distinct locations. One will change the body of the G-ki from more of a straight line to more of a curve. The second change will be the tip of the G-ki itself. It will change it from slightly curved in to slightly curved out. The second change is very minor compared to the larger change of the first.

The G-ki’s controls are centered on the handle of it. It has two buttons on there marked with a “+” and “-” that will control the strength of the vibrations. These two buttons are also magnetic and serve as the charging point for the charger. You just have to plug the charger into an outlet and place the contact pad against the G-ki’s control buttons. When the G-ki is charging, the light on the charger will blink. When it’s done charging, the light on the G-ki will stay on. That means there are no holes into the toy – making it waterproof. The G-ki takes two hours to fully charge and will last for two hours of usage on a full charge. During use, if it’s running low on batteries, the red light at the base of the control panel will turn on.

Taken from the side so you can see the slightly-elevated bumps of the adjustment buttons

As described before, the G-ki’s vibrations are controlled by the control pad with the “+” and “-“. To turn on the G-ki, hold down the “+” for two seconds. To turn it off, hold down the “-” for two seconds. The G-ki has five steady vibration levels that slowly get stronger as you increase the speeds. The highest speed isn’t anything amazing, but it is pretty decently strong for a rechargable vibrator. The sixth speed is medium pulsations at the highest vibration level, and the seventh speed is short pulsations at the highest vibration level. The vibrations are centered in the handle of the G-ki but do transfer pretty nicely to the rest of the body of the toy without losing very much power.

The vibrations are moderately quiet as well. If you are using the G-ki under a blanket with the door shut, no one outside the room would be able to hear it. Jor can barely hear if from across the room if he is playing a video game. The sound also becomes much more quiet after the toy is inserted compared to being used for external use.

The G-ki, because it doesn’t have any holes in the toy itself because of the great charging system, is waterproof. This means that you can take this into your bath or shower and enjoy some private time there. It passed the splash test with flying colors, and it seemed to be able to withstand being held underwater pretty nicely as well.

So did it actually work? Yes, I’d say so. It still hasn’t helped me find my impossibly-ridiculous g-spot, but it still felt quite pleasurable. The vibrations were strong enough to be pleasurable without being numbingly so. I know other women have definitely had success finding their g-spot with the G-ki. Many do say the vibrations are a little weak for those who enjoy strong g-spot vibrations. I think I probably just need more time with my G-ki, and it’ll be helping me find my g-spot.

Lubricant is a must for using the G-ki. The drag of the silicone material doesn’t lend well to the female body without using lubrication. However, make sure you use water-based lubricant instead of the silicone-based lubricant. Silicone toys and silicone lubricant don’t mix well together. Cleaning is pretty easy. Just wipe it down with warm water and antibacterial soap. Wiping it down with a bleach solution will help sterilize the G-Ki. After you’ve finished cleaning it, I recommend keeping it in the original box when you aren’t using it. It will help keep it lint-free and safe.

I must recommend this for anyone who is having difficulty finding their g-spot. I haven’t found mine quite yet with the G-ki, but with time, I’m sure it’s going to happen. Try picking this up too. This adult toy store sells it, so go ahead and purchase the G-Ki. If you want to save some money on your EdenFantasys purchase, use the coupon code “EP4” at checkout.
